Thanks!
And now for the tricky part...
Has anyone filed using their green card/I-551 stamp instead of their EAD?

I'm very lucky to be going through the San Antonio office, which takes 2-4 months for an AOS interview. I will not be applying for my EAD because of this.

I thought the same thing 'cus we went through San Antonio - We finally got our appointment a year later when I made an infopass appointment enquiring why we were STILL waiting.

Good Luck hope you don't have any problems.

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionposted I-751 out yesterday
Hi everyone, been a while since I posted! ~ *waving to the people still here who know me from the beginning of our journeys wink.gif

Just sent my I-751 packet out to TSC yesterday and now the waiting begins again I guess!

So does this BIG fee increase mean a quicker approval for us or is the time still dragging these days?

Thanks!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFrustrated! grr
When we were approved back in Dec 05, my Middle child had to wait because they had forgot to send his fingerprints to be checked etc, so we had to go back for his green card in March of 06 - so today i receive my application back stating that my Son entered into the USA 90 days after me so he can not be included on our application and we have to file separately within 90 days of Marc 08. This does not seem fare as it was their mistake we had to wait for his green card and he entered the US on the same day as me and his brothers.

This means we have to file separately and pay the whole fee again in January! - I'm am so frustrated, it is alot of money to begin with and I don't see any other options..any thoughts on this please?

Good luck Joanne! My fingers are crossed for you! I can't believe TSC is being that incompetent (well, actually I can but that's another story)... hope you get it sorted soon.

Can you point me to where it is written about that?

Only the rejection letter said he was rejected because he did not enter within 90 days of me arriving here, he actually arrived on the same day and I have been told to send copies of the visas and to point this out to them.

You said that's incorrect I was wondering how you knew that for definite if you don't mind me asking.

I have sent the application back and written them a letter.

I figure if it gets rejected again we will be beyond our date by then but within his date time frame if that is the case we will have to write another letter explaining we we're late - due to misinformation and being rejected from them - or make a info pass apt and hope we get the help we truly need! - honestly this whole process has been complicated from the beginning, never straight forward nor easy for us, through no fault of our own!

Good Luck Everyone and wish me luck, I think as usual we will need it! lol

I am now being told by the 1-800 number that because my Son did enter the USA on the same day as us and although he got his green card late I should infact include him and they were wrong.

So I have to risk submitting with including him and hope it passes or god knows what..I have wrote them a letter..onlt time will tell I guess - I will resend tomorrow and hope for the best

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHelp!
My Sons are 19, 16 and 12 the 16 year old is the one who can not apply with us, I removed his copy of the green card and explained I understood we could not include him in the application and changed our cover letter and deducted the 80 dollars from the original and sent 3 checks one for the application and my own biometrics for $545 and two checks for 80 dollars.

I am thinking that maybe another officer thought I had forgotten to include the 16 yr old without seeing his conditions cannot be removed until next year, Maybe they did not like having 3 checks, I do not know.

The only thing I can do now is resubmit with one check of $705 as I don't see anything wrong..

Thanks, I sent separate checks for our AOS, so thought it would be ok, maybe they refused it cus it was three checks?

I tried making and info pass apt and got this message

"At this time, there are no information appointments available for the office in your area. Please try back again later."

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHelp!
Please does anyone know what I did wrong.

I resubmitted after I was told I could not include one of my children in my 751 application because it took them longer to approve him as they had not done his fbi checks, so I resubmitted with a cheque for myself for $545 and two separate checks for $80 for the two children I could include in my application.

Today I received my paperwork back again saying "application received in this office without a fee are returned to the applicant, resubmit with the appropriate fee and return etc

Please anyone have any ideas why my fee is wrong?
