Asia: Southanyone received visa from Delhi consulate??

Not even sure about Chennai (whether it allows USC to attend K-1 interview or not).


My wife attended the Interview in New Delhi on Feb2nd 2007. she was there at around 7.30 am and went in around 8.00am, there were 12 CR1 or K3 Interview that day, as she went inside they gave her all paperwork back as they only kept police report and medical, then wait began around 10.30 she was called for interview ask the standard question regarding me , where and how did we meet, if this was arranged marriage, about my visit to india, which places we are together, my job and occupation , where i currently live in US. my wife answered all the question she was nervous but ready with all answers. Finally he looked at everything and said approved, My Wife picked her visa from VFS office Monday Morning. She is Planning to be here in USA Feburary 16th, the day we met for the first time.

my case was enterd on NVC system on 11th but till now our AOS bill has not been generated......the standard automated response is 6-8 weeks.........will you chip in some responses and tell me what was the time taken for your AOS to be generated, once the case was entered into NVC system........

Im also in Same Situation My Wifes I 130 was approved on October 2nd and NVC generated the Visa Number On Oct 11th. It has got the same message as you have got. AOS has not been generated yet. Im also waiting for that AOS to generate so my wife's process can move faster.

You may also, at your option, submit a photocopy or an Internal Revenue Service-issued transcript of your complete Federal income tax returns for your second and third most recent tax years if you believe these additional tax returns may help you establish the ability to maintain your household income at the governing threshold set forth in Form I-864P, Poverty Guidelines.


Currently im waiting for my I 864 generated so I can send that information in, My only questions i have generated the barcode using james shortcut below the Barcode there is a text which show its provided by IDautomation.com , is there is anyway to eliminate this text.

NVC received all our documentation and entered them into their system on November 1st. I was told that it takes 2-4 weeks for the case to be completed, yet ours is stll being reviewed. :crying: I call daily to find out if there are any changes but not yet. :angry: I am trying not to get fed up but this not easy to do atall.

I would say that if you're not mentally strong to deal with this process then don't do it. By far this is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life and all because I want to live a normal life with my husband who I've know since I was a child. **sigh**


Thanks MaryandMian, I am feeling a little better since I vented. I called again and the lady told me I should hear something by this Friday, since the 4 weeks will expire then. :)



We are also waiting after we just send our DS 230 Yesterday, Im still waiting for Review to completed for my I 864 as its been 3 weeks they say its taking them 4 weeks. I wanted to get this over soon so my sweets can be here ....

let me ask u this from ur timeline..so u filed ur I 130 even before u became a USC.. and applied I 129 F after u became a USC...

does this hurt the process of K3 ??


I really dont know , I hope not , my K3 is being touched in last 3 days and i think what i read from this board or usics website that you have to file K3 when I 130 is pending. I pray to god that K3 should approve quickly.

I have received emails from them (even multiples) but it's totally inconsistent. So I'm pretty sure it's not a spam blocker, just crazy USCIS :)


Agree their e-mail system is a crazy. I wonder if some spam filters might be stopping e-mails because of the duplicate transmittals.

have Received the 3 emails from CSC that they have received my Case. I hope all of this to be processed quickly. Sometime I think this is a delay tactics or just improving faster processing times.

To keep the color, just reply to an original post with color, delete the initial "quote" & end "quote", add only what is desired and preview the post.
Within the edit mode (html code) if :

My Wife is Scheduled for Interview in New Delhi for Feb7th for CR1, as they have not send us Packet 4 in mail , they were telling us my email and phone they already dispatched the letter but since my wife did not receive it she went personally and collected the packet 4 with interview letter. Consulate do recommend to submit all paperwork to VFS including your medical if for some reason you could not submit you can always carry it.

Best of luck to all of you for interview , I myself was from bombay since everyone from my family is here in US my wife wanted to file from new delhi since her parents are there.

Pinky I see the consulate only received your case from NVC on March 14th. Give it a week or so and Packet 3 should arrive. If you want to send in Packet 3 right away, see the link that Nagishkaw gave above, you can send in those forms (and also download the Packet 3 Checklist from Mumbai website and send that in, as well).

On a side note, Chennai said they mailed us Packet 4 on February 28, and it just arrived on March 15th! Good ole Indian snail-mail postal service!



