Oh, I am sure it will be fine, Idaho has some really pretty parts.  I hope you are at least moving somewhere you like?

Oh, yeah, we'll be living pretty nicely. It's a smaller town, which I like, and we are surrounded by billowing hills. It's lovely.

At my interview the lady was especially happy to see new pictures and hear that we'd seen each other after the K-1 application, and judging by your timeline you shouldn't have a problem doing the same. smile.png

Aww, thanks! He came here with his parents actually over Christmas. So I got quite a few rainy pictures from that :D

Haha. Little Scandinavia sounds a lot better than Potatoland, which is what I usually get when I tell people I'm going to Idaho.

What kind of evidence did you guys bring to the interview?

I just booked mine, April 10th to be on the safe side that all the papers from my guy gets here before then. But... I got my old boarding passes and I will definitely bring both photos and another intention of marry, as well as a statement from my father saying he met us and he approves. But what else? There's no phone bills for us as we call on Skype. You're not allowed to bring the phone into the embassy but most of our daily contact is through texting.

Any suggestions?

So glad to have found this thread! It was through this I found out that I needed to call Skatteverket för birth cert, or the closest we Swedes can get to it at least. Me and my fiance filed last June and we are currently gathering all the affidavit papers and I'm gathering all kinds of fun papers for my interview as well as medical.

exciting!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsRFE Questions

Last personal meeting sounds like they want evidence of your last time together....photos, receipts, etc. I'm assuming you sent a few, so maybe send some more? If by chance you didn't send any photos then this could be the reason why you got the RFE.

Yes, we sent photos :3 That's why we are concerned something got lost.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsRFE Questions

Hi guys,

About a month ago me and my fiance got our RFE and we were a little in edge, as you know in that critical moment you have done everything to make sure the USCIS got everything they needed. It turned out that we needed to send some more evidence for them, which is fine, but we are also very confused about WHAT to send.

We have gotten a list (which we assume is general) but what is confusing is that on the list they list things that we have already submitted. Those this mean they have missed this or that it has gotten lost?

They have listed Circumstances of Meeting, a page in the B's passport that we pissed but also Last Personal Meeting.

How do we best go about this? We have agreed that the circumstances of meeting can be clarified, as we kept it relatively short and uncomplicated, but as for the rest, we are not sure, aka Last personal Meeting. We have submitted copies of my passport and my stamp on entering the states. We have submitted letters of intent as well as copies of my boarding passes.

Any advice or ideas on what to add to our application is most welcome.

My medical was a breeze, despite my heart condition and I had everything in order. Currently working on my DS-160 and making sure I have EVERYTHING for the interview. It's not booked yet but I'm also waiting for my fiance´s package to get here. i'm happy for everyone with an approval! I'm hoping I get mine in April or something so I can plan everything out and leave within three months of that.

APPROVED!

After we sent in our RFE, my fiance came to visit me in Sweden. When he came back, the RFE hadn't gotten there! Because of posting issues. They mailed out everything again including the last trip's information and BAM. Approved! SO EXCITING.

Usually it's good, at least you know they looked at your case and now need a bit more evidence before approving it.

After you send them the documents they asked for, NOA2 is usually 2 to 3 weeks away from you. You'll have an answer from the USCIS in less than a month, I think, so all in all I'd say is good. smile.png Although an approval would have been better. tongue.png

Ah okay! let's hope so! The wanted some stuff from me I think so if that would make it longer but expressmail :D Thanks so much, this will make my husband to be happy, he was so upset and sad last night.

Hi guys, me and my Fiance are June filers! Sadly though, today we got a request for evidence that's due at the end of November. So I'm not sure if this is good or bad! We got our reply faster than expected, so I guess that's good. We got our NOA1 at June 4th.

I can't post links but it's in the K1 Guide that you can find a link to in one of the pinned threads.

The Affidavit of Support is something the beneficiary will have to bring to their interview, if I have my facts straight.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLetter of Intent Question
Hello everyone... :)

I'm Malin and me and my fiance just joined the site and so far we love it; there's so much information and so much helpful people here. We are very grateful to have found this site.

I have a very silly question about the letter of intent; I found a great model connected to this website but I am not quite sure what one
things means--I would like to make sure everything is as it should be. If someone could just help me out with this I would be very grateful.

United States Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
[ADDRESS OF FILING LOCATION]

it is the filing location I'm not quite sure of--is it the closest office or the town we will be living in?

Thanks! <3

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMedical, affidavit and interview

Thank you so much for your reply!

I talked to a nurse today at the doctor's office and she told me that if I needed any shots, they'd give them to me. I will, however, start taking Hepatitis A/B for my own sake. I think the papers for the affidavit is just about ready to be sent out so I'm doing to do my medical ASAP. I'm already gathering the papers I need from the checklist.

Another question; for the medical it says that I should bring two passport photos; any idea if they mean by American standards or Swedish standards?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMedical, affidavit and interview

Hi guys!

We have gotten to the point in our process where everything is moving a lot faster but it's also extremely exciting. I'm just a tad confused as to some of the processes and I'm hoping that someone can shine some light on it.

So currently, I have a checklist of things I need to gather. This is where it gets confusing. I'm not sure where to start! Should I make sure I have all my papers before I go ahead and do a medical, and after that book an interview?

Regarding the evidence of support; my fiancee is currently working roughly 30 hours a week plus doing college. He works in retail. He has a car and stocks (I think they are called). My question is, how much is needed? I know we are going to be fine, the issue is probably making it believable on paper. What can we expect to no be okay? Is it possible to have more than one evidence of support? I know both of his parents are willing to give their paperwork for this.

As for medical--there is a list of vaccinations that I have to take. Should I make sure I got these before I even go to the medical?

Thanks!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 After Petition

Before the approval, I would just be patient. Your fiancee could start gathering the documents and financial aid paperwork, that should be sent with you and the copy of the entire package, but that is after the approval. Once you get the approval, the process varies a little bit depending on your country. Once the package is approved, your fiance will get an email that will be forwarded to you with instructions. You'll have to do a medical and for that you need your vaccination information.

The police report are for your interview.

This page here helped me a lot in understand what to do when and what. Just be aware that it takes sometime for the petition to get looked at, usually around 6 months.

hello

you did not include in K1 packet the evidences of your meeting in person?

and you did not include in the packet passport's biographic page?

We did, we submitted explanation and photos etc. Biographic, not sure as it's on my fiance's side but I'm assuming not.
