no.. after the interview the CO tell me that everything is ok but i need the acknowledgement letter.. stay outside and please wait for your name to be called" after my name called at window 37.. they gave me a pink slip for visa fee and the white slip together with my passport telling me that i passed it at window 17-20 together with the acknowledgement letter from my husband?

Oh I see. Did you have the acknowledgment letter with you that day and have passed it to the window where you were told to pass it? I think they were concern of your baby and need the consent/acknowledgment duly signed by your husband that both of you agreed to leave the baby in your mother's care and will petition her in due time.

right now.. wla pa ung acknowledement letter. nasa training pa ung husband ko.. pero sabi kahit hindi notary basta letter from my husband.. thanks RyaNRiza

we went thru the same experience,I think u need to ask acknowledgement letter from your fiance and make sure its notarized..He will fedex it to you and u take it back to Embassy..your visa will arrive within 2 or 3 weeks...ganun din nangyari sa akin kasi nagkamali ako sa question sa akin kung acknowledged ba ng fiance ko ang aking mga anak...kunting mali another documents pero di ka na mahirapan submit mo lang sa Embassy ang kanilang hinihingi.

so kelangan ko ring ipanotarized.. kc i ask first sa releasing officer kung nakanotarized.. she told me kahit wala na kc wla naman daw nakasulat sa white slip.. thanks..

yap,yes.
kailangan ..talaga,talaga. take note notarized d2 sa USA.at pag nag submit ka huwag be sure on time ka kasi 1 hour lang po ang pag submit ng mga documents na hinhingi nila..if appointment mo 2 p.m kailangan dun ka na kasi after 3 di ka na nila papasukin.

KUMUSTA SA MGA KAPWA PINOY KO NA MIYEMBRO SA BISA PAGLALAKBAY (VJ) good.gif

Ibon mang may layang lumipad
Kulungin mo at umiiyak
Bayan pa kayang sakdal dilag
Ang di magnasang makaalpas!
Pilipinas kong minumutya
Pugad ng luha ko't dalita
Aking adhika,
Makita kang sakdal laya.

MARAMING SALAMAT PO!

A young lady in the Philippines was married to a filipino man that verbally and physically tortured her. During the time of their wedding, she used her childhood given name for the marriage certificate. Through rumors, she heard that her name was incorrect. Upon requesting and receiving her Birth Certificate 2 years ago, she discovered that her real name is in fact different than listed on her marriage certificate. Are there legal grounds to assume that her marriage is considered null and void due to this technicality, or should I say this huge error?

I know she needs a lawyer, just wondering if anyone here has had a similar situation and has knowledge of possible outcomes or of the current law in such situations.

She now lives far from him, her main question is if she needs to apply for annulment to pursue possible Fiance Visa or can she proceed with the name on her Birth Certificate?

Also note, according to her cenomar, she is single, but that is according to the name on her Birth Certificate.

I will let the wife look at this one when she comes home. Stay tuned. This one might interest her.

I hope you don't mind, but I am curious when you said "childhood name". Did you mean nick name or pet name? Can you be specific about this? Thanks.

Rocky, the wife

Thanks for all the replies, I did a little research of my own since posting this and according to Philippine law, Article 35, sentence 5. there is possible grounds for "Null and Void from the beginning" due to identity issues. However, it is for the courts to decide. As far as I know, she used her nick name, which at the time she thought to be her real name.

PhilippinesIlocano vs Visayas Where most bar girls come from?
Well guys, I've married both Ilocana and Visayas, I must admit, my current wife is from Visayas and she is most pleasant and loving in every way imaginable. I would not trade in my little lady from Visayas for nothing in this world.

When I was stationed in Olongapo in the late 80's and early 90's, the Ilocano ladies were just as desperate to land a young American man as any other lady from any other part of the country. They all wanted that American dream.

Everyone will have their own opinion, but I've seen it and lived in it.

PhilippinesMarried Filipinos who send money to family back in Philippines

Does the issue of sending money home (or how much you send) cause tension between you and your spouse? If so, how have you tried to resolve it?

What rules do you and your spouse follow regarding remittances (e.g. money only comes from Filipino spouse's pay)?

How do you determine the amount of money you send back to family in Philippines?

How do you distinguish legitimate needs vs. "nice to have"s?

How do you handle emergencies (real and imagined) that come up?

Have you ever cut any family members off financially? If so, why and for how long?

PhilippinesNeed filipina Advice

I brought a girl here who I love very much and love her family on a k-1 Visa. But she seems to always have a negative attitude since she has gotten here. Everything is about her. All I here is me me me I I I. She seems to think the world revolves around her and that everyone else is her to serve her. My family has been very nice and loving and accepting to her, But in return she is very rude and ungrateful to everything. I have helped her family so much and done so much for her and now I am full of sadness and regret. Her family is so nice and very grateful, they advise her all the time to not be jealous and to be nice and try to listen to me and do what I advise her since she is much younger.
There are many good times but then more and more these times that just pop up with her having a bad attitude and is rude to my family. She says things like no one likes her she misses her family that my family is not her family that I don't love her and care about her. I just don't understand how she could ever say this or think it after all I have done for her and her family and my family has done for her. She just wants to get up eat, play on Facebook games talk to her friends take long naps eat again and sleep. Between going to Disney and all the other fun things we have done for her. She has bad attitude about cleaning or doing anything to help out. She does not want to better her English or study in college. Which was all agreed to before moving to the USA.

