I read a post on here of someone saying that louisiana is still recovering from the flood. I would bet anything that within a few months people in the philippines will already have recovered from their flood.

This is also what scares me about my country (the US) That when bad things happen here, we take forever to bounce back from it. With what is happening with the economy today I think its going to get so much worse in the US over the next year or so and I just dont think the people here can handle it and things will get so much worse than the great depression.

Perhaps the reason the filipinos recover so fast is that they all pray when disaster happens and God helps them recover quickly. In the US, many people do not believe in God anymore and do not pray when bad things happen which is why i believe we take so long to recover from disasters.


I have to disagree with what your saying about us americans, we have and always will pray in good times and in bad, in case you didnt see the pictures of hurricane katrina clean up began soon after the storm, people who lost alot in the storm in the phillipines will feel the effect long after the storm just like katrina, storms like that come maybe once in a 100 years so to praise the people of the philippines for their slow recovery and to put amricans down is just flat wrong and you were not there when katrina hit all you saw was cnn reports, i was there and i know clean-up started soon after we were allowed to go back to our homes.

You really what someone's opinion of what you asked? your kidding right? why would you try and override a doctor with a bribe? what if she is positive and you bring her to the states? oh how sad you she maybe, you need to wait and just be suppoertive of her as she deals with this, its only 7 months and if that doctor reports it to the embassy which he will then she is screwed and so are you she will never get a visa then, so think about what you are trying to do.





St. Lukes has marked my wife as TB active, even though they wont tell us that directly. They say she needs to stay here for 7 months. If my wife had active TB then she would be coughing really bad along with a whole ton of other symptoms. I am 100% sure that my wife either has latent or no TB at all.

St. Lukes, from my understanding, gets paid big money by the embassy for their "observed treatment service" that they provide to the "customers", which would give them plenty of motivation to mark people as TB active when in reality they really aren't. I have tried speaking to the embassy and they aren't willing to help.

I am thinking about going down to St. Lukes and passing some $ under the table to a pulmonologist to get her approved. I think the whole "business" they have is a complete scam. Has anyone ever done such a thing or can anyone provide advice on how to go about doing such a thing? I understand it's a big risk but I am 100% sure they are playing games with us. I have high ranking radiologist friends in the states and they highly doubt that my wife has active TB as well.

What should I do?

It is not reconized by the US Embassy so you might want to keep that under wraps, you both will have to get your marriage registered at each others embassy when it is legal, i know what your talking about because alot of people do it that way here in Kuwait just to avoid being caught with the opposite sex in your place, its legal only in that country. Go ahead and have the civil marriage and start your process.

It wont hurt to try you have nothing to loose but try and go through your state senator they have a little bit more weigh than you do trying to request it by yourself, i did a expedite and my process took off after my senator her in NC got her staff on it and now my wife is a LPR with her greencard, hit me up with a message and we can talk you through it the best way i know. But never say never each case is different and yours may be the one that they approve.

It's been a long road to get this point. September 4th is our interview. After two RFE's and over a year since filing.... I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Visa journey more then made up for our worthless lawyer. I am so thankful for this site, or we would have had more RFE's and wasted time. I have been, for the most part, alone except for the encouraging messages I find here. I am so happy to see approvals and know things are moving ahead. I just miss my husband and really am excited to finally start a life together where we both are living in the same house.The knowledge that we will have our day to post an approval and impending issuance of visa keeps me positive everyday. This process is an added stress to a marriage and cause me so many headaches, but knowing I have definite day not just maybe in 60 days, maybe in 30 days, maybe in a year.... but an actual day that we can have an answer has made me so happy. Preparing for the interview has redundant, but a necessity. There are so many times I felt like this process was in control of my life and it felt like it was never ending.  The biggest positive I can take from this whole experience so far, is this process has made me see more qualities my husband possess that I didnt see before. In turn made our marriage even stronger. To everyone having a hard time or a low point just know to focus on the positive and celebrate each step forward. Best wishes to all in their visa journey.

Me and my wonderful husband got approved today finally.  This was our second interview day because the embassy had our paperwork but claimed they didnt, so someone wasn't doing their job. After getting the lawyer, senator, and a trip to the embassy ( called in a favor to a friend ) they were convinced to finally give us this day as another appointment day. My husband went did his interview and at the end they requested another copy of 2011 and 2012 taxes.... so I got a phone call that I had two hours to get my husband scans of this to his email.... needless to say I was so angry after all the delays and hoops, but I did what I had to do. He took the paperwork needed back to the embassy, and called to let me know we were approved. After the stress they put me through I was crying for anger and happiness. I was told the NVC already approved our affidavit of support and that this was unnecessary what they wanted..... but end result is WE GOT APPROVED AND ALL MY THANKS GOES TO GOD FOR ALWAYS MAKING A WAY FOR US TO BE TOGETHER.  I understand people will complain about these posts that are still waiting, but to those people I have been in your shoes, and I watched many people approved that file before and after me. I haven't seen my husband in two years and I am going to be happy no matter and I wish nothing but the best to those who are suffering as I have wanting to be with their significant other. KEEP THE FAITH YOU WILL BE APPROVED. And for the fellow Tunisian/ American users there will be a detailed post in the portal about the embassy and how our interview went. Thanks to everyone here and thanks for those who unknowingly helped me stay positive through their posts and encouragement and making me feel like Im not alone in all this... thank you to all.

Which service center and what's your transfer date? Hope it's a simple RFE for you.... Good luck...

Service center was Nebreska and transfer date was 12-12-13   and we have lawyer, sent pics, chat logs, letters plane tickets, money transfers, hotel receipts, birth certificates, marriage certificates, four friends and family say we have legal relationship and marriage that was notarized ... so i am wondering what they need? So stressed..........
