Yes it is the case number..

another way to get the barcode is to use the Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center .. and email the coversheet to yourself, you can then select it and save it as image using adobe reader..

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC Lies ?!?!! Paying Affidavit Of Support Fee Online
When the NVC automated system said that AOS fee bill was generated, my wife called the operator to get the invoice number to use it online. and the lady said that the online system is not working at the moment and that it's down because of some bugs.

She almost hung up without the number, but my wife insisted to get it just in case so that we don't have to call again.

Cut the BS. The online system is working perfectly. We used it, status changed to PAID in the next morning.

Just wanted to let you know, so in case you're calling NVC ignore any ####### about systems malfunctioning or not working.. the page will not exist on state.gov if it wasn't functioning.

Hi There,

Getting ready to get married (Feb 16th) and getting paperwork finalized.

I am the US citizen and it is my understanding that I need to send a photocopy of my birth certificate - and not a certified copy.

Can anyone confirm for me?

Thanks!!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresFilling up the g-325a
[/quote]

Good point. For an I-130, you check "other" and write "CR1 visa". For an I-129F for spouse you check "other" and write "K3 visa" or in both cases, simply write the petition number.
[/quote]

Thank you for the extremely thorough information! If you hadn't specified this, we would have incorrectly submitted our forms with "I-129F." We are filing for the K-3 visa (which I'm hoping still exists...!!!)

I have one final question, on the G-325a there is a bold box that asks for the applicant's name and Permanent Resident number. Should each person but their own name? My wife is a citizen, and therefore does not have a permanent resident number, and I am applying for residence. Should we just but N/A under the resident number?

Thanks again!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresFilling up the g-325a
So, we're filing our I-130 very soon, we got everything ready, but there's something that is confusing us at this point, its regarding the g-325a form.

At the end of the form it is required that the "Applicant" should sign and date it.. and it has to be the original.. So one form for me, and one form for my wife (The applicant of the I-130) does that mean, she should sign both? or should I sign my copy ?

One other question, the wedding certificate that we're sending a photo of, should it be signed and noterized by the US embassy of my country?

We've been reading a lot everywhere and we're still new to this, so I apologize if this info was stated clearly somewhere.. thanks in advanced

Alright, looks like some extra rules are now in effect.

Its so retarded to do things in jordanian courts, there are no places to check the rules, and the judge doesn't even know the rules and the trainee had to explain to him the new rules.. it was funny and retarded at the same time.. and depressing..
Here's what we did so far... 2 days have passed

1. Blood tests. ( $10 each )
2. Certify it at a public medical center.
3. US Embassy. ( they wasted the whole day, she wrote her afidavit that she's single and I translated it, and we waited for the counsel and she signed it infront of her and then it got stamped and we payed $30 )

Note at the embassy, go last, so that you'll be surved first, we went first and we got surved last, they stack the papers the other way around I'm sure.. stupid idiots =)

4. Translate her passport.

5. Religion Court: Fill in the marriage form / get signed by a stupid judge (read above)

6. The court will give you a request for the minister of interior for marriage approval.

7. Ministry of Interior - Department of imigrants and foriegners. We went to so many windows and got so few papers and we got it signed from the department president, he asked me personal questions about her and asked me what i do and asked me to prove that we're legit. We got a paper back to the court.

8. Now we realize that the paper we got from the embassy needs to be certified from the ministry of exterior and the "judge of Judges" or supreme court.

9... pending... hopefully we'll finish it tomorrow..

Hello everyone,

Its getting close and we're going to the court on sunday to get officially married ( Katb ktab ). I'm wondering what kind of papers are required for this, i could go to the court and ask, but I thought if someone did this recently they could help me speed things up.

Middle East and North Africaverbs in arabic
QUOTE (palilover @ Sep 15 2008, 10:39 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
But now what the problem is that they dont have that word amel to work in Palestinian arabic as my husband says different words and doe snot know the word amel! He does not even use anything that starts with ta, ya, etc. Everytime I ask him about verbs in arabic he puts different things at the end but not the beginning

if he puts it in the end, then he's speaking in the past tens..

words for 'amal in palistine are: bishta3'il ( man ) btishta3'il ( woman )

past would be:

ishta3'al = he worked
ishta3'lat = she worked =)

3' letter is GHAIN.

no matter how far it goes, it's still with the basic principles
Daher.DianeNot TellingJordan2008-09-15 11:33:00
Middle East and North Africaverbs in arabic
I would just like to comment on the differences of letters for example, bahibbik and bahibbich

basically the letter isn't different, and both people will write it down as ba7ibbik ( notice that 7 is Haa' not a normal 'H' )

same for 'th' in jordan it would be 'thal' in egypt / seria 'zal' ... dhad / zhad ... etc

As for tenses, that website seem to confuse alot of things together.. I'll try to brief without confusion ( hopefully )

First I need to explain something.. each letter in arabic is available in 4 forms:

[quiet]: L
[open]: La
[broken]: Li
[lifted]: Lu

notice that the amount of time you spent pronouncing this letter is the same.. so La Lu Li are 3 forms of the letter L.. have your spous pronounce them for you to understand it more.

more on other letters like:

Ba Bu Bi / Da Du Di / Ha Hu Hi ... etc..

