United Kingdom	Heinz Baked Beans	This is a great thread! I never liked baked beans ( and I am from the Boston area lol ! ) I had a strong liking while in England for the baked beans they have, in a nice tomato base( I say tomato, you say tomahto lol ), usually our beans are in a supposed tomato base but i think more of a maple taste ... yuck but the Bush's Vegetarian are the closest if you can find them locally, but luckily my local supermarket has an "International" area that sells Heinz Baked beans...and Bachelor Baked Beans ... which I like better Where I live there is a store British Imports that I'm sure we will be doing lots of shopping at ! There are alot of US based stores you can buy the Heinz baked beans from if you can not find them locally http://www.shop.brit...ine.com/main.sc http://www.britishsupplies.com/ is it not sad I have a Bookmark file titled "English Food Suppliers" <-- should I print that in my K-1 application? lol Lamb is another one, it's expensive here , but standard in loves home? On April 10, 2008, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register. I called after the 60 days and though the lady I spoke with was ever so nice, she said to follow the timelines on the UNIS website, meaning they are currently processing from the VCS applications as of DEC 2007, and I should expect to hear a response in August. I forgot who was the petitioner and who was the beneficiary between you and Keith, neiwez, the petitioner needs to call NVC to ask if they receive your case, ask for the new case number and also ask when it will be sent to embassy. Call them at (603) 334-0700, 1, then 5. They will ask for info on the petitioner and benefiary, such as the beneficiary's name and date of birth, and your case number (VSC case number). You cannot use the automated system to check K-1 Visas as they do not load these into their automated system. You must speak with a customer service representative. They said the best time to call is 7:31 AM Eastern Standard Time. Thanks I will be calling in about 10 minutes lol Wish me luck! It was hard to have to leave as i'm sure you all know that feeling. I was hoping to receive some notice prior to, or while I was away but no such luck Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed. ( April 10th ) June 10th will be 60 days ... what should I do, just wait on them or is it possible to call and inquire about it? PS who else is a Jan 08 filer at VSC and still waiting? My Fiance ( Keith ) and myself ( Lynda ) are in the process of the K-1 visa, we mailed I-129F Petition off January 30, 2008, and got first notice of receipt on February 14 2008, how nice Valentines day ! It really is nice to read stories and timelines for those who have gone through it, are going through, all at different stages. I had one quick question though, we have been getting the required paperwork together first notice he will get from the Embassy in London , as to what documents he needs to gather ,what will I have to supply for him to take with him AOS form I-864 or I-134? Generally you go through Immigration first and they are the ones who ask you these type of questions - customs check your bags for drugs and other illegal and prohibited substances etc. You need to tell customs the truth and hope they let you therough if your K1 is in process etc. Check out the rules on traveling while your K1 (and then your AOS) is in process. Good Luck I had not thought of this, as I will be setting off ( again ) in May to visit my fiance, is there or, where can I find restrictions on the travel while a K-1 is pending?
