VietnamNow I can pace.

Take it from someone who was married before, wives quickly forget things that are of no importance to them.

BUT...if you screw up and piss her off, you can be sure that she will remember every detail of what you did and said 10/20/30 years later!

 you are so right! lol

Vietnambad american husband
I think you have a good heart but you don't know her or her husband well enough to intervene. You have your own family to think about and who knows what this man is capable of. See if she will report him to the police and if she won't, take her to the nearest Vietnamese Consulate to see if they can help her to get home.

This is a very sad story though :(

why don't you get a couple of legal consultations? many lawyers offer the first consultation for free. if you go to a few appointments, you can compare the advice you're given by different attorneys and see where you should go from there.

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusNeed some advice. Friend of mine met a Russian Lady
You can only do so much and no more for your friend. If he still refuses to take your advice then allow him to learn the lesson for himself. It's his life. There are a million red flags popping up in this online connection. This has nothing to do with the Russian woman and everything to do with his naivete. :bonk:

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWhy We Seperated
Every real relationship has ups and downs... The fact that she returned home when you guys separated gives me the impression that she only came to the US to be with you and for no other reason.

If she's asked about the circumstances of the separation and her departure, she should be honest about the issues you both had and how you worked them out. Your relationship is not only stronger but you've realised that you can't live without each other.

I wish you two lovebirds all the best at the interview... your post made me smile :)

She has to qualify on her own merit and just indicate on the application form that you are paying for her ticket. There's nothing you can really do for her.

You are working things out with your husband. Every marriage has its ups and downs. You and your husband are in a bona fide marriage so you have nothing to worry about.

As the previous posters have said, change your contact information and cut all ties with him.

Hi everyone!

I should've posted weeks ago since I'm a Sept filer but here goes. My GC date is 11/30/11. I sent my N-400 off on Sept 20 to Phoenix AZ lockbox, my NOA date is 09/24. Not sure when my money order was cashed but I am currently waiting for biometrics notice. Field office should be Chicago, IL

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionBiometrics Letter
It varies as Inky rightly said.

Mine came after 2 weeks of submitting the AOS docs.

I think you shouldn't take the chance and leave the country during the AOS process though because you don't want to miss an important notice or something.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCase cannot be found?
That happened to me too. Some numbers work, some don't. You can maybe check every time you get a hard-copy notice to see if they've started updating your case online yet but don't be worried if it never shows up once you keep getting your USCIS/ DHS letters in the mail.
