CaribbeanMedical Exam - Jamaica

Thanks everyone. I found the list on the CDC website for required vaccines for immigration purposes by age. They provide the physician guidelines and specifies the requirements for those acquiring the vaccines abroad for entry into the US. I'll have to post it for future reference. Thanks all.

Nikki,

Please post any information regarding the vaccines. I have been searching high and low for the info. Thanks a mil. RNM

CaribbeanHow Long Did It Take

I filed the I-130 and the I-129F for my husband in Jamaica in September. I live in California and I wanted to know how long it will take for any one of these to process. From the topics I've read it seems as if it may take 106 days from the first NOA letter.
Please help I'm missing my husband.

Sorry to tell u this but the average time for NOA2 is 4-5month. Only a lucky few have gotten it in less than a month. This process is about patience which hard when your apart from your loved one. Have faith.

@Terri...I129f are used for K3 as well

Caribbeanstill waiting for NOA2...

waah gwaan my fellow yardies!!!!! lol ne who, just a update... its been 3 mon on the 14th since i mailed out my i-130 packet.. still havent heard anything as of yet.*sigh* but i know it soon come :) imma guess end of May? I know it say end of June, but maybe, just maybe!!! ill get it end of May :)))) what do you guys think?? just starting conversation here btw! lol

Butterfli,

This is cute. It seems that I always get stuck at the "slowdown" center. My husband and I are patient. Although I want him here tommorrow, I have enjoyed going back and forth to Jamaica. I live in Miami so I can get there easily. Five months or more seems like a long time but in the bigger picture just adds to the excitement. Hopefully, things pick up but your are blessed to have love so enjoy. Keep starting conversations about other things so we all can get to vent during this long process. We all in it togehter... (F)

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaFiled for a foreign Spouse Again
Adrian,

Each case is different. I would co-sign the previous recommendation. You really need to front-load your application to remove all doubt. Each country is also different. You will be surprised what works in one country that does not pass in another. Each CO is different as well. Complete your application, include proper proof of the bonafide relationship and above all keep your faith!!!! What God has placed together no one can destroy.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK-3 and I-130

oh... so the website isnt right? becuz it says while its pending (I-130) you can file for the K-3... if thats not right, then what can he come over on while its pending?

In the past the I130 took a longer time to recieve and the spouse could apply for K3 while waiting. Recently, the average time for the IR1/CR1 spousal visa is about 5-6 months for approval. You can file a K-3 but it may be approved at the same time as the I130 and then it would be adminstratively closed. That's why the previous post said that the K-3 is dead. Many petitioners are not using this form any more. Read all the online guides for help. Good Luck with your decision and journey. (F)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsK1 petition being sent back to USICS for further review
Raine,

Many times when the petition is sent back to the USCIS it is allowed to expire. Some petitioners have sent emails to the embassy before the file is transferred to have their case reviewed by a supervisor and a small number have been granted a second interview. What was the joke about the money sent to your fiancee? (Seems very bias and unfair) I would right down all the questions that was asked at your fiancees interview while its still fresh. Try to figure out some of the red flags if any. You can marry and file the IR1/CR1 and build a stronger case. DOS will give you the reason that the file was sent back once it is logged in the system. You have several options but do not give up. I know the initial shock is a big blow. Praise God you both are still able to wake up and see another day.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresSeems that CSC getting all...
I have been noticing lately that the California Service Center has been getting all the IR1/CR1 petitions regardless of the location of the petitioner. That's great...just when Vermont is gaining some speed! Well I still pray this benefit all the couples involved and for those that are still waiting for approvals.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresquestion about noa2

hello there my wife sent my i130 on 29 of august
and we recieved the noa1 on september 6 and for now i didnt recieve anything...is that normal?
and how long it takes for my noa2 plzz helpp thx...

Generally your application will take five months to process. If you were to hear something so soon it would be a RFE (request for evidence) which in many cases you don't want that. Like the old saying goes...no news is good news. Read the forums and guidelines to help get knowledge on the process...Many blessings on your journey.

And closed mouths don't get feed!!!!

Hi There
So when they (USCIS) changed the timeline from March 15, 2011 we phoned that day to put in a service request, as well as contacting congresswoman. The congresswoman's office got nothing more than what is online. (that was useless). The email generated from the service request stated they will basically get to ours when then can although ours is most definitely outside of their processing time (their words not ours). They told us to call back on the Nov 29, tomorrow so we will see. Our petition is at 218 days. I did find out that ours is taking longer due to the RFE and the fact we both aren't new to marriage. So extra checking on names etc.
I say most definitely call and put in a service request.
that's my opinion.

My Mom always told us that "the squeaky wheel gets the oil"...

Calling does not hurt. Try to speak to a tier2 Rep as mentioned. This time of the year is pretty tricky. It seems that CSC has slowed from the earlier half of the year. Hope this stage of the journey ends soon for you both.
