I submitted my process on May 9th and I have notice a tremendous change in the proceeding time. There are couples whose petitions were submitted around March and have already been interviewed. Has anyone submitted a May petition and is going through the same. Is there anything we should do, I have called several times and I am getting the same answers. Can someone let me know? I feel your stress, I call immigration every week and I have also call my attorney and we are still waiting. Now you mention that you call your congressman. Question how ca I contact the congressman or what number should I call. Could you advice. Good luck with the rest of the process I hope you receive your approval soon. They won't have lost your case. You might be in security checks. We threatened to fire our lawyer and get our money back because he wasn't replying to our phone calls or emails. They then told us that there is a separate email that immigration lawyers can use to get to the bottom of delayed cases at the USCIS. Ask them about it, they should know what it is. At the end of October I mailed about 20 letters to my congressmen, senator and to the United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration. This past Monday I received a letter from my senator stating that they have inquired on my case but it could take 45-60 days to get an answer form Immigration. My congressmen inquired and he sent me a letter with a copy of the email sent by immigration and guess what the answer was. Dear Mr. Congressmen we are now working on the March cases. Funny ha! My case was submitted in May 08, so guys what ever we do seems to serve no purpose. I done everything in my power and after paying a large amount of money to my attorney she been good for noting. No one besides us feels the struggle and frustration we have been living in. I just hope something good happens for all of us here. Is there anything we could do, I call immigration every week and they tell me the same story. I have called my attorney and she tells me we have to wait. I have a friend that submitted in April and was approved in Sept., I have another friend that submitted in October and got approved in 15 days. So I have no idea was going on, it doesn’t matter if your papers are endorse by an attorney they are still taking longer and longer. The only thing left to do is just pray. Anyone has any suggestions. I will advise everyone not to use an attorney because I have a couple of friends that have done the same and have already received their approvals. Good luck guys.
