Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	May 2011 Filers	Question concerning the "My Case Status Portfolio" on the USCIS website. The site lists the last update to our ROC CRI89 as 06/02/11, but our biometrics was 07/28/11 and we had to call twice to get the appointment information concerning the bio appointment. It seems most list the last update as sometime in relation to the bio appointment. Is this true? It seems our update is still set at possible the initial touch of the packet. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	May 2011 Filers	Thanks Diazy, I was surprised that Homeland Security called not too long ago to make sure we received the fax. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	May 2011 Filers	My wife called this morning to inquire about the bio appointment date. They transferred her to USCIS and the lady said that our appointment is July 28, today when we called being July 25. The lady stated that they had mailed out our appointment, but could not give us a day mailed and they had our correct address on file. She did fax us a copy of the appointment letter which is dated June 30, 2011. She said that the local ASC will accept the faxed copy, but when the fax came through it reads in bold on the top "This is not an original document. Acceptance of this courtesy copy is at the discretion of the receiving office." That to me reads that the to local ASC can thumb their nose at this if they see fit. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	what will happen if petitioner moved to another country	I assume he is a civilian contractor working in Kuwait to take advantage of the foreign earned income exclusion. If so those contracts usually last a year and can re-up at the end depending on which contract company he is with. If he is a contractor just working overseas he will not change his residency I assume. I handle many such contractors who have been in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Dubai, Qatar, etc... They have married spouses from various countries then returned to the contract work overseas while the spouse goes through the continued process. Go through with the process if that is what is wanted. You have 6 months to enter the US after the visa is issued. By that time he will be enough into his contract he can probably take a few weeks to return to the US to marry you then. If he is going to qualify for the foreign earned income exclusion there are constraints on the amount of days he can be in the US. He will have to be out of the US for 330 days in a 12 month period. My "visa journey" has come to an ignominious end. My ex-fiancee has made it known to me that for a long time she has known she will not marry me. It is rough finding out so late in the game, but it is best to find out now than when she moved here. I envy you guys who this works out for! Good luck on your continued journey... However, we both have the good luck of being able to chat while at work. So during my evenings we were able to chat during her morning time at work, and during her evenings we were able to chat while I worked (minus tax season.... ). I was able to print my chat logs for two years and also show my cell phone statements showing 300+ text messages a month and the calls. I included letters, cards and postage from packages also. I am not sure how the embassy views the meetings/chat/text/phone/mail/letters etc..., but ours flew through with just one meeting. Funny little story for you guys. Like I stated that I chat while at work... During tax season I am usually pretty slammed, but would still chat with Gam early in the mornings. Usually if I have a client with me I would tell her to give me a few...which sometimes turned into hours...LOL. But if I would get what would end up being a super-simple 10 minute return. I would chat with Gam for a bit while the client thought I was working on their return. I feel bad sometimes charging for the simple returns...want them to feel like it took me more than 10 minutes to do the work. When I was going over the chat logs to send with the I-129F I ran across a couple telling Gam my client is staring at me while I chat with you... She took it to the embassy and paid 200baht for certified proof and received it back in two days. For same day service it was 800baht. The visa expires on January 1, 2009, but under the Annotation it says that the K-1 Petition expires on November 2, 2008? She asked the embassy official and he stated the visa expires January 2009, but when she asked what the Annotation mean...she said he ignored her and went on about something else. The embassy called her today, July 8th, and stated that she can pick up her visa on July 9th. It has been two weeks and three days since the time she gave her police certificate. The official told her that doesn't matter, and she said maybe that girl did give all the information about her situation. I really want to tell my fiancee to stop using that website she does...as the information she gets from there always seems bass ackwards. Alvin She gave the embassy the information that was missed on the first interview, her police certificate. The official told her that the embassy would contact her when she can go back. They told her that if she has not heard from them in two weeks she should contact the embassy. She asked the official why this will take so long and they told her the embassy computers are not that good now. That sounds like a BS answer to me...has there been a slow down in the process? Granted I take anything from the other visa website with a grain of salt, but one lady had an interview on June 18, was told could pick the visa up on June 20, but the embassy called and postponed her. She said that about one lady she read the visa was denied because the I-129F was expired even though she passed the interview, but the date they told her she could pick up her visa when she came they told her she could not get it. Littleasianman, The way I read their response is to the very letter of the I-134 and maybe just a semantics misunderstanding. You can't file a joint or co-sponsored single I-134, but will have to file a separate I-134 for each sponsor of the I-129F. You as the US fiancée will be the primary and the second I-134 would be the co-sponsor. At least this is my understanding.