I just don't know what to do. I feel so heart broken. I don't know how I managed to fall in love with the only Filipina who refuses to do anything by herself and does not want to do anything to better her life or to even help be in a partnership in marriage. I just wish she could take her family's advice and things would be so much better. I had to take off time from work to go to manila to bring her home because she could not even do her medical and interview or anything on her own. Everyone has had to do everything for her. When I was in the Philippines I felt she loved me and I was so happy and did not mind doing so many extra things for her and her family. But now it has taken a toll and when she is rude to my family I just feel hurt and regret.

I am desperate for any advice if there is anything that can be done to fix this, at times she acts very happy and loving and just says everything is a big misunderstanding and I do not understand her. But she either does not understand how much she hurts be or does not care when she acts this way. At this point I am very close to giving up and sending her back to the Philippines.

I wish you can still hold on to Her...maybe she has problem regarding her PMS watch and observe her closely...it was my husband problems too until now.If I have PMS everything around me is not good including the face of my husband but after that period its back to normal and He told me that He can't find another woman like me except for that cute period that me and I hated. you just need to get use to it.

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to say that CSC is not sending out any information as far as touches or even approvals of applications for the K-1 visa. Why is this? I received my NOA1 on May 24, 2007 and the last time it was touched was May 30,2007 when someone put it in a stack or on a shelf somewhere. I've been tracking a majority of the V.J members that have the similar timeline as myself and their not getting touches or approvals either.

Touches are not really that important. We didn't have any touch after our NOA1 was issued and then (3 months later) we got our approval.

Hang in there! You'll get your approval any time soon! smile.gif

Good luck!

Thanks for the support Eric and Teresa and congrats on your approval...... I know its just being impatient on my part. May God continue to bless you and your journey. Stay in touch friends,,,

Delbert and Mercy

If I may add, I did a little scan of recent approvals, most are approved after the 120 day mark, so if you are in over 120 days, your approval is very near. Also, don't pay any attention to my touches, most or all are due to calls. Good luck!! biggrin.gif

Well were comming to the end of the wait hopefully, we are alot further in the process than we were 4 months ago. I hope that either this week or next will be the week of good news. No matter what though we will be with our loved ones. Whether the US goverment sees it fit or whether i move to a third world country, i will be with the one i love.

I am right on the edge of making that decision to move. Living in the Philippines with my wife was actually my 1st choice, but we convinced each other to try the fiance Visa route. Now time has passed, precious time I will never get back, lost memories that I will never have. How much longer will I wait? I am not getting younger and I can't turn the clock back!!

I filed my I-129F and received my NOA-1 in May 07 (see my timeline). The processing dates on the USCIS website have changed so many times in the last 90 days, I decided to call USCIS today and get an update. (I wasn't sure if my petition was outside the USCIS processing times becuse of the constant changes to the timeframe) The rep told me that they are working on I-129F petitions with the date of 02/16/2007. He told me that it will most likely be 3 more months before I hear anything! sad.gif I've already waited 111 days and have not heard anything and there have been no touches to my petition according to the website.

Looks like the 90 - 120 day approval times are a thing of the past. Looks like the 6 month wait is correct. crying.gif

By looking at timeline database and my own experience, you can expect that your petition will be approved between 115-135 days from time you mail it. Good luck!

If we had appointments or dates to go by, at least we can look forward to it. But this open ended deal is awful.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsApril and May Filers - NOA2 to NVC
Anyone call NVC lately? I want to get my dusty file out of that dark dungeon called "CSC". I am sure that many of our files are black with mold and covered in dust. Can someone please get this ball rolling, I hate to be stuck, it's a terrible feeling having to wait and depend on total strangers to do such an important task. It's just a job to them, it's our life, it's our heatbeat, it's our hopes, it's our dreams and our future!!!

I found on the Embassy website that our Medical Exam and Interview appointment has been set for Nov 28th and Dec 5th. Now it comes so quickly. It's nice to actually have a schedule to look forward to instead of the open ended waiting we were subjected to.

Congrats on the progress everyone is making, it has sure enough been a long Journey and a tough road to walk. I am sure we will all have our own stories and difficulties that we struggled with, but it is almost over. Soon we can relax and enjoy our lives together with the one we love so much!

Good Luck!

It´s weird wacko.gif it´s like no approvals are coming through...or almost none...not sure what to think about that...I would imagine if they have one employee, they do one or two approvals a day...but I guess they have more than one employee...are there other things that are keeping them busy?

We are early May filers and we were approved at the 135 day mark. Unfortunately, I don't think it's getting any better. I wish you guys the best of luck and I hope you will get yours pushed thru faster. Now we wait for NVC to receive our case, it's been 18 days since approval and NVC has yet to receive it. whistling.gif

Hello everyone, Just an update here. Marife had her interview yesterday and she was approved her K1 Visa. But it came with 1 condition, I had to submit a letter indicating I had knowledge she has children. I mailed it today by Fedex, it should arrive there by Saturday and she will return it to the Embassy on Monday. According to the Embassy, as soon as they receive this notarized statement from me, they will release the Visa to her.

Oh, in case you are wondering why we have this requirement, I had made a mistake on the petition and I indicated she did not have children, it will cost us about a 1 week delay in receiving the Visa. wacko.gif

Good Luck all!!

I have not posted here in a while, just wanted to leave an update. Package 4 was delayed, so Marife went to St Lukes Clinic in Manila for an early Medical Exam, she was also able to obtain her Package 4 at that time. She had no problems and the Exam was easy, but she hates needles crying.gif ......She will have her Interview next week, Pray for her that all will go smoothly. I hope everyone else here will soon complete their Visa Journey, this has truly been a long road!

It's nice to see the progress many have made! Good luck and have a great life together good.gif
