K-3 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAdministrative Review
We or my fiance was placed on AP (221-g). No documentation needed, obviously no reason stated but my question is, has anyone ever gotten a 2nd interview after USCIS has revised? Just wondering because I do know that most cases expire...

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)heeelp about 221 (g)
I am here in Texas and I wish our senators in my part of Texas would be helpful but they have been nothing but unreponsive and do not care to address such issues...

My husband and I went through a similar situation. We had our case returned to USCIS last year. We received a NOIR. I fought with everything that I had. I got my senator involved. I had my husband write everything down that happened the day of his refusal at the consulate. I sent in three large packets of evidence with a strong rebuttal letter from me and my husband. I got all of our friends/family write affidavits of support-got these notarized. You need to find out specifics and get your senator involved. Never give up. We didn't and we got his visa approved yesterday. I will pray for you two.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)My husband was in AP for 10 months, and now on the ceac website it says issued!

Congratulations

I guess AP does last more than 3 months because I am under the same situation but K1, not married. It will be 3 months January 10th, so there is still hope ...He needs to be issued the visa since interview was approved...

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)K1 (IMMIGRANT)

Do you have any opinions or know anything of the sort?

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)K1 (IMMIGRANT)

I mean no disrespect, I was confused since I really never understood Eid or Ramadan and I will eventually have time to learn and learn really well (hopefully it will be mutual as well for him), know it will... My concern as of now is yes, it is DOS that I called and so is this where I call and put a service request? Also, thank you Destiny64 for clarifying that as well. One last question, what is the standard AP? My concern is if they will eventually give him a 2nd interview and if they do then he will have to go through another medical examination since it will expire soon but again, as mentioned earlier, he was approved, took his passport and it has been little over 4 months.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)K1 (IMMIGRANT)

Once again, I am asking for your input into our case. Fiance was approved 10/10.13, took his passport, was told to go back in 2 days. Long story short, was called to wait because of Ramadan. This was only to realize that it was administrative processing, which I think means more verification of documentation. Anyhow, it will be 4 months and still nothing. I am getting so nervous about all of this because it is useless to call. I did call service center because they did send him an e-mail saying case was not in Morocco. Therefore, what they told me when I called was that they would email me and will hopefully find out was is going on. Please let me know if this has ever happened and if it did, is there a solution?

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionOriginals? copies? to send fiance
I send him only the originals 325A the one with I-129F, no need to send another.... Well, at least that is what I think...

My mind has gone numb. Please help! I will be sending my fiance the copy of the first package we sent in initially, petitioning for the K1 Fiance visa. Since I already sent the original signed G-325A, I send my fiance the photocopy, correct? I mean, they don't expect me to print out and sign another (real ink, as opposed to photocopy) do they?

This may sound like a dumb question, but I'm trying to avoid doing something dumb that would only hurt our cause. I can't think anymore LOL. THANKS guys for your input! I will send original photos, ticket stubs, things that I never sent in as originals in the first packet, but I'm going bonkers on the G-325A..... help me please! LOL

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionTO CAsablanca and all the denials
Yes, fiance had interview to be exact July 13th but to this date haven't received a single thing, no email, letters nothing. I do call every week (USCIS) and same thing, simply to wait and wait. Supposedly 1/22/12 will be the date of expiration but I have hard it could be extended but do not know who and how to extend it. I was curious because one of my friends had her interview (fiance) 2 weeks after and SHE DID get letter stating it was expired, so why did hers (theirs) expire and mine didn't. Again, they were interviewed 2 weeks after, I don't understand this. As far as correcting this Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID), how is it possible to correct it when they simply either tell you it's expired or denied, no other explanation...I am really concerned because if nothing else I am planning on going to Morocco and doing the exact same thing you did, marrying him but again, the issue is to CORRECT reasons but what reasons if they do not either tell you or mail explanations...

I see your interview was back in JULY?
Are you STILL waiting for an answer?

Excuse me for being nosy
My interview was back then too

Was curious as to your response. How would you know what to address if I have heard that some couple's process (K-1) was simply denied (send via e-mail). THey never received a decent letter stating reasons. I have constantly called USCIS due to same situation. Under AP for K-1 with no response with exception that I need to wait, wait!!! Wait for it to expire more than likely...

