Actually I had to do it twice because the first time I wrote it in the review box and when I went to hit submit the internet connection here at the airport had disconnected. So I lost it all. When he handed me the Welcome to America letter and said "Based on the information you have provided......." I cried....I apologized but he assured me it was ok because they like to see happy tears. I will write a review when I get home later this evening or in the morning. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Interview Soon...Questions!	Take a copy of all the paperwork you have submitted. Make copies of everything that you are required to bring so they will give you back the originals. Sign up for DHL asap. That is how the passport is sent back to you. Pick the location nearest your wife. She will have to pick it up at that DHL location or later she can arrange to have it delivered to her house, for a fee. I was turned away at the border as well. We documented it on the forms. It was not an issue at all throughout the process. I was asked at the interview about it. I explained what happened and it was ok. Both of you can go to the interview. Both of you can go to the window for the interview. Some people say they ask more questions if both parties are there than if it is just one. That is just hearsay to me, maybe someone else will elaborate on that. I went alone for my interview. Was asked very few questions and was out of there. The important thing is to make sure you use the same dates on all forms. So if asked the question down the road use the same dates. I really don't think they check into the dates we were in school. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Interview next week in Montreal any good hotels near there?	I also stayed at LaTour. It was clean and comfortable. As sunshine said it was outdated but for a nights stay and the convenience of being right across the street from the consulate it was great. My only suggestion is DO NOT eat at the Chinese restaurant down stairs. I ate there and it was expensive and the food wasn't good. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Medical Examination	There is a shuttle from the airport to downtown. It was $7. in April when I went. If you go back within 24 hours it is free so keep your ticket. Also the machine only takes coin so make sure you have enough twoonies and loonies to cover it. There are many hotels within walking distance of the medical in Montreal it's quite central and only a few blocks from the consulate if he decides to do it all in one trip. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	I-134 co-sponsor	Is there an example form for the I-134 for a co-sponsor. Or can someone tell me what to put in box 11. .....The sponsor (my fiance) did not check either box and then put NA K-1 Visa for permanent residence. Does the co-sponsor do the same thing? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Proof of ties to Canada	Hi,,,,, I had my letter done on company letterhead....All that it said that I was employed with the company for so many years in good standing. And then he put that I was traveling to the US for vacation and was expected to return to work on the specified date. That was fine for me, they took it without any problems. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Visiting	I have read that once the I-129f is filed that we should not travel back and forth to visit. Is this true? They are saying that the might not let you travel because you have "intent" to stay in the country. I am Canadian and my fiance is in the US. Every time I travel to the US they question me as to where I am going, who I am going to see, etc. I have always said that I was going to see friends. Now that we are filing for the K1 visa I would have to say that I am going to see my fiance. If I have a copy of all the paperwork with me will I be able to go visit? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	QUICK FAST HELP!	They say to send 3-5 pictures. Make sure you put your names and dates and where the pictures were taken on the back. We just sent in our package, with pictures, telephone bills, tickets and boarding passes. There is a number on your NOA1 that you enter and you can check for updates on the site as well. You both can register so that you both get emails and or text messages. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K-1 application (NOA1) and B-1 ( tourist visa )	I too am waiting on NOA2. I have vacation coming in September and would like very much to visit my fiance in the US. I called pre-clearance at the Halifax airport. Talked to a very nice man, who thanked us for doing things the right way. He then put me through to another person that said...Proof of strong ties to Canada, lease agreement, telephone bill, utility bill, proof of a bank account, proof of employment (letter from employer stating how long employed and return date after vacation. Do not take any copies of the K1 process with you, other than maybe a copy of the NOA1 or NOA2 if you have it. If they ask why you don't have any other paperwork, state that you need it in Canada for the interview. There is no guarantee that you will be allowed to travel. It is all up to the officer that receives you that day. I haven't decided if i am going to try to travel or not. Let me know if you do decide to go and how things go please! Good luck! On your NOA1 will be a number that you register with. From what I have been reading, some files are touched and some are not. Don't worry if you don't see touched on your file. They did not charge me for certifying it. I have read somewhere that it has to be a certified copy that you give to them.
