Thanks!!! No not at all!! I was asked to only give my passport and resident card, thats it no school papers or bills!!
The interview was a absolute breeze less than 10 mins I would say and the IO was really nice,hope you have him :thumbs:the name change was super easy all I had to do after I took the oath was to go downstairs to the Social Security office fill out a form and I was done!

I went for my interview today and I PASSED!!! kicking.gif

Heres my report:

I arrived at the Newark office at about 9:30am, went in for my interview at 11:00 or so and my interview was about 10 mins if not less, the officer was really nice and funny,which calmed my nerves quite a bit, he asked me a few questions here and there proceeded with my name change then he asked me
the folowing questions:

1. In what month do we vote for a president?
2.Whos the speaker of the house?
3.Name on state that borders Canada.
4.When was the Declaration of Independence adopted?
5.What does the Constitution do?

And the last I cant remember!! no0pb.gif

After asking me the 6 questions he asked me to read Who was Abraham Lincoln?

and then to write Abraham Lincoln was a president (or something like that lol)

He then congratulated me and told me I was approved and that my oath would be today @ 2:00pm

The Oath ceremony was great, a couple of videos and a song ( offtopic45vn.gif ...And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free...) Off-Topic2.gif Then we were each called for our certificate!!

THATS ABOUT IT!

Im very happy to see that most of the April applicants are turning red!! Hopefully my interview goes well tomorrow!!

BTW Does anyone know what a college student,never been married or rent/own property can take as proof of residency besides my transcripts,Im getting a little worried that my "paper stack" won't be sufficient..Here's what I have my tax returns for 3 years (Im 20 years old and I've only worked for 3 years!),passport,green card and my college transcripts and high school diploma...Any suggestions as to what to bring?

Also do they need the original SSN card? I only have a copy of mines! headbonk.gif

Hi everyone!! My n400 application was sent on Friday the April 4th through USPS Priority Mail and it was received on Monday the 6th... From what I hear naturalization process is 4 months...GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!

April 4th,2009- N-400 mailed
April 6th,2009- N-400 received

Hello,

I was naturalized in August 2009, when I was interviewed and approved for my naturalization,I wasn't told I needed to
go to the Social Security Office to update my immigration status, is this necessary after being naturalized? Thanks for your info.
