Hi everyone,

I called the USE today and got a wonderful news from Grace. After 2 weeks of waiting under AR/Document Verification finally my visa was printed and for release today too smile.gif She asked me for my complete address and wait for Delbros text message and delivery as well.

God is so wonderful and He listened to my prayers! "Knock and you will be opened.. Seek and you will find"... Now that's a miracle and blessing for me and my fiance! smile.gif

Thanks for all of you guys here on VJ and for Loterly for being so helpful smile.gif

For all under AR and documents that were verified and forwarded at the USE keep in touch with them cuz you'll be the next!

That was super quick after I called Grace at the USE on Wednesday.

Friday, May 9 - NAIA

NWA
Manila----Tokyo----St.Paul/Minneapolis-----Raleigh/Durham

1. Ryan and I arrived at 4:30am for our 8am flight.. opps too early ha biggrin.gif , coz we have tons of baggage.. so we want to be early than catching up the time
(Ready ur itinerary/ticket & passport, the guard at the departure gate will check it) Passed through x-ray check...
2. Fall in a long line at NWA flight #020.. security of NWA gave us departure embarkation and stickers for our luggage. She checked for our passport & my visa. We finished almost 5:40
3. We checked in 3 huge bags smile.gif wahh just about the limit weight of baggage...and 2 carry on.. 1 for me & 1 for Ryan...
(Liquids are allowed, just put in a zip bag.. I brought face creams, gels, toner, lotion, etc ... but don't put this stuff in carry on,, I did put mine in checked in bag, so it was not a hassle in the connecting flight check counters.

4. Wahhh the lady at check in counter in NWA told me to pay travel tax (P1,620 for economy, 2000 something I can't remember for first/business class) in Travel tax counter, it's near in the gate when u enter, it is easy to find though... and return after to get our boarding pass..
(I'm kinda shocked of this coz we thought it is paid of when we bought our ticket in NWA. Ryan was not ask to pay though, only me.. OH well, i will not return for long, so it's fine.. biggrin.gif (just bring extra money just in case, u can change it to $ later inside the departure area)
5. Back to the counter and got our boarding pass
6. We proceed to Departure tax counter... (P750) she stamped our boarding pass
7. Immigration Line, (wahhh I'm glad it's not crazy long like arrival
(The officer asked me who is my petitioner.. hmmm i just point Ryan who was infront of me, he just finished--She smiled and said... mgksama kau?
8. Passed the Xray counter, separate for girls & guys (removed shoes, metal belt, removed ur laptop from the bag, liquid stuff)
9. We proceed to the assigned gate... (it's already 6:15am)
10. Boarded the plane at 7:05 ( wahhh the plane did not leave until 9:00.. instead of our 8am flight.. delayed for some electrical problem.. (we are sweating, it's hot inside the plane ...
11. FINally left to Toyko ... at arrival pass to check in again... (removed shoes, laptop again)
12. Went to assigned gate, it is easy to find the connecting flight, just follow the signs,, it's in English, so don't worry
13. Our gate was open already coz we are delayed, so we boarded right away.. (TO MINNEAPOLIS)
14. Arrived in St. Paul Minneapolis 1 hour early:) thnxxxxx GOD coz we have only 1 hour and 30 mins layover, so it's 2 hours and 30 mins now
15. I fall in line in new immigrant counter...and RYan in US residents line.. (dont fall in line in visitors, it's long)
16. Ryan finished already while i'm still waiting sad.gif coz the guy fr P.I too ahead of me was interviewed long..
17. MY turn.. smile.gif gave my passport, Form 1-94 given by the crew in NWA before landing in MInneapolis. (Fill it out in all capital letters) I gave my yellow orange envelope. While checking it, He asked me this questions:
-- Where are you going?
-- When did you first met?
-- What is his job?
-- What do you want to work?
-- Do you have food in your luggage? I answered no.. He said, ARE u sure? (i have only 2 pack of lucky me pancit canton) I forgot about it smile.gif
-- How old are you?
-- When do u plan to get married?
-- How old are you? and look at me.. (wahh again?... oh well maybe he think that I gave him wrong age ... biggrin.gif
-- When is ur birthday?
-- How far are u in Charlotte, NC? You can file ur AOS, EAD etc
He asked me to put my left index finger in the finger scanning, the the right... and posed for the camera. smile.gif they have webcam in the window
-- He then said, get married in 90 days... Welcome to USA..
That's it.. it's easy.. so don't worry .. just relax

