Russia, Ukraine and BelarusSeeking couples for friendship

I apologize for not being clear. My fiancée is still in Ukraine and she will be having her interview very soon. Assuming all goes well, she will be arriving in America this summer or early fall and we will marry. But I thought now would be good time to try and reach out to some people before she arrives.

We are not into kinky or weird behavior and no wife swapping.

Thanks.

That's just mawilson's twisted sense of humour ;)

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)Where are Turkish Grocery Stores and Resturants in Southern CA?

My Turkish Wife and I are looking for Turkish grocery stores and Resturants in Southern CA. Can anyone help?

She is looking for:
1. olives she likes

2. and white cheese not Feda but looks a little like feda but tastes milky but not yogurt or Kiefer.

3. Also, Cherry juice, in Istanbul there was one company for example called Cappi that she liked. I wasn't able to finf it on a google search.

4. Also a Turkish community in Los Angeles and surrounding area.

I'm trying to make her transition easy. If you could help with addresses and phones of Turkish grocery stores and Resturants in Southern CA, I'd sure appreciate it.

US Citizenship General DiscussionTime Outside the US
Question for those who have filed their N-400:

Part 7: Time outside the United States, Question A, asks how many total days you spent outside the U.S. during the past 5 years. Since Lai arrived in September of 2004, one of those 5 years was spent in Hong Kong. Should I:

A: Assume the people at USCIS are capapble of figuring out that the five years on the form doesn't apply to Lai, considering she only needs to have been here three years for citizenship due to marriage.

B: Assume the people at USCIS are idiots cool.gif and include the year spent in Hong Kong.

CanadaGreat Christmas Gifts You've Gotten?
QUOTE (Kathryn41 @ Dec 23 2009, 07:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
The 'best' Christmas gift I ever got was from my parents in my late teens. We have always had cats and generally got a new kitten when one of our old ones passed away. We adopted one lovely white kitten who used to climb up my side to sit on my shoulder and that was his favourite place. He was very special to me. Unfortunately, it turned out he had feline leukaemia - he probably got it from his mother. At that time there was no test until symptoms presented themselves and no vaccine. It was so sad to watch him die slowly and I cried the day we had to put him to sleep when he began to suffer. Because leukaemia is a virus in cats it meant that we could get no new cats for the family until all of our existing cats had died because any one of them could pass on the virus to a newcomer. That Christmas Mom and Dad had arranged with a woman who made stuffed animals to make me a stuffed fluffy white toy cat that looked just like my beloved Kipling. It was one of the sweetest gifts I have ever received, and I have him still.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFinal stage begun...

 Seeing as you go through CSC, no good luck wishes needed, but I wish you smooth sailing. You'll probably have your approval weeks before I can start hoping for one.

All the best!

 Tanja (jealous that she can't file through CSC lol)

Well, when we were waiting for the K-1, CSC was one of the slowest, if not the slowest, "service" centers.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionPriority Mail to TSC
And if they drag their heels cashing your check and sending the NOA1, like CSC is doing, you would still have evidence that they got the package.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionSubmitted I-751 (CSC)

CSC received our package on May 1. As of May 15, they still haven't cashed our check. That's concerning me a little, as I see some of you here got your check cashed within just a few days.

We're in the same boat...CSC received our package on May 7, but they have yet to cash our check

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDoes my fiance take my passport to interview?
You definitely should not send your passport anywhere, especially not to another country  On the other hand, if you are with your fiance at his interview, you could give it to him to show the officer who is conducting the interview, as further evidence of your relationship. But, again, it should not be handed over to the officer, just shown to him.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs it neccessary to seek legal help with the I-129?
I used a lawyer, but if I'd found VJ before that, I would have done it myself and saved the money. Having a lawyer gave a sense of peace of mind, but didn't really affect the processing speed, and we did get an RFE anyway.

Please help. During K1 medical of course they will require drug test... I'm sure most people have used drugs at some point of their life. How long will the drug stay in your body? Or does it depend what kind of drug it was used? What if it's just mariajuana or weed? What if you took it 4 months ago or 6 months ago will it show on the medical results at the embassy?

huh.gif

Let me rephrase that. What I meant to say is I'm sure some of you have tried drugs just because you want to experience it or because you were of peer pressure when you were teens....

huh.gif There's a big difference between "some" and "most"...so, which is it?
