Philippines	CFO registration	I have a question for the Filipinos on this board. I was not required to registered or attend the CFO seminar because I was studying in UK and did not intend to immigrate there . I then immigrated to US before my student visa ended. I see on the CFO's website that I can register with the CFO. My question is do I need to register and are there any ramifications if I do not register when I return to Philippines? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	Hello from Russ2622 I have two ideas about why a few people who filed in September have already received their approvals. Both of these ideas are just guess work on my part. Idea #1 there is a fairy godmother that works at the processing centers who at random pulls a petition and approves it. It is entirely at random and for no specific reason. The only problem is she only works one hour every six months. Idea # 2 if just a few petitions are approved with a short wait time it skews the average wait time downward and keeps the processing centers within their processing timeframe goals. That is why the fairy godmother only works once every six months. I write this tongue in cheek but it makes as much sense as anything else that comes out of USCIS. As a May filer I guess I was lucky to receive my approval in 144 days. I have not forgotten my fellow filers. I finally received a letter from my congressman basically saying he would take my concerns under advisement. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	Hello this is the VSC poser Russ. Actually if anyone could have read my thoughts on the VSC these past few weeks they would have been afraid very afraid!!!!!!!!! Yesterday I emailed CNN news with a suggestion for a news story concerning the problems we all have. I gave a brief explanation to what problems we all have and pointed out that the USCIS is setting immigration policy by giving priority to some work visas and delaying processing of family visas. Their role should be to administer immigration policy not set it. I don’t know if contacting CNN or any other network will get our story out but it is another stone to turn so maybe some others would like to contact them. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	Hello everyone. My name is Russ and I joined this site on September 20 2007. I wish I had found this site a lot sooner than I did. This is my first post but I have spent a lot of time lurking on this site. I have found the people who post on this site to be very special and just reading the posts has been a very good experience. Although I have never posted here before I have followed the advice given and sent letters to my congressman and to both of my senators. I also tried to contact several news organizations with no luck. To date I have received no response from my congressman. I just sent letters to my senators a few days ago so I still may here from them. I am happy to report that the VSC does have a pulse as I was approved yesterday. My received date was May 21 and my noa1 date was May 23. The approval email was sent out today at 6:30am and gave the approval date as Oct 10. For me the closer I thought I was to being approved the more difficult the wait was. I am still mad as hell about this whole process and you can count me in to help in any way. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Need advice on a checklist letter	if they have your email address on file they would have sent the checklist letter there with instructions what to correct and a new coversheet for the response and be prepared to send a complete form with supporting documents again Thanks for the reply.They have our email address the problem is that they never sent us the checklist letter telling us what to correct on the I-864 form . According to the automated system it was sent on march 31. We did receive a checklist letter on April 2 saying that they are waiting for the response to the letter sent march 31 . IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Need advice on a checklist letter	Hello everyone. I need some advice concerning a checklist letter . Here is the background info. This is for a cr1 visa. On march 31 I checked the automated system at the NVC and it said that a checklist letter had been sent out. I called and talked with an operator. She informed me that I had forgotten to fill out line 30 on the I-864 form and that this was the only problem that was showing up. I thought I would wait until I received this letter so I could send a copy of it along with the corrected form. I still have not received this letter. When talking to the operator she said that it was still being prepared and would be sent out. Today I received a checklist letter, this letter was to inform me that the NVC is waiting for the response to the first checklist letter. I called the NVC and was told that I should wait until I receive the first checklist letter because the system only showed that the case was under review and that other problems might be found. My question is should I wait to send the corrected form until I get the missing checklist letter or should I send it in with the checklist letter I received today. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Police Certificate	Our petition was approved and is in the process of being sent to the NVC. My wife currently resides in Hyderabad, India. She went to the UK to work (but on a tourist visa) for 2 years from 2007 - 2009. Will she be required to get a police certificate from the UK? If so, who should we contact to obtain it? Thanks!
