IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Does all of this waiting make since??	an married american who wants to live in germany has it much easier than me wanting to live in america. here, the american would only have to go to the city hall, fill out a paper, wait a few hours and gets a 3yrs permit in his/her passport that allows him to stay and to work. one day compared to months is really a big difference. i have to admit im starting to think of it as an option. That sounds as a great option I wonder if there is anything like this in Denmark Today it ain't easy to immigrate to my country. But I have heard that people are going to Denmark to just be married because that should be very easy. We are so d.. unlucky in our case because of so many complications we didn't expect would be a problem. Took us 1 year to be approved on I-129F, and then now an extra half year so far because of my conviction. But at least I can save up more money to start our life if we shall look at this in the positive way. If we could just know a little bit we could arrange our wedding. That would be an extreme helpful thing in this waitingtime where I am not allow to give him a visit. Worse is that it's very hard for him to take time off from work to visit me. For us it's a tough case and on top of the waiting time we are so afraid if they deny me. We can't even plan anything It's a terrible feeling that we don't have any clue if we are even able to be together. It's alot worser for him to go to my homeland because other rules, that I can't live up to. We started our application back 22 june 2005 and still wait. Mike and I are living very close to Las Vegas and we went there to be married in a little chapel with only our 2 sons and Mike's sister. We took pictures from this day and thats the only thing we had. We didn't have any honeymoon. The thing the consular is looking at is if you guys are living together as a normal happy couple. It dosn't matter at all how you guys proposed or the way you were getting married. Mike and I wish we could have done this much better. But it was so hasty everything and my famely from Denmark couldn't be here. We couldn't affort anything either back then. Our dreams about big weddings the consular officer knows everything about. And they don't expect you to be able to do this since you only have a short period to do this. I hope I can calm down your worryness a little bit with my experience.
