US Citizenship General DiscussionN-400 June 2013 Filers

Hello everyone, just had my interview at 8:15 everything was very smooth and easy and the officer  asked me the following questions;

1 which state was bought from france in 1708

2 what are two parts of the united states congress

3 How many voting members does the house of representatives have

4 under the constitution, some powers belong to states what is one of those powers

5 what are two ways that americans can participate in their democracy

6 when was the declaration of independance was adopted

Then the officer reviewed all the application with me, confirming that everything was correct. after we finished all that she(officer) escort me to the waiting room to wait for a letter. did not know what it could be.

after 30 minuntes wait, another officer showed up and called a group of people  including me. we were told that we were scheduled for OATH on Sept 26 @ 12:30 pm  dancin5hr.gif good.gif
after all this I was very surprised and pleased of how the process was.  It only took Three (3) months

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionRemoval of condition of residency

Hi

I had my GC in 2007. I applied for I-751 in 2009, had a second interview 6months later. It did not go so well because I had lived in another state prior which I did not mention. They said I will hear from them but I haven't since that interview. Its about a year since the interview. At the interview he took these information before i left: my cell phone number! wiered I thought!

Anybody with a similar story? Will I even receive it? Any sugestions?

I was there a few monts ago and receivd a stamp for 6months renewal. This will expire very soon and I plan on going for another renewal while the case is still pending.

make an infopass quick, and let them know what is going on with your case, if nothings is resolved then you have to contact your local congressman immediately for further action.
what happened at the interview why did it not go so well
let us know

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionROC, almost a year ago and no updates

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding one of my friend's status on ROC.

She filed on Aug of 2009 to remover her conditions, she got her bio letter and did all that, then she got a RFE to send more evidence and she did send it on Jan of 2010. Now, she has no update and does not know what to do. Her proof of evidence is very basic since they were both unemployed for a certain time and were living under the roof of their relatives. They sent the following:

Joint bank accounts
Life insurance with their names as 100% beneficieries
Pictures
Auto insurance with both of their names as owners
Title of their cars with both ownership on their cars
Affidavit letters
Leasing letter with their names on it.

What can they do?
And also, can she apply for naturalization while still pending approval of ROC? Her 3 years will be in November.

Thanks

1) Is this what she sent after or before the RFE?

2) Your friend waited to long to respond the RFE

3) she should get the help of a lawyer and/or get the local congressman involved ASAP

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionStill no bio appt letter

Wow Eric,

I'd never dream of making such a rude post to someone just because we are concerned about our immigration status. I don't believe I'm over reacting because on the July filers thread nearly everyone has had a bio and many have already gotten their green cards. Perhaps you should read your replies before you post to avoid sounding so rude. This website here is for support and help and that's exactly what I was seeking....my intent was not to annoy you.

Thanks to everyone else who has been helpful, it's very reassuring.

++1 just try to schedule your infopass and let us know how it goes

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionInterview...

Okay we sent in our adjustment of status paperwork in march (to remove the restrictions) We got biometrics in july-- we got an RFE last month, and now we have an interview. Here is my question:

I sent in:

(FIRST TIME)

Photos of us together
3 affidavit's
our joint bank account statement
copies of envelopes we received together while married

SECOND TIME ON RFE

3 more affidavits
most recent joint bank statement
statement from my mother stating we live with her and all of the bills/rental agreements are in her name
Copy of my i.d. showing address, copy of his id showing address, and copy of mom's id showing address

Okay-- We don't have property together
we don't have health insurance
we don't have kids
we don't have bills in our names
we don't have any car lease together (I own my car)
we don't have pay stubs from work (we are both in college together)

The only thing I might be able to provide is an itinerary for a trip we are taking in December to Denmark-- BUT I am registered under my maiden name because I am waiting until my passport expires to change my name.

SO, any suggestions lol? What should I bring?

what about tax returns

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionJuly 2010 Filers
hello all,
today I attended to my Bio appointment in charlotte NC the room was very empty with five employees or less and one capturing the fingerprints, its probably why the apointment notices are taking way longer than others, but MINE are done for now

By they way I called USCIS customer service inquiring about my receipt number (EAC XXX XXX) showing not to be found by the USCIS online system.

the lady on the phone told me that the petition that i submitted(I-751)CANNOT be check online and then I was like  then I responded to her that I have several friend and a forum online that have the same case as I do and they check their NOA's number online without any problems

then she told me that uscis only notifies thru regular mail( a little rude)

made me mad and I just hung up !!!!!!
I will call again and see what kind of luck do I get

the way I see it, is that they work half of the months, choosing stacks of files for example(july and august) and on September they go back and pick what was left from July and august

Andres0603 is Charlotte your local office? It's mine and I received my NOA2 on the same day as you did and still haven't gotten my bio appointment. It also looks like there is someone on the August filer list who is in the same boat. I'm thinking that Charlotte must just be a busier office and we should all hear something soon.

yes my local office is charlotte, I was just concern that half of the july BIO's have been received and the other half still waiting on it(suddenly stopped :wow:)

looks like USCIS is jumping one month from the other back and forth, a prime example is the August files, they already have more than three or four BIO appointments from Vermont.

Hi andres0603. If you look back on the last group of July VSC filers you'll see that several people have yet to receive a bio appointment. I hope you guys will get them soon. I think if it's been 30 days you can try to do a service request to find out about the NOA2 and when your appointment will be.

thank you for the reply jamericanlove, I probably wait another week if not I would call USCIS for sure

are the customer service people @ USCIS would be able to tell when NOA2 is schedule or do I have to ask for an officer

hello everyone, I am a little bit worried, it has exactly been 1 month since I got my first NOA (7/26/10 NOA's Date) and I have not heard anything for my BIO appointment yet.

also, I had to write USCIS a letter because my first NOA had my name incomplete and misspelled.

anybody else has been experiencing the same situation??

I just found out that USCIS cash the check of my application and it shows wroted by them a serial number starting with EAC-XXXX of course I went ahead and checked the USCIS webstie for this number and appears invalid.

also it shows that my application for I-485 was approved on sept 26, 2008 and for some reason in my portfolio shows that it was last updated on (04/18/2010)way before my application 90-day period (dont know why)