Pinky if you did not receive packet 3 , just collect it from Mumbai consulate or download and send it to them ...don't wait on snail mail as in my wife case she never received.

DCF filing has not been stopped or affected in Indiia. The Delhi office in India has not been affected by the latest policy issue since they are a USCIS service center. not only have i read things online and in VJ but i also called the embassy.


Good Luck to Raj , Hope your wifes interview goes well , im praying for mine , Rizthomson im in consulting and based in dallas for last couple of years. my home in india is in Bombay but since my wife's home was in new delhi and she spend most time there so i filed paperwork for her in new delhi. Well I wish everyone best of luck including manu and sam, hope you should get ur visa soon.

You might want to look into using a cellullar service like Airtel or Hutch with a GPRS connection. My fiance used her cell with Airtel and yahoo chats with cam was not a problem. The connection was remarkably decent. It was not much more than dial-up too.

star_smile.gif My Wife Have Received Approval Letter to Remove conditions from Dallas Office on 05/16/2009 with approval date of 05/13/2009. We Never Receive Receipt and fingerprinting for 2 months and then we called in USCIS they have send in fingerprinting notice for march 31st. No Online Activity. When i checked my mail this saturday ,the letter was sitting there and i thought it might be transfer letter as stamp was from local dallas office, when i opened it was approval letter address below the letter was Irving , Texas a Local USCIS Office. I have no idea our file was in local office.

Good luck to all of you for ur immigration journey ..we have been approved in 4 months 6 days from receipt date.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresUpgrading a LPR Petition I 130 for Spouse to USC IR

I am in almost the exact same boat -- my citizenship ceremony will be on the 22nd. I read on the uscis website that you should call the INS 1-800 number and inform them that you are now a citizen. I'm hoping that they will tell me exactly how to address the copy of the naturalization certificate I need to send in.

I'm also planning on sending in the K3 application that day -- even though we are broke I figure the extra expense is worth it if it gets us back together even a month or two faster.

My spouse is outside USA currently Residing in India.

Im Need ing your expert Guidelines for upgrading my I 130 petition for my wife, I wanted to Fedex all documents on same day i take oath. Its been 16 months without my sweets ....its been really hard and wanted this to end soon.

I also wanted to File for I 129F just in case if I 130 takes up more time.I have seen some positive signs around the forum that I 130 getting approved earlier and faster.

I have a Questioned regarding DS3032 Choice of Agent Form. I have Received Yesterday from NVC its says that it has to be signed by my Wife, I did Faxed her a copy of the form and she signed and email me back. the question , did she has to mail the form or fax to NVC or also if she can email them , what is the email address for Choice of agent.

If you are using the form to send in you must have an original signature....you can not fax or use an email version....however you can email them to as to your choice of agent preference.

Trust me- do not send forms without the orignial signature. It costs lenghtly delays.
As I mentioned in another thread, when we sent our g-325's in with our I130 application, my DH made the mistake of sending copys...after two months of phone calls to the 'mis- information line'- no NOA or cashed cheque our package was sent back for this reason.


My Wife did send the form with original signature from India , She send it by speed post as Fedex and Dhl does not deliver to PO Boxes. Thanks for everyone response, In the mean time my wife did email them for choice of agent.

10/30/2006 I 864 Fee Bill send to St louis
10/31/2006 NVC received the Fees.

Choice of Agent form Send to wife Via Email and Fax she signed and send it to me via Fax.

Questions where should i send the email.

Its taking around 9-12 days after the case completes for the NVC to send the app to the US consulate overseas.

Do you know if the Delhi/Mumbai consulates are 'current' in scheduling IR1/CR1 interviews or is there a backlog of a few months before they schedule the interview?

My Wife got the Interview Date for K3 on Feb 2nd, As far as i know as long it was received before Middle of month they will schedule the interview for next month, In my wife case they told us if they receive I 130 before Interview they will keep the same interview date as K3 will be cancelled. So im Hoping NVC sends my case to new delhi soon as right now its just been a week, they approved on Jan3rd.

:thumbs: My Case Was completed as of Yesterday 1/3/2007 , I also have a K3 approved last month but due to delhi consulate messed up the address and was scheduled for Feburary. But since now CR1 is approved I should also get Feb Appointment and this time I asked my wife to keep checking about the case. Can't wait to be with her its been long journey...Exactly 19 months ...since marriage.
