USCIS Service CentersToday on Barak Obama FB page. Let's Storm it!
I posted about the disparate treatment for different immigrations visas and also filing locations. Also about the manipulation of data denying democratic voice

USCIS Service CentersWhy are the k1's so out of sequence
It's called manipulating the data. Process some Oct, Dec, and change the average length of processing for their dashboards. Then all the politicians will see what a good job they are doing and won't have to help you when you contact them. A win win for everyone.......... Except the people who are waiting to be together.

USCIS Service CentersThe CSC I-129F Frenzy

To the frustration of many, CSC started the year with "competing agency priorities" (USCIS words, not mine) and was approving I-129F petitions at record low rates. The numbers given here are taken solely from VJ members updating their timelines.
January: 18 NOA2, 4 RFE
February: 15 NOA2, 8 RFE
March: 26 NOA2, 3 RFE

April began like the previous months of 2013:
First week of April - 4 NOA2, 0 RFE

And then the CSC frenzy began! Starting slowly at first with November/December approvals, the momentum picked up quite quickly and shifted to July-September approvals:
April 8: 6 NOA2
April 9: 5 NOA2
April 10: 0 NOA2
April 11: 6 NOA2, 1 RFE
April 12: 8 NOA2, 2 RFE
April 13: 0 NOA2, 2 RFE (Saturday)
April 15: 12 NOA2
April 16: 14 NOA2, 3 RFE
April 17: 26 NOA2, 5 RFE
April 18: 26 NOA2, 7 RFE
April 19: 31 NOA2, 4 RFE
April 20: 10 NOA2 (Saturday)

This is a breakdown of the April approvals by NOA1 month:
July: 19
August: 53
September: 32
October: 1
November: 14
December: 29

It is good to see CSC clearing out their backlog. Congratulations to all that have been approved!!!
I hope this continues until they are back to a 5 month processing timeframe.

Thank you so much fo this

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)WAITING for Interview at US Embassy in Ankara...

I guess we were lucky and  got an interview date after about 5 days of trying multiple times a day. ( this was in July) and we have appointment in October.  There does not seem to be a pattern of when the appointment list opens! Or if there is I havent worked it out. Best of luck

I think keep trying.

If i see it open i will post as other Turkish portal members have asked this question too and are also waiting for appointment. I am not sure how long they have tried or  have been trying though.

Perhaps people could let us know

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionTurkish Embassy-no available appointments?

Can anybody give information on  their recent experience on making an appointment for K1 interview in Ankarra.

We finally heard from the embassy and I went on line today, filled out all the details, paid the fee and then got a message

" there are no available appointments at this time"

Called Virgina and very nice gentlemen reviewed the entry and said there are no availalbe appointments. I asked how the system worked, so many released a day, once a week, once a month?Response was "it is at the discretion of the consulate, call back as many times as you want to find out when one becomes avaialble"

Is this the normal procedure? Please , i look forward to your response.

my fiance is devasted. As every twist and turn its up and down. Now it looks like we are in the spin the wheel for the next avaialble apointment

K1 is different. K1's  have to make appointment on line for Ankara. Married applicants get their date from Ankara. We are spending our 5th day together in USA!!!. Our appointment took almost 3 months to get ( see timeline)

Visa came 4 days after interview.

My advice is keep trying.for the appointment time to open..

 Wishing you the best

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOH MY GOSH......
Best of luck. I am not an expert and did engage a lawyer for processing . They asked for my finacials and maybe you have included them ( taxes , Bank accounts etc). But as I am not an expert maybe you don't need these till interview? But it cant hurt to include them.I also stated in my letter of intention to marry that I had the resources to support my finace and that was evidenced by my finacials

Although I did not send affadavit from family/ friends at submission stating their knowledge of our ongoing relationship as this would have taken more time. The lawyer has stated that we may get an RFE and so I am now compiling these. Also now that my fiance and I are processing the K1, I now keep all evidence to show at interview that we have on ongoing relationship ( Trip to meet family, family visiting us, Planning wedding etc.)
We are also an American/Turkish couple with 18 years age difference.
Best of luck
Jacqui

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Waiting case complete in NVC

It took exactly three (3) weeks before I got confirmation indicating that my sister's AOS and IV packets are complete.  We are now just waiting for an interview appointment notice.  Given the dates you have, I'd say you'll most likely here back before the end of the month.

