I have to confess to something... something only my mom knows. I bought the most beautiful handbag in the Bahamas, but it is easily the most expensive thing I had ever purchased in my life. It cost more than my car. It cost more than that Silverjet ticket to Newark. But I saw it in the window at Salvatore Ferragamo and it was like...where have you been all my life??? It was like one of those eyes meeting across a crowded room moments. I swear I felt my heart skip a beat. Here it is in all its glory:

Good For You!! I'm still waiting for the perfect shoe to find me...perhaps a Christian Louboutin.

I feel a lot better after reading all the replies. I've been using comfi.com-jupiter card and I emailed Sprint for my old phone records even though I haven't been with them since last March. They emailed me back with reassurance to help in any way cuz I told them it was for "immigration purposes". They did'nt even charge me for the 8 months of phone records!

I buy my calling cards online. I can show that I have a receipt for them. But I don't have anything showing phone numbers. My phone bill just shows the 1-800 number < unsure.gif oh dear>. Are phone records necessary? I have tons of chatting, txt messages, and emailing logs.

I agree, find the job 1st then look for housing nearby, cuz traffic can be hell.
I only work 1 mile from home which is very rare and a blessing!
I also live downtown in a transitional neighborhood in lofts, but 2 blocks away is "ghetto" hood type area.
You'll find a lot of that in Atlanta. If you wanna go upper upper class check out Buckhead.
Stay away (far away) from Bankhead.

i'm mad today... i went to apply for a scholarship and this lady made me so mad.....
on the form it asks to put down your race; (One race only) WHITE- BLACK- ASIAN- HISPANIC (non-white)- INDIAN

so I ask her can I write OTHER or BLACK and ARAB? she says no. if you are black, you are black. and to me you are BLACK, so put BLACK.

i was like ????? damn... i thought it was quite racist... but refused to comment...

In my opinion I think the fault is with the scholarship form. The 'lady' was just informing you the best she could *and was probable having a very bad day too*--You should have had an other slot to check or the option not to check ANY at all. Heck, I would've checked "white" just to piss her off! devil.gif

Girl, you'd better get to work! Tornado my behind!

Moonlitcherry, you work in the downtown Atlanta area?

I can sleep late cuz I start my shift at noon. *naah naah* Yes, I work and live downtown about 2 miles from area that got hit. I must have a ton of angels cuz I left work the same time the tornado landed. I had no clue before I stepped out the doors--I'm from Oklahoma (tornado alley) so even without sirens I knew something was amiss and I ran 2 red lights and speed home. My twin told me as soon as I stepped foot in the door what was going on. Luckily the building I work in didn't get hit nor our home.
