Russia, Ukraine and Belarus	Moscow, Interview Date Notification	We didnt get an email from the embassy as of yet, thats what I am wondering. Our Status says "ready" followed by the following:   Immigrant Visa Case Number: MOSXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Case Creation Date: 06-Sep-2013 Status Updated Date: 12-Sep-2013       Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:http://travel.state..../info_3731.html   I am wondering to how long before they send the "appointment letter" or Email. Russia, Ukraine and Belarus	Embassy Interview and the Thread of Government Shutdown	Consular operations will continue if the government shuts down, which means that people would be able to get visas and passports. However, there is an exception is for passport offices that are located in buildings that are otherwise shutdown, so some people may see delays in their applications. Travel plans for State Department personnel will mostly be put on hold, as will all new employment offers. The State Department has not released exact numbers of furloughs, but in previous shutdowns, furloughs were felt more heavily at the department's headquarters in Washington than at posts overseas. The State Department contingency plan did not list the total or furloughed number of employees at the department. Mine took almost exactly a month from NOA 2 until it arrived at the consulate.  NOA2 august 8th and today it shows to be at the Consulate. now Im just wait for the interview date. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	USCIS to NVC time frame	Ours took almost exactly one month, the wait time to call is generally 23 min. as I know from experience. make sure you get the receipt number as well as the embassy case number, as you will need both items later.  Edited by Kpcrocker, 30 September 2013 - 11:58 PM. Philippines	H1B visa adjustment of status	Reposting from another thread here.   If my fiance comes to America with a H1B visa with his job and we get married while he is here can we apply for an adjustment of status before his h1b visa runs out? Would this make it possible for him to then stay in the United States without having to travel back to his home country for any period of time?
