IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Our CR1 visa approved...	Answers to your questions.... 1.I think they did not have car service....If you know hindi....it is very easy to take a taxi....no need of pick up services from hotel.... 2.Hotel is very nearer to embassy.....just 5 minutes drive from the hotel to embassy....we went to the hotel one day before to the interview....so we visited embassy ,one day before the interview date.... so on the interview day,we are very comfortable .... 3. I kept my cellphone with my parents..... 4.Don't expect much like in four star hotels.........it is okay for me.....but they are taking half an hour time to serve an order......my parents went outside for food on the second day....they felt good with outside of the hotel food.... 5.It all depends on you......We booked for 2 days......I suggest u to take deluxe room in this hotel....There are two types of deluxe rooms.....one is having enough space and other one is equal to executive room....i.e ....small room....We went one day before to the interview ... so we stayed before the day and on the interview day.... 6.Their check out time is 24hours....From 12 noon to 12 noon... 7.They did not have wifi or internet service i think........But i am not sure about this..... Overall it is good with that price..... but rooms are small...washrooms are clean........it is good for two persons in one room..... I am telling u this,because we are three ...we payed for three persons in one room...they told that they will give extra bed....we thought that they will give single cot with bed.....but they gave us just bed and arranged on the floor....i adjusted with it because floor is cleaned.....anyway i adjusted in the sofa on the day time ... I hope my experience helps u.....I confidentially tried this hotel because of Pmartin(Who told me about this hotel)...... Sorry for correcting....That is not karam....It is kamran residency..... I just wanted to know some details abt the hotels in mumbai, I rem'ber you saying abt Karam residency. I was also thinking abt it, but needed some details. Could you please tell me how was ur experience with it, 1. does they have free airport pickup and drop off? 2. How far is the consulate from the hotel? 3. where did u keep ur cellphone while u went to interivew? 4. how was the food in the hotel? 5. Do we need to book the room for 2 days? or 1 day would be enough? 6. Is the checkout time 24 hrs or different? 7. Do they have wifi/internet? and any other details i need to know abt it... I know i can get all these details from there website but i thought it would be better to get it from you rather than believing whatever is in their website. Thanks in advance. I took my medicals in Hyderabad at vijaya diagnostic center....The doctor name is Rajkumar songa..www.vijayadiagnostic .com...U have to take appointment through email... ....for me the fees is RS.8000 to Rs.9000.... it depends on the age of that person and health of that person....U will have all the details in http://mumbai.uscons...amination2.html U also have details about fees in this site....about the doctor.... In Hyderabad,it is three days procedure.....for me ...i collected my medical reports on fourth day.... We have to visit 3 days to medical center....So i strongly recommend chennai to take u r medical test....because in embassy,i have discussed with chennai visa applicant ...she took only two days for doing medicals... She told that ...on first day they have undergone through tests and second day they collected medical reports..... Thanks for the detail, Yup we can expect that amount of fee because its has became a huge business to these corporates hospitals in HYD to earn as much as they can from even normal patients. I have appointment at 7.30A.M on April 4rth.... ...We went to consulate by 6.20AM....they asked to stand in line immediately after we went there(Immigration and non immigration lines are different)....So we stood in immigration line.....We completed security check.....Entered inside of the consulate.... Two Token numbers received by 6.50A.M.....which sticked to appointment letter starting with "S"...... Interviewed by Indian officer at 7.10A.M.... One token number took from the appointment letter..... Returned the documents which we submitted to NVC... And she asked medical reports... Submitted medical reports... She asked only one question to me... Have u ever been to USA? After that i have long wait for American officer (AO)to be interviewed by him.. Due to budget cuts i think, there were only three AO officers.... So that it took a time to be interviewed by AO officer... Around 10.30A.M ,I was called by American officer.... He is in late 50's...and very nice...and smiling.... Me :Good morning! HE:Good morning. HE:How r u? Me:fine ,How r u? He:fine....when did u guys meet? Me:..... HE: why did u went USA? Me:..... HE:Is your marriage is arranged or love? Me:.... HE:From how many days do you know him before marraige? Me..... He is typing everything what i am saying.... He:Is this first marriage for u or second marriage? ME:.... HE:For u r husband? Me:.... HE:What happened to his first marriage? ME:.... HE:Did he has any children from first marriage? Me: HE:when did he married for first time? Me:... HE:He asked for photos... ME:Gave the photo album... HE:Asked about some photos .who they are.... Me:Answered everything... He: He asked me that why i did not give a smile in wedding photos? HE: Do u like your marriage? Me: I told that i just felt embarrassed before all of them.... He :U both have big age difference... Me: I explained that is common in our customs....... HE:Rised thumb .... Me:I also rised thumb... He: U are approved.... Me:Very happily seen his face....and shaking my head(In Indian way) telling him ok to what he is saying..... He also imitating me by shaking head .... