Oh, and i went to apply for my police record today too :-)

This is all the news, Take care!

Hi everyone!! First I want to say Congrats to all of you who are finally starting to get their case numbers :-) It's nice to see that things are moving along.

For my part, I am still waiting for the Noa2 :-/ are there other people in this situation? I was hopeful for a while but now I feel like I shouldn't expect anything before Xmas (5months),

Anyway, I am staying positive :-) and wish all of you luck whatever step of the process you're at!!

Hi, yes, here's another couple waiting for the next step.

Timewise, we're still in good shape because i do not plan on moving over the ocean before June 2014, but not hearing something... (als "ALL" other July-filers got processed so far) drives me crazy. I checked the cases before and after us and they're all processed *jealous!*

Regards,

I'm in the same situation. Good thing is (in the UK at least, you'll have to check this for your country) you can schedule your own medical appointment so your timeline will work out whether or not you get the NOA2 early. I can't move til mid-July so I'm booking my medical end of Jan/start of Feb. I will also have to take a notarized letter from my fiancé (USC) to the interview stating his continued intent to marry me. That's it though smile.png

rhirhi,

doesn't the visa has to be issued within 4 months after NOA2?

Or did you aplly for an extension?

I plan to apply for an extension, just not sure what a good reason could be?

My current work to finish a project?

My kids that they should nearly finish the school year?

Cheers

Hello everybody,

better late than never I join this post :-)

I intend to move to the US next summer with my two children (their dad already agreed on it).

We filed this July too.

I guess I'm one of the rare species who feel lucky NOT having received anything about NOA2 yet :-)

Our plan is, that I move to the man I love next June.

As I actually have 6 months after receiving the visa to enter the country, we thought we would be safe if we file early(so I have enough time to organize everything for me and my chilkdren after the visa got approved). The timelines in the first half of this year also taught me, that we have an expected waiting time for NOA2 of about 5-7 months.

As they're now speeding up the visa process, I'm a bit "scared" and feel lucky, that they haven't touched our petition yet :-)

On top of that, they made the valid timeframe for the medical tighter, which doesn't fit in my plans either:

"Medical Exam: As of October 1, 2013 medical examination results for immigrant visa (IV) applicants will be valid for a maximum of six months. Visas will be valid only until the expiration date of the medical examination results. Therefore, IV applicants should not schedule a medical examination until instructed to do so by the Immigrant Visa Unit in Frankfurt, the National Visa Center (NVC) or the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC). If the visa expires before you travel, you will need to obtain (and pay for) a new visa and medical exam."

Cheers