You are submitting an entirely new set of documents. Many items will be duplicates of what you submitted as part of the K visa petition.

Was it lack of evidence, or a poor interview for the K visa? Your K visa file is going to be a factor. So be sure that you address the weakness of the K petition when submitting proof of a bona fide relationship to Casa.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionConsulate Call

To clear things up, I filed previously but were put on AP or AR, it expired and upon numerous attempts to call and get some information as to reasons, I could never get answers. Anyhow, I re=filed I-129F and this time around we got NOA2 in 4 months. Now, he was called to bring passport on Monday at 2PM and he will be given documents which I assume are for him to fill in. Again, from NOA1 to NOA2 it took 4 months and that is fantastic! As far as my timeline, I could not delete the previous results from his interview so I just kept same one with old review. Again, to re-state, he was called to go in and bring his passport at 2 PM.
Anyone with this type of experience?

My fiance in Morocco was called to take his passport. I am assuming that papers he will be given are protocol, e.g. medical examination and other requirements. What does this mean? He was told to be sure and take his passport and be there @ 2 pm. Is this good news? Anyone with this type of issue and or experience?

Absolutely, staying positive is the way of survival with these type of situations, and thank you for your encouragement. I have called DOS and again, an automated answering system that says either inquire after 60 days  or simply wait because processing may take longer. Also, they say that same information can be found online and that is where I check daily. Thanks for your response!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionVISA NOT DELIVERED

THanks for responses but contacting congressman will not help, they just use whatever is in the website as has been the case previously. Also, yes, they have been holding his passport all this time and this is what I seem not to understand. Yes, I have read where AP can take 60 or more days and as told to fiance (morocco) when HE called, to wait at least 90 days but what IF it is not issued, then what? I am so worried that this visa will not come true for as. This is the 2nd time I file, 1st time we were put on AR and so the 2nd time was approved, or was it? I am so hesitant in being positive, this is holding up so many plans since his interview was approved for VISA and it is so sad that these people do not seem to understand they hold people's happiness in their jobs. Now, I am thankful that they do the type of processing that they do, it is their job but sometimes they take it to the extreme and again, do not get me wrong, they take it to the extreme and rightfully so but again, it is holding our plans to marry and start our lives together as a couple as we have been for years...

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionVISA NOT DELIVERED

Hello VJers'

I am hoping someone can help us with this K1 process. Fiance was interviewed October 10th and was approved. Was told to go pick up VISA in 2 days but was later called and was told he would be contacted, this was due to RAMADAN/EID. It will already be 3 months this coming January 10th, 2014 and I or we are worried that we have not received not even a message for information. CO told fiance to come back in 2 days as previously stated but to this day we have not heard anything. It is so useless to call consulate since I am always being put on HOLD, transferred or they do not answer and calls are so expensive.... I am always getting the run around and have not and more than likely will never get that phone line to inquire as to reasons why my fiance has not received his VISA...His status on CEAC is AP, again, numerous emails always say same thing and I believe it is an automated message.

Has anyone ever been in this situation? I even resorted to sending email to my fiance in Morocco so he could deliver by mail to consulate to see if we can at least inquire as to reasons or answers. They have told my fiance to wait 3 months but what will happen if the 3 months expire and still no VISA in hand? Again, I am relying on anyone out there that might have gone through this situation and or process... Thanks in advance...

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsPaisaman's I-130 CSC Statistics
Sorry me again, is it possible if you can create one for K1's from the Vermont Center? Again, as previously stated, I submitted I-129F, denied, under AP...Fiance had interview july 13, 2011...

All,

Creating this thread and will be updating once or twice a week with the stats for the CSC to try to provide an insight into what is really happening in case processing for I130s.

Over the next few weeks I will try to expand the date ranges to include the whole month of July, but for now focusing on the first couple weeks of July where the bulk of the processing seems to be.

Happy reading. Hope it helps at least provide *some* information, at least it makes me feel a little better. :)

Good luck to all who are waiting. Wishing you all a happy holidays and that you will be with your loved ones soon.