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	New I-864 version	Got email from NVC about our re-submitted i-864, It was again a new checklist but the good thing is that they mentioned to bring the correct i-864 to interview. So now waiting for interview date.   Does anyone know, is it ok if i send my spouse a scanned copy of newly filled i-864 with corrections? or do they need my original signature of it? I just call NVC and asked if we have our interview scheduled !!! she said no and told me that she assure me that it is not going to be in July !!!!!!!!!!! and my case has completed on 14 june !!!!!   NOW my question is : if my interview is not going to be in July so how can it be in August without scheduling it around now ???!!!!!! shouldnt they give us atleast one month notice ????!!!!!!        I AM VERYYYYYYYY CONFUSED !!      hey summer, your invitation to August Interview !!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	New I-864 version	does anyone know how long NVC will take to review a re-submitted (bcz of checklist) I-864?, we got a checklist on 10th Jun mentioning abt mistake in part 6, we corrected it and sent it overnight and it reached NVC on 11th morning. I don't want to call NVC and hear the same old 20 days answers, it feels so frustating to get a checklist after waiting for almost a month bcz of new form... I just called NVC and our case is complete as of today!   I sent the new AOS on May 13, so I guess they are reviewing the new forms quite quickly... It was an exciting night for sure and woke up to a confirmation email.   Thanks again everyone and dwheels76, it feels amazing to see the completed lines with dates each time you update the list haha.   On another note, not sure about the 11am appointment date for Mumbai embassy, but calling the embassy should help in confirming when to actually reach there.   Good luck guys!!    congrats to you both too.. and abt 11:00 AM.. looks like there are quiet a few ppl with that timing.. may be mumbai consulate is working extra session to clear all the backlogs of june and july month.. which is very good.. i am waiting for the official list that would be posted on mumbai website soon so that we can see a lot at ppl with 11:00 AM... I am planning on going to India as well. Anyone here knows how long it will take to get passport back if i pick up at New Delhi pick up location. Thank you     Wow....feel kinda stupid after yesterdays rant!   I got my interview for September 30th as well. What a fantastic day! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2013 Interviews	hey.... i have a doubt....i knw two PCCs are required...one from the passport office and the other from the local police where you reside.....the local  police one is valid for 6 months, just found dat out yesterday...mine has expired too...i think it will take a week to recieve it... Does the passport office one has as expiration too??   Nope, As far i know, They only accept PCC issued by Passport Office. they do not ask for the one given by local police station anymore. And regarding the expiry date, it mentioned as 1 year valid in Packet IV instructions document posted on consulate website. I did email the consulate, and you know how they would reply...i was asking for PCC validity and the replied me saying that " looks like you want to know your application status, plz contact NVC "... now what should i say?   Does anyone in here have mumbai consulate direct email id?, i send email to info@ustraveldocs.in and got the above reply.. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2013 Interviews	on Mumbai consulate site they have uploaded interview list for July and I found that between 12 to 28 there are no interview listed. There isn't anything on their site which says they are close. Lets say there is something wrong at Mumbai, but then what bout Delhi consulate? they are not even issuing dates for Delhi.    good observation robinhood... they did not give any appointments between 07/12 and 07/28, i really can't understand whats wrong with them at all... delay.. delay... and delay......   And also on other note, i saw a recent post in new delhi consulate review posted on July 5th saying that they were again asked for PCC even though the one submitted to NVC was just 6 months old... Its because of NVC delay our PCC is now more than 6 months old, do we have to get a new one again?