Goodluck!

National Visa Center (Dept of State)checklist from NVC

Louiep is right; you've spent countless years away from your loved one - another 15 days stretch should be the least of your worries.  If you have an option to submit your updated DS-230 form, scan and submit it online.  It takes about the same amount of time for NVC to respond, either on postal mail or e-mail.  E-mail at least has a stamped on when it was sent.  Another option is to send it using a certified mailing option such as FedEx, UPS, DHL to name a few.

I am acting as an agent for my sister's visa processing, and sending everything via UPS saved my "behind" a number of times because I can send them confirmation of the packet's receipt.

I hope this helps - Goodluck!

5Angels2GetherNot TellingPhilippines2013-05-17 03:31:00
National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC Response Time

I am currently acting as an agent for my sister who is processing her visa application (who is an F1 benefiary - 26 years of waiting).  NVC's average response time to my emails with regards to visa processing is usually three (3) weeks.

If you are sending your documentation to NVC via postal mail, my suggestion is to CYA (Cover Your Aces).  I sent all my snail mail correspondence to them via UPS.  This way, I have a tracker on when it was received, what time and who received it.  I also made copies of everything I sent them (again, to CYA :)

January 30 - My sister's visa processing was initially received.

January 31 - Affidavit of Support ("AOS") fee paid

March 8 - Notice to pay IV processing fee received; paid fee online on the same day.

March 25 - Notice to file CS-230 and AOS forms received.

April 8-9 - Completed forms and required documents sent.

April 24 - Checklist for Missing Documents received (I forgot to type in my Dad's name on p. 7 of the AOS).

April 25 - Updated AOS sent.

May 16 - Notice of pending Interview Appointment received.

As you can see from the above, one slight error on any pertinent documentation means another three weeks of waiting into the process (I find this unacceptable, but NVC indicates they process based on a FIFO (First In, First Out) basis unless you request certain exemptions from the rule.

Manila Embassy website indicates another one (1) to three (3) months before they get interviewed.  Given my nephew's birthday on July 28, when he turns 16, I am hoping they will grant them an interview next month.  Otherwise, anything past July 28 may require him to get a Police and NBI clearance.

VolcarSS, I suggest having your daughter call on your behalf to follow-up.  It may help if she follows-up on the matter; it sometimes (not always) help to get her local District representative involved.  NVC somehow responds when they see a political figure's form of communication.

Goodluck!

Yes that's enough time coz you said she did the medical DEC 2013, so its valid until JUNE 2014.

Yes, her medical was done Dec 2013. Thank you for your reply.

PhilippinesMedical 3 months before interview

If her appointment is on April 10, would that be sufficient time or would she have to get another medical exam?

The medical results must not be more than 6 months old at POE (given that the beneficiary didn't undergo sputum/TB treatment).

If her interview is on April 10, would that be sufficient time to get the visa or would she have to get another medical exam?

PhilippinesMedical 3 months before interview

Hello everyone, my fiance just finished her medical exam at St. Lukes on Dec. 18, 2013 thinking that she would be able to interview in manila January, 2014, but when she went to book an appointment the first available date was April 10, 2014. How does this affect her? if it goes over the 6 month period, do she have to get another medical exam before she leaves?

One more question, initially the USCIS  sent me the I 797 notice of action stating that the approval notice is valid from 11/01/2013 to 2/28/14. But the first available appointment like i said is APril 10 2014. Does that matter?

Man I am stressed!

PhilippinesK1 interview and I-134 supporting documents.

Hello guys, i need some help. In terms of supporting documents for I-134. I went to school in the philippines and that is where i met my fiance. I returned to the U.S. on July 31, 2013 and am waiting for the approval to take my NCLEX-RN  for nursing. I started working as a private home caregiver October 2013 so all i have is a letter from my employer (with no official letterhead) and copies of the weekly personal checks that they pay me with.  In addition, since I was attending school in the philippines the past 4 years, I have no w2, 1099 or tax returns except for the 1099 for the  3 months i worked in 2013. Will that be a problem?