Sorry to intervene, sooooo, my case is similar or should I say it is exactly the same therefore, I already got case number. I called NVC and got new number. My question is, they DO call you or they DO let you know  as far as the date for the interview, correct? Do they mail fiance email, letters or something as well. This is my second time filing for I-129F but were put on ap and then it expired. This time around they approved all in 4 months which is great. I know it does not mean we will be approved (of course I hope we do) after interview but I am concerned as to  who contact who for scheduling of interview...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAdministrative Processing??

My fiance had interview October 20,2013 and we are still waiting for his visa. He was approved after more than 1 hour interview (in-private). This is our 2nd petition and thank god his visa was approved, took his passport and was told to return in 2 days. To this day we are still waiting... They told him that due to Ramadan, consulate was closed. Well, it is almost the end of the year and still no visa (in-hand). I have attempted to call, one day over 20 times, always answering  machine or call later but never do I get an answer. I have send numerous emails but get automated reply. I do understand AP is to check documents but approval is already going on 3 months. Again, it is useless to call, just a waste of money since calls are very expensive. All I could think of is emailing fiance a letter from me to him so he could mail that email (which is directed for inquiry) from Morocco to consulate for inquiry on my behalf (beneficiary). Again, as stated previously, the approval is already going on 3 months and I did tell fiance that hopefully by then they will call for him to pick up his visa, god willing... Please advise if this case might be similar to anyone out there.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsK1 Process, Fiance finally called by consulate for VISA

For those of you with K1 process, my fiance's interview was October of 2013. He was approved but it took 5 months for his visa to be finally issued. It was totally useless to be calling consulate since either they never answered or was always being transferred to another non-working extension. Upon requesting Texas senators to help, only 1 responded but only to get same information I would get via email. I constantly was checking website for updates and it would say it was being processed and processed it was. But to those of you with this same type of issue, have patience. I finally got an answer from DOS who stated they would inquire further and so I am guessing this helped, so hooorrrayyyy,dancin5hr.gif  finally issued. I guess the next hurdle is yet to come and that is his adjustment to a totally different culture. Hopefully and I pray that all will be good, GOD WILLING rose.gif  AMN...

Ok, so my fiance's 1st interview was denied. He was given a 221 G but does not say why he was denied, again, he answered all questions, never hesitated and interview lasted a little bit over 1 hour. Again, he did not miss a single question. He was not given a reason, was only told after being given a white form with a check mark on the box-221G, no reason stated and told that it was going to be send back for review to the STATES. I am devastated because although our age is quite a factor does not mean relationship is not viable, true... What do I have to do? Do I need to be sent the NOID of no????? I already emailed consulate (of course, more than likely no response) and will call 7-14-11, any suggestions?

Middle East and North AfricaOh now we are applying for IR-1/ CR-1 so ???
I am sorry but i wanted to get maried when I went to Morocco and did take a certified copy of my divorce and they told me I needed original. Here in texas, they will never give me original. Copy i had was original signatures but copy of the divorce decree with again, original signatures and they didn't accept it, Is it fair, correct????

If this is who I think it is I beleive I sent her a copy of the instructions that received at the consulate when I was there earlier this year....

She will need original copies of her birth certificate I would tell her to order 2 copies to take with her. If she were married before she will need a certified copy of her divorce I would also order 2copies of it. We were married in Fes I don't know if the process is different in your city.... But I needed a letter from my employer and copies of my pay stubs. I also took copies of my bank statements. you will need at least 4 passport pics of each of you I think even more you will need to have all her documents translated. and we had to make a bunch of copies... I think we put together like 10 packets.... She will also have to see a doctor there in Morocco.... there was a bunch of stuff that I am not sure of only because of the language barriers and I didn't always go with Abdul... It was alot of going back and forth from this office to that office.... If you want I can pm you his email and you can send him a message and ask him more about it.... If you need me to send another copy of the instructions from the consulate let me know..

Honestly, you should, take the time and do it but I do understand your time is valuable to be wasting on unethical professionals like this officer. It is not their job, much less duty to classify who we choose to marry. They are here to protect us and keep us safe. What, does this creep think such men do not exist in our country? Thank you for sharing with all of us that are waiting for USCIS to dictate our future...

Thank I am so so happy for you, I hope our process goes the same way, have been waiting in USCIS for 4 months pending AP, haven't heard anything but hopefully he will be granted a 2nd interview, I submitted the I-129F..Congratulations!!!!

