Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)what is this mean im getting out from AP?
suggest you call into DoS Hotline, get a Human™, and inquire for casefile status,
also ask specifically, "Is Administrative Processing Finished, or not?"

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Deported from the US (for a friend)
he was given papers at the deportation hearing.
he needs to review those, study them, to learn about the length of the ban currently in place.

in the end, when the visa is approved in London, he'll still need to request a waiver of said ban (more forms, more money)

So, have yer buddy study up at http://immigrate2us.net soonish.

we? no

I only pay attention to the ones in CHINA

as 221G has different usage there, compared to other IV units across the world.

You could compile a list, though, if you'd like, by studying posts in the http://www.visajourn...processes-221g/ forum, putting pen to paper in compiling that list.

dont get me wrong - but i thought you were offering help.
thanks

No, not really.
I was trying to point you in the right direction, though, to get some idea of what's what, with that url.

AP is not usually a piece of a 'soft denial' with the 221G, back in China - I've no idea how it works, AP, at all.
I do know that a Chinese Communist Party FORMER MEMBER or CURRENT Member will go through a mandatory administrative processing time, after the interview..

I do remember reading that AP occurs after an interview, successful one or not.
For MENA countries, males usually go through a period of AP..

IMO, 221G and AP are not related.

in China, the 221G is in 2 categories - 'unable to issue visa, sending back to DoS/USCIS' and 'hey - give us more info'.
Usually, the request for more info is on a blue slip, and the 'send back' notice is on a white slip.

But, that's all I know, man.. Dig Deep in that forum, you should be able to compile a list rather quickly, simply from READING the topics there (easier from a PC, btw).

Good Luck with yer compilation !!

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)LARGE AGE GAPS, PRIOR MARRIAGES NEED NOT APPLY

Are you saying that there is a definite, documented bias against older women marrying younger men? Has that just been your personal experience, or do you have any statistics on their refusal rates?

They can interview us a thousand times as long as they don't say no. Salatiel wants me to quit my job and come to Honduras anyway. Maybe someday that is how it will turn out. I still have issues here in the states that hold me back, though.

It's a problem in MENA countries, alas.
But it's not so much the age,
as it is
the historical fact that many of these 'boys' have defrauded the USCitizen Petitioner, over time.
There's a logged history of this stuff.

So, with a 'logged history' , a CO takes a different view, when handling an interview in a MENA country, when the woman is over 40 and the man is under 30.

Sorry, that's the way it is. Who to thank for this? Why, all of the 'boys' that defrauded USCitizens over the last 12 years.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Does Overstay Apply for this?

How long was the overstay?

What exactly do you mean by "being reported by US government employee for overstay"?

You need to provide more details if you want to receive meaningful answers to your questions.

She's covered a lot (I do mean a lot) in her prior posts, fwiw.
DarnellMaleChina2012-02-19 01:28:00
Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Possible 221g?
Usually red flags issued are handled by letters of attestation with accompanying evidence.
Usually.

Also, for a K-1, is best to submit the letters of attestation with the I-129F submittal. Is rare they are accepted on interview day at GUZ IV, though you could try - in the first 30 seconds of the interview. After that first 30 seconds, though - the VO's attention is elsewhere.

I think 4 is still hearsay, even from a US Government Employee - the effects of an overstay vary, but remind us all again - why and when in WHAT PROCESS did the fraud investigation unit get involved?
DarnellMaleChina2012-02-14 11:01:00
Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Possible 221g?
ok - so 'when applying for B-1 visa' , is not the same 'timetick' as 'returned to CHINA after 14 days overstay'.

I say 'the man' did nothing after you returned from USA; instead a regular report of overstay was put in your casefile, instead.

Unless you have more to add ? [sorry, I only surmise based on what you've written]

immigration court is in the usa.

yer fiance is in panama, not usa.

The Waiver, for a k-1 visa, is not done at any immigration court.

As to the CBP officer giving advice - don't fret - 10 times out of 10, they are wrong. Is different purview - they are CBP, not USCIS; even though all are under DHS.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)221g yellow slip
the only evil thing about the DOS Hotline
is
They can't TELL YOU what's in the consular notes section on the casefile, stored in their computer.
They might give you some gist of it, but nothing exact.

