Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	May 2011 Filers	Have the bio-metrics appointment scheduled for Tuesday but we sent the VSC and the local office requests for changing the date since wifey is leaving today to travel. we followed the instructions, wrote a little letter and show the itinerary for her flight and requested a new date after July 4th. Both those situations we were waiting to receive something to get life going. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I-129F recieved in Vermont	My UPS tracking confirmed that at 11:18 this morning a guy named Stanley signed for my package at the Vermont Service Center. I sent the package from abroad and put the address of my mom in the U.S for all the subsequent stuff. My mom is traveling for 3 weeks and wont be checking for the NOA1. How can I be possitive that everything is settled and in place? I notice that some people check online? What is the procedure to set this up? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2008 K-1 Filers - Feedback Needed - Calling all Gurus and Pro Filers	you should have recieved your NOA1... I don't know where you heard people getting thier NOA2 in 2-3 weeks.. that is just not right. People are waiting 4-6 months for thier NOA2s. Yes you will probably have to wait 6 months minimum for the entire process to unveil itself. That is for the NOA2, and then the application being sent to the NVC and then to the embassy. Then the fiance has to complete paperwork, medical, and interview. VSC has sped up recently (since January)... If you go ahead and file and then your approved! the petition is good for 4 months from the date it is approved but if you dont have a interview or get your vis yet and you still have intentions to marry you can get it extended 4 more months! And i believe you can do this multiple times so i would go ahead and file! In regards to processing time by VSC the "good lawyer" has no effect on this. I have read more stories of people's lawyers causing delays than speeding up any process. This site can assist you without using expensive lawyers. Unless you have a special case or unique circumstances there isn't the need for one. The second point I agree with. You should file now and any timeframe, long or short, will be fine if you are planning a September file anyway... I met my Fiance overseas where we were both studying.... so we lived in the same building for 4 months... apart for 1 month... she lived with me in NY for 3 and a half months... apart for 1 month.... traveled for 1 month and lived together again abroad for almost 4 months. I am returning to NY in April and we will be apart probably for the longest we have been since we met until she arrives on her K-1. A totally unreliable theory is that the end of the month maybe they have quotas or ratios they have to maintain and other visas are getting a look. Perhaps everyone is busy preparing thier taxes and still stuporfied by all the chocolate they consumed recently.