Now I'll explain something about verbs and I'll bold out the accent of the letter not to confuse it with a real letter.. for example

La <-- this is a short La
Laa <-- this is two letters... La and Aa

Hope this is clear =) .. anyway, keep reading, the ones without an accent are a quiet version:

[Root]
Aamal <-- work

[Present]

* one person:

* ya'mal <-- he's working [ Ya + ' + Ma + L ]
* ta'mal <-- she's working [ Ta + ' + Ma + L ]

* two people:
* ya'malan <-- both of them are working [two men] ( notice Long A at the end ) [ Ya + ' + Ma + La + A + N ]
* ta'malan <-- both of them are working [two women] ( notice Long A at the end ) [ Ta + ' + Ma + La + A + N ]

* many people:
ya'maluon <-- all of them are working [many men] ( long O at the end ) [ Ya + ' + Ma + Lu + O + N ]
ya'malna <-- all of them are working [many women] ( short A ) [ Ya + ' + Ma + L + Na ]

[Past]
'amila <-- he worked ( short a at the end ) [ 'a + Mi + La ]
'amilat <-- she worked ( short a at the end ) [ 'a + Mi + La + T ]

'amilaa <-- they both worked [two men] ( notice La + Aa at the end, pronounced as a very long Aaa ) [ 'a + Mi + La + A ]
'amilataa <-- they both worked [two women] ( notice La + Ta + Aa at the end, pronounced LaTaaa ) ['a + Mi + La + Ta + A ]

'amiloo <-- they all worked [men] [ 'a + Mi + Lu + O ]
'amilna <-- they all worked [women] [ 'a + Mi + L + Na ]

Hope that makes sense, remember I'm trying to hack the roman alphabets.. remember that the best way to learn any language is by learning the alphabets first.

I'm open for any questions =)

We got our interview letter in the mail even though the NVC staff said we didn't get one.. so, whatever..

I wanna ask if there's anyone else who's done a CR1 or going to soon to help prepare for the interview, I heard about a forth package.. is it the mail that we recieved? or what, we all know how "awesome" the mail system is in jordan so how do I go about finding what do I need to do?

I filed all the originals to the NVC including the general intelligence paper, do I need something else from the police ? or is that it?

oil prevents the rice from sticking to the bottom while cooking. You don't need it since you already have some oil on the stuff that you fried.

ZaidsMommy seem to get it right =)

My recipe will be the same except that you cover the rice in hot water for 10 min, then wash before you can start. this will remove the extra carbohydrates and will get the rice good.

I also, fry the chicken in a saucepan with 1 tspn of butter for 2 min to give it a golden look.. Do this after you boil it, its not gonna get hard this way..

Also, 1tspn of sault goes with every two cups of rice.

Middle East and North AfricaAmman CR1 Interview
Interview: 21 OCT 2008

I arrived at the embassy at 7:50 AM. My number was 13 ( IV section ) .. I sat in there, then people started to go one after the other to a window to give the photos, the passport and the medical report.. Then we were sent to wait in the American Citizen Services room and people starting to take the interview one after the other, about 20 min per person.. some longer, some shorter...

I waited 4 Hours till I got my interview. My number was 13 like I said, so you either go in very early, or just go in last.. they don't let you in after 12 noon so you gotta be there early if you wanna get out early.

My interview was the fastest, some people took like 40 min of questioning. Here's how it went:

Got in, sat on the chair, the guy said "saba7 elkhair" ( means good morning ) in arabic i said saba7 elnoor.. then he asked me to raise my right hand and swear that the documents are correct ( he asked me that in arabic ), i said it, then I said, I can do this in english, and he was happy about it.. then he gave me the part 2 of the visa application to sign, and I did, he took my finger prints.. then I sat.. he was shuffling papers around and typing to the computer. He asked me how do I know my wife and I started telling him.. I don't think he even listened because he was busy giving me the originals and printing on the screen, then he took a paper, stamped it and gave it to me and said congratulations, your visa has been approved.

I was out of the interview room in like 5 min. People outside were surprised that i came out that fast.

He gave me a number that i took to the aramex office on my way out to pay for passport delivery. Paid 5 JOD.

Visa 23rd OCT 2008:

Two days later ( Today ), Aramex called me and asked me to go pick up the passport even though I asked them to deliver at my house, he started bullshitting me that my street address doesn't show on their system, and I'm like seriously in the same block as they are.. So i got up, dressed myself really quick and just left out and I got my passport with the CR1 visa.

I also booked my ticket on the 29th.

Also for iraqi people applying in amman, there were 4 iraqi people who got approved as well.

Good luck to the others and I hope this is helpful.

btw, the coffe is 1 JD and it sucked .. just in case you were sleepy like I was =)

Vaccine history incomplete.
Applicant may be eligible for blanket waiver(s) because vaccination(s) not medically appropriate.

Notice that I'm going for a CR1 visa and there would be no AOS..