As for your exact situation -
HEY ! this is not bad news - it's NOT DENIED - they only want further stuff, and are giving him the opportunity to give them further stuff.

What they want, and the manner/medium to get it back to GUZ IV, are IN the documents he received on interview day. I beg of you, ask him to scan them in, email to you, then YOU eyeball review it.
DarnellMaleChina2011-12-02 12:23:00
Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)221g yellow slip
eh - most likely it's a letter with instructions on how to submit the passport - it's not a call-in letter (which gets him into the IV unit another time, like a hall pass)

But I'm ski-ing a sippery slope here - usually if the letter is asking for the passport, then DoS will know some status.

He'll get the letter soon, you can have a look, tell us all ? Relax for a bit, whilst yer waiting.. Do not freak out, prior. (Or I make you cook 19 dozen jiaozi)

to the OP -

if you have a couple of degrees, suggest you apply to work for the UN Food Commission in Italy. They will recognize yer USA degrees without 'translation'.

Forget about the USA for a bit, at least a decade.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Status after denial of case
well, you've probably sussed this out by now,
but

The casefile was re-adjudicated at USCIS, and a notice was sent to the US Embassy notifying same of the approval.

At some point, soonish, the casefile will be sent back to that IV Unit at that US Embassy,
and
you'll receive notification from them on when to come in for an interview.

Once you've got a new interview date, check the issuance dates on yer police certificates and medical exams - it may be that they've already 'expired' and you'll need new ones.

Good luck, and congratulations !

IMO, they will be doing research on the two waivers that you have in place, to be certain that all is good on the two waivers you filed.
But that's just a guess.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Casablanca Morocco Interview

I'm sorry, I didn't understand what you mean.

He does have AP, but not sent to USCIS. They suspended his case to do "waiver research", which I guess means they are studying his waiver packet (because he didn't know the website we met on according to the CO.) What I am figuring out is that he is looking at the waiver packet because he doesn't trust the legitimacy of our marriage before he agrees to send it off to Rome? Does that make sense to anyone, or no?

AP at Casa is not 100 percent 'sent to USCIS' at all.

MOST AP cases stay in Casa, whilst the namechecks are wrapped up, finished, elsewhere.
But that's just namechecks, aye? a namecheck can be part of AP.

IMO, he's in AP because of waiver research - he has to have some status, is either approved, AP or denied.

I missed the Rome reference, but I know it's for the waivers.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Casablanca Morocco Interview
I've not educated myself fully on what Casa does, how they handle stuff, so most of what I'm putting out here is a GUESS, based on other casefiles prior to you that had one piece of yer puzzle. I've not read about a Case at Casa™ with all of yer puzzle pieces.

HOWEVER. DoS Hotline will know a bit about the casefile and casefile status. (# in my profile, click the girls, left panel)
Some pointed questions for DoS Hotline, tomorrow, when they are open:

1. Was casefile put in AP?
2. was AP for namechecks solely?
3. what is status of the waivers we submitted?
4. how long will it take for the namechecks to be completed?
5. how long will it take for the waivers to be enacted ?
6. can you see any indication of WHAT the 2nd interview will be about, for next week?

----
some people with 2nd interviews, have their USCitizen Spouse attend that 2nd interview. You might want to think about that, a bit, over the next 24 hours.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Casablanca Morocco Interview

Wow! So you think they will make a decision when he goes to the 2nd interview?

Hard to say. I'm a bit clueless about waiver process. Tis my lack, not yours.

Can you tell me if the waivers stuff:

1. you have approved waiver, or just the waiver paperwork to submit?
2. you were told to submit the waiver requests and forms on interview day, knowing full well the waivers will be processed after the interview ?

Sorry if you've covered this before, my sleep has been sporadic these last 72 hours.

404 is the current amount for DS-230 intake/processing at NVC, but that's a amalgamation of the Security Fee and the Visa Application Fee.

I dunno, if money isn't any issue, pay it and go forth.
If money is an issue, then get the head of the IV unit in Dominica to clarify for you.

colors are specific per Embassy. For example - PINK = passed, BLUE = need more info, white is EITHER a call in letter OR a denial, at Guangzhou IV Unit. It's not standard, from what I understand.