18. Ryan collected our luggage already.. (Don't forget ur luggage in Point of Entry) devil.gif Passed though custom and give our custom form, since we don't have something to declare,it's easy.
Proceed to check in counter ..NWA staff put our bags in there...running floor ahahah i dont know what's the name of it.. biggrin.gif

20. Passed trough xray counter againnnnnnnnn... (removed laptop, shoes)
21. PRoceed to our boarding gate.. since our plane arrived 1 hour early. We had enough time..
22. ARRived at Raleigh on time smile.gif no more immigration stuff smile.gif
23. Collected our bag, Ryan's parents picked us..
24. THEy hug me and said.. Welcome to USA
25.. DRive to CAry... just near ... maybe 10 minutes fr the airport

Going Cary is very pretty place,, it has lots of trees in both sides of the highway..

ARrived and ate dinner.. while talking and gave my present for my future in law.. smile.gif

After dinner, drive to show me around.. wahhhhhhhhh even tired it's ok

I think we had the same Consul who interviewed us smile.gif You don't have to worry. I only waited for 2 weeks till Delbros delivered my visa. Once your document verification is done they will forward it to the USEM and the Consul will review it again. When everything goes well, your visa will be printed and in a day or two you will be receiving your visa if you're just living in Metro Manila. Goodluck!

Hi Walt,

I was able to get my certificate and sticker at Quezon City on the 14th of May without any reservations at all. It's easy. I went there at around 8:30 am to register and get all done at 12:00 pm. I downloaded the application form though so I don't have to waste time filling out there. The people were very helpful and I had great time with the discussion. Make sure she will photocopy her passport and visa (2 copies each) I brought 2x2 pictures in case they need it but they have a camera there to capture pictures for applicants. The CFO COW and the office where she will get her sticker are in the same building. By the way, they need to know your middle name so make sure she knows it smile.gif Most applicants have to call their fiances about that cuz they weren't aware of it smile.gif

You are my only hope oh Lord. give me a sign that im gonna have it. amen.

i slept around 7am then i woke up 9am, coz i want to call up delbros and confirm if my visa packet will be dispatched today. unluckily, it wasnt redrose on the fon. the girl who answered my call wasnt that accommodating. so i cry out loud to God again and told Him,God i will not dial the visa delivery dept again after i say this prayer to you. ill just go on answering private msgs and replying to posts.. after an hour, 10am, BELIEVE IT OR NOT...whoooaaa i got another text confirmation from delbros (this is my second text confirmation).. and i knew right there and then that THAT'S THE SIGN!!!

12:30PM MAY 7 VISA-ON-HAND or it's just proper to say REWARD-ON-HAND THANK YOU OH LORD!!!

ISN'T THAT A MIRACLE???!!! ISN'T THAT ENOUGH PROOF THAT PRAYERS ARE POWERFUL???!!!

I'm finally home here in Garner after 5 years of being away with my fiance. The weather here is good and I feel like I'm in Baguio City because there are lots of pine tress everywhere smile.gif I had a good time in the plane going to Detroit and on my connecting flight to Raleigh. I met two Filipinos that's really helpful while I was in plane. We went shopping for awhile in Japan. Geez.. I love the chocolates there. I never had a hard time with my trip except that it's too cold in the plane. I slept for long hours on my trip to Detroit and I didn't get bored at all. I brought two full packed luggage and one big shoulder bag and I didn't have any problem with the weights of it. I expect it will be overwieght but ready to pay for the excess though. I need to bring all the new clothes ans shoes that I bought because my sister in Missouri told me to bring more of it. I bought some sweets and some snack and had two packs of pansit canton too smile.gif (my sister love it) People both in the Immigration in the Philippines and US were really nice. He even joked me that I should invite him on my wedding this month. I said "Yes you're invited Sir! smile.gif They never asked for my xray but I had in handcarried in case they asked it. I didn't placed it in a tube.I saw one family that handcarried it the way I did.

