Estou esperando há relativamente pouco tempo - para ser mais exata, 48 dias (que parecem anos... ) Gostaria de saber se alguma de vcs conseguiu visitar o noivo durante o processo de K1, e se foi tudo bem... Mês que vem Keith, que atualmente trabalha no Afeganistão, terá uma leave de 3 semanas... Queria muito ir visitá-lo... No entanto já fui para aí em Abril e fiquei 19 dias (foi quando ficamos noivos) e não sei se as duas viagens estão muito perto uma da outra... Nessa primeira vez não mencionei que iria visitá-lo, falei que ia passear (o officer achou estranho uma mulher sozinha passando férias nos EUA, até chegou a perguntar se eu não tinha amigos ou parentes na cidade, eu disse que não... Mas me deu 6 meses de permanência e nem fui para secondary inspection...) Será que eles tem essa informação gravada? Será que isso pode interferir no meu processo? Será que na hora da entrevista no Rio o consul pode "encrencar" com as viagens? Estamos bem divididos quanto a arriscar ou não... O que vocês acham? Obrigada a todas!! US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Fiance (petitioner) working overseas	Hey Gary, Yes, he has a permanent US address. His mother checks his mails about once a week. I also know about the single entry on the K-1 visa... He is thinking about asking for a month leave when I get there, so he can stay with me and help me get started... (in this case we would have about 2 months together there at the first time). By the way, how long does it usually take until the AOS interview? lancer1655, He is a NATO contractor, however he works for a company who works with NATO. I don't understand very well about US taxes... all I know is that he makes more than enough money to support me and his kids... But I honeslty don't know more about it. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Fiance (petitioner) working overseas	Hi guys, My fiancé (US citizen) is currently working as an independent contractor in Afghanistan. His contract finishes in August but, due to the economy, he's thinking of taking another one, but this time to work a month in Afgahnistan and have a month off in the US. This would allow him to stay with his kids and with me (when I get there), among other things. Another reason for taking another contract is that he must be employed to take me to the US (am I right?). He looks for other jobs in the US every day, but unfortunately it's not easy to find one. My question is: since he'll spend one month overseas, would this be a reason for preventing us to have the visa approved? I mean, is there any chance that the CO thinks something like "Why does he want to take her to the US if he won't be there half of the time?", or suppose that our relationship is not genuine because of this and does not give us the visa? Am I making myself clear enough? I was thinking that the military people probably leave their wives in the US when they are deployed, but I don't know if my case can be compared to theirs... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K1 Visa & Immigration	Hi all, I'd like to know if for any reason, the anwers we give to the immigration officer at the port of entry, when we visit the US on a tourist visa, are somehow recorded by them. I'm asking because I was in the US about a month ago, to visit my fiancé (still boyfriend at that time) and meet his family. If everything was fine, we would apply for the K1 visa. (Everything was wonderful, by the way... I loved his family, I was proposed, we got engaged and when I arrived here in Brazil we applied for the K1 visa...) When I arrived there, the officer made me a lot of questions... I didn't mention my fiance at any point, just told him I wanted to go on tourism. After all those questions, he let me in and gave me a 6-month permit. My question is: do you guys think this may be a problem in the future? Do you think these answers would be available to the officers who will analyze my petition and they would see it as a lie to the immigration? Do the officers search for this kind of info when working on petitions? It was my first trip to the US, I didn't overstay, didn't get married there and left the country before we file the petition. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Fiancee's Name on Visa	Hi guys I recieved my visa on Friday an after looking at the gallery prior to recieving my visa I noticed that the fiancees name is written under annotation. My annaotation section is blank. Is this normal and will it create a problem at POE? Regards Shelby Hey Shelby, My visa didn't have my husband's (then fiancé) name either. It was a blank space. However I didn't have any problems at POE. My friend's K1 visa also didn't have her fiancé's name and she also didn't have any issues when she got here. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June '09 Filers	Two investigators from the consulate showed up at Thuys apartment last weekend.. they asked neighbors questions as well as the manager.. had them sign statements... Why in the world does this have to be such a misreable ordeal? I emailed them a week or so ago and this is what they had to say... Thank you for your inquiry. A consular officer reviewed the beneficiary’s case on July 31. However, the case is now pending a final review by a consular officer. After the officer review, we will let the beneficiary know what documents she need to submit to complete her application. We will contact the beneficiary when there is a conclusion on this case. MIL 30 minutes Thuy 70 minutes now that they have completed that segment, we should get a decision this week or next.... about time... speaking of time.. 11PM is a great time for a consulate to call for an OTP interview huh? Well, I was pretty anxious about this NVC thing, so this is what I did: (I know I'm crazy, you can tell...) 1. Called on the 16th (Wed) - they had my case 2. Called on the 17th (Thu) - was told my case was on Additional Processing (I thought "Oh no... Dang!") 3. Called on the 18th morning (Fri) - was told my case hadn't started being processed yet ("Whaaat?") 4. Called on the 18th late at night again (don't know why) - was told my case was sent to Rio on that day...