Hello, All:

Two and half years of waiting for the Consulate to approve our visa. Our first interview in Feb 2011 was horrible for my husband and then the waiting for the NOIR. Our case was reaffirmed within seven day of USCIS receiving our rebuttal letter. This second interview was great. The american man told y husband to take his time and just talk normally and if he needs to he can talk to him in French/Arabic or Berber if needed. My husband was asked a lot of questions that he answered perfectly. He has to submit all new civil documents/medical exam/ and my I-864 which he had except for the new translations into English. My husband is so relieved. The man said that the visa is approved and to submit these additional documents as he he can. We should have all these items completed by Monday.

HAMDULLAH!!

Thank you all for your support!

Middle East and North Africaadministrative process or review
ok, hopefully someone can help on this question. We were put on AP (visa fiance). I have not heard anything at all and all USCIS is saying is that it is still being reviewed (doubtful). It has been 10 months and nothing. If i need to cancel this petition, how do I go about it. I am in |Morocco as I write this and considering narruage because I think they will let it expire and marriage I hope is the better solution. This is my 4th trip to MOrocco and again, as many of you out there, times you visit obviously does not make it any better. I will have been here 1.5 months already and on my last trip I spend 3 weeks on each trip. NOnetheless I am not doubting it will expire but again, my question is, how do I cancel this petition...

You will persevere, trust in God, have faith. He works miracles, believe me, easier said than done when you hear the word "cancer," but pray... Also, hopefully the process will be easy for you. I do not know the facts but if your fiance can travel to the U.S. that seems to be a very good thing. I wish you the best of luck and will pray for your health. Good Luck and God Bless...

Thank you, hopefully more people can understand the issue. Further,, I know about fradulent cases and it's good they monitor them...

Well I cannot say much as I still am learning each and every day about Islam from my husband. However, my husband seems to disagree about this age difference issue since we are 15 years a part. To say that Moroccan men or the muslim culture do not marry older women is a generalization. My husband says let me show you some proof about our Prophet Mohammed. When people hear that the prophet had many wives they conclude without much thought that the prophet was a sensuous man. However, a quick historical review of his marriages, proves otherwise.

(quote)

When the PROPHET MOHAMMED was twenty-five years old he married for the first time. His wife, Khadijah, was fifteen years older than he. She remained the only wife of the prophet for the next twenty-five years, until she died (may Allah be pleased with her).

Only after her death, did the prophet marry other women. Now, it is obvious that if the prophet was after physical pleasure he did not have to wait until he was more than fifty years old to start marrying more wives. He lived in a society in which it was quite acceptable to have many wives. But the prophet remained devoted to his only wife for twenty-five years. When she died she was sixty-five years old.

His later marriages were for various reasons. Some marriages were with the view to help the women whose husbands had been killed while they were defending their faith. Others were with a view to cement relationships with devoted followers like Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him. Yet others were to build bridges with various tribes who were otherwise at war with the Muslims. When the prophet became their relative through marriage, their hostilities calmed down, and much bloodshed was averted.

*********

So after reading this, I find myself wondering why there is so much generalization amongst others from non muslim countries about this age difference topic when clearly there Prophet Mohammed married a much older woman. As far as children, there is nothing in the Koran that says bearing children is a must. Children are encouraged in any religion and every society and from an islamic prospective, there is nothing that says YOU MUST marry a woman to bare children. I cannot have any more children and my fiance knew this when we were dating and this was never an issue for us and he is a wonderful step dad to my daughter.

Most of the CO's that live in a muslim country know the history behind the Prophet Mohammed and his older wife, so why in the world would they hold this against muslim men???? marrying older woman when their Prophet did the same thing.

Any ways, my husband was disturbed about this age difference topic and I am just listening to what he is saying.

I cannot stay with him any longer than 2 weeks in December but in the summer starting June will be for about 2 months. Again, his 1st marriage was indeed an american woman, he was 21 at that time but she ended up by anullment without letting him know!

Marrying is a first seemingly major step but not the major solution. The major solution is to live together as husband and wife for some significant time abroad. Are you prepared to do that? For how long?

Yes, we talked about it and emotions have to be left out, you are right. I am prepared to do whatever it takes.
