My case is over the 5 months and a senator send an email to the VSC for our case, the answer that she got was that after the 5 months deadline, you have to wait 30 additional days for you to be consider our of the normal processing time, after those 30 days you can apply for an expedided process, because of the 6 months waiting, but that dosent asure you either if your NOA2 is on the way,because if too many ppl apply for it it's the same situation. It is very very horrible, because there is nothing to do, and on top of that today the vermont office is closed due a bad weather condition, so no working today. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any August filers still no NOA2?	they said the same thing to us one week ago, that they were processing the ppl from the 24th of Aug, so I really dont know what to believe, they are just taking too long on this process. And they are just giving us any answer so we stop calling for a while. have any of you try to contact the vermont office directly? because they told us to wait 30 more days and only after 6 months of waiting is considering that our paper are out of the normal processing time and then we can apply for an expedided process on our case, but we have to apply for it and they take 2 week more or less to give you and answer to that request and then may be process our 129F. at least that is the answer that they gave to the senator. does anybody else had a similar answer? This is very very difficult and at one point I really want to give up, but then I imagine my life without Craig and that future was worse than my current present... and in a way it gave me more strength to keep me going. Next Tuesday will be my 6 months waiting and I am really hoping to get some news soon, there are a lot of ppl that are getting approved on 180, 182, 185 days so I am really praying that I will be one of those cases. Just hang in there try to find some other projects to keep your mind off this process, just think about the future imagine that moment at the airport when you get to see her again, my fiancé and I talk about how our days are going to be once we get together and that really makes me feel better. Hi everyone: We got our NOA2 thought the email on the 31st of March and my fiance just received yesterday thought the regular mail, but it said that our documents were on their way to the Santiago USA embassy We didnt get it . we thought it has to go the NVC first and then to the embassy right? First we called the USCIS and they told us to called the NVC or the USA embassy in Chile, because our doc were already send ... So we called the NVC and email the USA embassy in Chile and they havent arrived anything yet, but this is complete normal because it takes like a week to move a case from one place to another, so in both places they told us to call back on thursday. Is this normal or possible for a approved I129F go straight to the Embassy and skip the NVC, or must likely it is just another mistake or the lovely Vermont Office??? Thank you for your comments. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Response From VERMONT	They gave the same answer to the senator that my fiance contact, so she told us to wait until the 29 of march (our 6 months deadline) and once we reach the 6 months the senator remind them about this email and made a request on our case ...they told us to call back in the 11th if we dont get an answer, but we got approved two days later , I dont think that was coincident... trust me that mail is a good sign, some ppl don't get that answer, they get wait until your 6 months deadline and then 60 more days that is just insane Good Luck to everyone	Jota & Craig	Female	Chile	2011-04-12 13:39:00

I am sorry but I agree with all the posts, I have 4 hours difference with my love and we have very very different work scheduales... for the last 6 months I have been a zombi, because the only way to talk is when is 2 or 3 am in Chile, when he gets out of work, and I work at 9 am here so do the math, and we talk at least for an hour. and you have to take into consideration that you havent event wait your 5 months jet and you are already desperate, try waiting for 5 months call them and have the answer wait 30 more days... besides I agree why you should have a special treat, just because you have relatives in the USCIS... but at least you can keep your hope alive, because your are not in the Vermont office, they are really really behind, california is pretty much on the 5 months deadline, our office is taking 6 or 7 months average... just hand in there we all know is hard... but just thinking of been back in his arms gives me a little bit of more hope	Jota & Craig	Female	Chile	2011-03-03 10:36:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Waiting for NOA2	my fiance and I we start calling the USCIS and the senator when we were waiting for 4 months just like you, the USCIS official answer that they gave to the senator, is this one Processing times for specific applications and petitions at the Vermont Service Center (VSC) are provided on the www.uscis.gov website and are updated weekly. Based on fluctuations and variables that impact the processing times and for the purpose of interim or final adjudicative processing, the VSC allows 30 days beyond the posted date before the case is considered "Outside of Normal Processing Time" (ONPT). An additional 30 days must be allowed for adjudicative review and processing before we can request expeditious processing based on ONPT. If the application or petition is still pending after 30 days, it will be forwarded for expeditious processing as an ONPT case. so pretty much they are saying that they have 5 months to process the I129F, but after that you have to wait 30 days more to be consider out of time of normal process, and then they will check your I129F... this sucks, but at least you are 2 months away from been ONPT. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	No info at all	Hi to all We are one of the couples that are over the 5 months timeline and my fiancé send an email to the Vermont follow up on the 15th of March and now we had this email in return today. The Privacy Act, 5 USC Sec. 552a, and Vermont Service Center policy prohibits release of information to someone other than the affected party. The affected party is typically the petitioner, applicant or attorney of record. Disclosures of processing times and general procedures relating to certain form types do not fall under the Privacy Act. However, information given to someone other than the affected party, such as the beneficiary, which relates to the specific processing or adjudication of a particular petition or application is prohibited by the Privacy Act and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) policy. Officer Michele Vermont Service Center Customer Service Unit This is just ridiculous , it took them two week to answer this?? And this means that they won’t even give us any information in our case?? We have send mails before from his email account and we have had answer, but now we have this. I got the same answer one time that I wrote to them, and we thought that I got this answer because I wasn’t the American citizen so he will have to make all the questions, but now even he has this type of answer. This is the thing I when to the Social Security Office with my marriage certificate to change my name, but they said that they cant do it because I have to have my green card first, I know some ppl change their name and they have no problem, but I also know that sometimes this process depends on the state that you are applying in so there might things deferent. ( I am in Louisiana Btw ) the thing is that in my marriage certificate it has my maiden name and my husband's so should I send the forms on for the aos with my married name or my maiden name? my concerned is that is I apply with my married name that person legally doesn't exist yet so how they will print a green card under that name. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 administrative processing delay at six months	I am really sorry about your situation, we've been there done everything .... we made the request on the 29 of march, because it was the deadline that in february the USCIS told the senator to wait to be consider out of the normal processing time my fiance called and also the senator made the request, and we got approved 2 days later on the 31st, but the difference is that when my fiance called they told him to call back on the 11th of april again in case we didnt hear anything from them in your case they told you 60 days...
