US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionNotification of Readiness - Interview timeline

Hello guys,

I received my packet 3 and I have all the necessary documents except the I-94 that my fiancée is supposed to send me today. I have read a bunch of timeline experiences in this forum and I noticed that most people would get an interview appointment 4 or 6 weeks after sending the Notification of applicant's readiness (ds-2001).

so my question is should i send the ds-2001 now even if I will receive my I-94  and supporting documents in 1-2 weeks? I feel that it would save some time.

I hope i was clear

Thank you !!!!!!!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAffidavit of Support/Students(no income)

Hello everybody, I have always found good advice here so I just signed up and created my first topic ! :)

My American fiancé just received the NOA2 of our petition (that we sent in early July 13').

We met at our university in Virginia and decided to get married earlier this year. We are really happy thateverything is going smoothly so far but we are concerned about the Affidavit of Support.

I graduated in May but haven't found a fixed job so far (I am basically waiting for the Visa to go through) and she will be done with school in May 14'.

We basically have no income, just a little bit of savings but really not much (<$10k), although we have advanced degrees (I have a Masters and she is about to be a Doctor)

SO my question is: is it enough if our only co-sponsor is her Mom? She makes pretty good money but she will be our only support here.

if anyone has been through this experience, it would be awesome to share it

Thanks to everyone again here, you guys are always really helpful.
