National Visa Center (Dept of State)Can someone what I have done here
Okay I recieved my case# and got my IIN as well. Next I payed the AOS bill online. Then my wife emailed and requested me (husband) as agent and gave email, address and all related info etc. etc. with request that all info be mailed or emailed to me as the agent. Now I am waiting to see if they will accept the email or request a DS-3032 and also confirmation of payment on the AOS bill. I see on the NVC process flowchart that next I should expect an I-864 package? It doesn't say anything about the DS-230 in that column. I am assuming that I should recieve that and everything would be in one package? I have the signed 230,864 and all other info completed. Get the 864 package, follow instructions and wait next?

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Can you choose interview dates?
Today I mailed out the last of the docs that NVC requested. I expect to have a case complete soon. I can call after that and set up and interview date? I will be working out at sea for 6 weeks, so I am hoping that I can schedule it on my time off. I will be off for 5 weeks. Anyways, can I choose or they set and no agreeing on a convenient time for both ?

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Marriage & Birth Cert. Forma Literal

You should just be able to send in the Forma Literal sans apostille, not sure what you mean by authenticated. My husband sent me those two in Forma Literal exactly the way they handed them to him, I believe he got his birth certificate in the pueblo near his parents' house (where he went to school but not where he was born), and the marriage certificate from the municipality where we married. Then I translated them and sent them to NVC.

Yes, antecedentes policiales must come from Teg, also must be less than six months old at interview (or else get another one).

You say Sans Apostille..... Doees that mean without Apostille.
About the police certificate. From everything I read here, I was thinking I needed that upon interview time. NVC is asking for that and I wasnt prepared. This is the only thing that has cost me time so far.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Marriage & Birth Cert. Forma Literal
I was informed from NVC that I would need to submit Birth & Marriage Certificates in Forma Literal. I guess this means I will need to get these Authenticated and Apostille as well??? I dont even know where to get the long form.............

PS - Anyone from Honduras trying to immigrate. NVC did not accept the police certificate from La Ceiba. Must come from Tegucigalpa.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWaiting for visa k-3

Your petition isn't assigned to a specific case worker when it arrives at the CSC. It sits in a box with other petitions until an officer picks up another box of petitions to work. Check out this Q&A with a former USCIS Adjudicator here:
http://www.visajourn...dicator-q-and-a

There is a VJ member who is collecting his own statistics by checking thousands of case numbers on a weekly basis. He can use this information to determine what dates CSC was working that previous week. That thread can be found here:
http://www.visajourn...csc-statistics/

The last update from Paisaman said it appeared the last cluster of approvals came from July 14+.

I agree that the Immigration Timelines on this website can be misleading. They include VJ members who were expedited for any number of reasons.

I have been waiting over 6 months on my I-130 as well. I also filed the I-129F. My wife is from Honduras.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresTired Waiting for I 130 and I 129F

You have the rest of your life together! Whats a year??

Its totally worth the wait to see your wife with her passport, visa, and smile. I waited two years, lots of pain and money, and tomorrow we are going to open his bank account and his cell phone will be in his own name! Priceless!

I sent the letter to my senator yesterday. Today I called and they said approx. 40 more days to have a NOA2. I am calling the Embassy tomorrow and see how much time it would take to get an appointment for a travel visa.....................Things are looking up.

I agree, once you submitted the I129F your petition got pulled out of line and put with the I129F. How long has it been since you submitted the I129F? That is now your processing time.

Good luck

Its been 5 mos. since filing the 129F.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresTired Waiting for I 130 and I 129F

The waiting Totally SUCKS.. I understand you.....my husband is in Honduras right now.. his been there since July 2011 and we are waiting now for approval for the i 601 hardship... its takes time.. BUt the waiting will be worth it in the end

I was told today by an immigration attorney that filing a DS-230 on top of all this would not do any good. She advised me to contact my Senator. Its been over 6 months since filing the I-130 so I guess I will try that..........

I cant find a DS3032?? What form is that for?

Okay I have read through the NVC Shortcut, thanks so much for the info. I have all the necessary documents for that. I am only confused on one part of that process --- The DS230 packet is sent to USCIS or have an appointment at the Embassy to submit?????

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresTired Waiting for I 130 and I 129F

no, these forms are not filed there UNLESS you have a successful NVC expedite in place, pursing a CR-1 visa. Well, at least the DS-230. The DS-3032 isn't even used by the Embassy IV unit - that's an NVC specific form, for NVC document intake. If it's a K-3 visa - the DS-230 is sent off to the IV unit after Packet 3 arrives to the Foreign Spouse.

Coming up soon, instead, I'm guessing you'll need to do intake at NVC for the CR-1 visa, unless by some stroke of God the I-129F is actually forwarded on by NVC. Mostly, that doesn't happen.

So, whilst yer there, with her, have her sign the DS-230 and DS-3032.

Good Luck !

read a bit ?

yikes yea bad idea....
But why did you do a I-129F if you was already married? Don't get it? The I-130 should have been enough? check the # on the I797 for the I130 and check the status of that application on the uscis web site. Maybe you are already approved and don't even know it.

Good Luck, alot of reading and time is a must when you are in a process like we are all in.

Only thinking out loud, no crime in that. So would it be possible to go and file the DS230 and DS3032 at the embassy here? I have checked the USCIS website for approval every day and its not approved yet. Over 5 months now on the I 130 so I guess I could call and inquire. I filed the I 129F becuase I thought thats what I was supposed to do. Too much conflicting info to dig through here and on the USCIS site is confusing.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresTired Waiting for I 130 and I 129F
Okay I am from Texas and married my wife in Honduras in May of 2011. I130 was filed and I got a notice of reciept via the I 797C August 25,2011. Then I filed the I 129F and got the I 797C for that on Sept. 8,2011. I followed the instructions from USCIS and now I see from another post that this may all be wasted time. I guess I need to study up on CR1 stuff. If anyone has advice, please feel free to give guidance. I am here now in Honduras for 20 days. It will be 5 months from the 129F on Feb 8 and I am tired of waiting. I am now thinking of hiring a Coyote to smuggle my wife and worry about all this other ####### later. I have all my paperwork, copys and info here with me.I dont remember where I sent this paperwork. Wherever the instructions said to send. I know that both my 797C came from California Service Center................

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionInterview in 2 days, need advice
My wife has her interview in 2 days in tegucigalpa, honduras. I have concerns about a couple of things. First, I have my divorce decree but do I need some kind of special divorce record from the previous marriage? Next is my birth certificate. After we finished the physical today, the doctor gave us a letter of requirements for the interview. That letter said the applicant and the petitioner must have (long-form) birth certificates. I have one but not sure if it's a long form. I have a passport so I don't see whats the difference. In short, my wife has everything required but I now have question if I do? Anybody got advice?