My fiance was so happy to see me and said "Welcome to America"!! smile.gif He hugged me tight and couldn't believed I made it alone here. He got worried alot and told me he couldn't sleep the night I left in Manila. Funny thing was he forgot where to park his car laughing.gif I guess because he was so excited to bring me home.

I just came here on the 2nd of June and I took NWA as well. I didn't had any problem with my POE in Detroit. The airport is real big but there are lots of walkalators everywhere smile.gif There's a line there that's kinda fast for people who have connecting flights. Well, for me I have two hours lay over to Raleigh NC but the plane landed a little early and I made it for about and hour and a half for the interview and at the customs till I finally get in the Gate to Raleigh. They were very helpful there and the people at the airport will guide you. They asked me few questions that's were in the sealed envelope from the USE. I handcarried my Xray and put it in the plastic bag I got from St. Lukes. It's okay to hand carry it that way than putting it inside a tube though. But then the Immigration Officer didn't ask me for it. He asked me what's the name of my petitioner, about my sister too that's in Missouri and how she get here, where I'm staying here in the US. He read and checked everything that's in the sealed envelope and asked me the Custom's Declaration and I-194 (Departure Record). You can ask that to the flight attendants and filled it out before the plane lands at Detroit smile.gif He looked on my fiance's picture and he asked "Is that your fiance"? I said "Yes Sir" smile.gif He made it clear to me that I should get married for 90 days or I'll go back to the Philippines smile.gif And that's it. They won't ask too much because there are many people waiting for interview too.

It's one of the primary requirements at the USEM during the interview but I don't think they will ask it again when her husband already sent a copy with their application at USCIS before she was approved. Her files are all there and they will review it during the interview. In case her husband didn't sent it yet during the application, she can still have her interview and they will ask her to submit it soon but she'll be under "Admin. Review" though.

I spoke with the operator at the Philippine Consulate and she said that it will take 3 months for them to process because they are getting heavy loads on all the applications. That's a long time but I can't do anything but wait. I wanted to renew my passport soon and wanted to use my married name.

NO, no0pb.gif Only if the petition makes it to the consulate and they interview, and then deny a visa are you considered to be refused a visa. In your case, USCIS denied the petition long before it made it to the consulate to be refused.

That question mostly has to do with a person having a tourist, business, or student visa application refused at the consulate.

Hi,

I'm filling out a DS-156 Form and there's a #31 question that asks "Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa?"

My fiance tried applying the first time for K-1 Visa at USCIS even we didn't met yet in person and cuz he have a problem travelling for long hours on a plane. I don't know for sure, but that looks like a typo to me. I think that may be the latest your file will reach the embassy.

Btw, when did you receive your NOA2? How many days after that did NVC email you?

Try to send email at NVC (NVCInquiry@state.gov.) They will answer you back after 10 days. Sometimes it's clearer for me to keep in touch with them through emails rather than by calling them. At least we're sure that they already assigned us a case number while waiting to forward it at USEM.

One suggestion for those prepping for their interview: Know your fiance(e)'s first and last name. There was a couple before us. She was asked to fill out a paper with her "fiance's first and last name" and she didn't know. The lady said (exact quote) "How can you pretend to know him and want to go to the US if you don't know his last name" everybody was laughing at that one. laughing.gif

That happened with my K1 application before too. We waited for 8 weeks till they forwarded it to the NVC. Keep calling USCIS so they will forward your case to the NVC. Who knows they will expedite it like what they did to our case smile.gif Goodluck!

When I received the package from Delbros it was sealed with plastic and my passport was separated from the Sealed Yellow Envelope inside. This means that you can take your passport and don't touch the Sealed Yellow Envelope. You can reseal it with the plastic on your trip here so you can protect it. At my POE, I took it out of the plastic so the Immigration Officer won't have a hard time opening it. I hope this helps and calm you down as well smile.gif Goodluck!

Does the NVC send Notices to the Petitioner with the NOA2 they received from the INS? How do we know they already received it? Or will they just forwarded the papers to the US Embasssy to the country where the Beneficiary lives after they give us the case number without informing us from the NVC? I wanted to make sure the INS forwarded our papers and that the NVC received it too.

How long will it take till I get the packet?
