USCIS Service CentersHow many supporters are here?

Monday is a very good goal. Let's get as much ready as we can, even for people not writing their own, we'll draft up some generic ones on GoogleDocs as someone suggested so people can fill in the blanks, print them off, and send them. I'll contact the OP and ask to update the original post as someone else has done. Everyone else, try to rally as many people into this thread as possible so we can get the numbers up ready for monday. If we get as many as possible sent over next week, hopefully we'll get a swift response.

Edit: I created a GoogleDoc as suggested, link is here https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing

If anyone wants to chime in and make changes, feel free. But it's there to copy for anyone that wants it.

I'm trying to put one together but in professional wording. I suggest u add the data that posted a few days to the letter.

How is this bad news? 10 days is certainly a lot better than 45 days?

email said 45 days instead of 10 days like stated on the website... sorry for the confusion

I Filed a DHS-7001 through Ombudsman - Case Assistance, they don't verify if you actually called. I'm hoping to get an answer with 10 days as stated on their link.

there is now way I' m going to be put on hold wasting my time to hear the lame excuse "we are working on July 18th" and for a hope of a service request, then wait 30 days for response which I doubt I will even get, and then email the CSC follow up and wait 21 more days before filing the Ombudsman online e-request.

USCIS Service CentersGetting ready to call The California Service Center
I'm getting ready to call the CSC regarding my case, its been exactly 6 month and 1 week since my NOA1... I'll post an update with the results (positive I Hope, Fingers Crossed)When I'm done.

I'm going to ask for a Tier 2 Officer.
Talk with a firm respect and manner way.
I'm going to explain how they have been saying processing July 18th for the past 4 month, while November & December Petitions have been getting approved in the past two weeks.
Explain also the emotional stress My Fiance and I are going through regarding this long wait and that we have no clue on how to plan and or make wedding arrangement, due to no date given for anything.

Ask for a service request.

I am trying to be very patient here, but my patience is running out fast. after the response I got this morning, I am extremely irritated... I sent my Congress an email right after this response.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman (Ombudsman’s Office) has reviewed your inquiry.

While we understand your concern, our review indicates that your case is within normal processing times as provided by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on its website. You may monitor processing times on the USCIS website at https://egov.uscis.g...DisplayInit.do. Because your case is within normal processing times, our office will be closing this matter.

Please be advised that the California Service Center is processing I-129F petitions filed/received on or before July 18, 2012 and your petition was filed/received on October 9, 2012.

Thank you for giving the Ombudsman’s Office the opportunity to assist you.

Sincerely,

WM

I Can't believe as I'am writing this.

EMAIL YOUR LOCAL REPRESENTATIVE, IT WORKS TRUST ME.

I wont be totally satisfied until I see everyone that has been waiting to get their approval.

I called my fiance 4:00 AM Cairo's time, just to tell her the great news...

I emailed my local congressman Paul Cook around noon on Monday April 21st.

I called yesterday at 9:30 AM to confirm they have received my email, the person who answered was very polite, asked me for my full name, email address, and a contact phone number, he told me a director will contact you regarding your concern.

The Same day at 3:30 PM I received an email from USCIS saying the following

"On April 24, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance."

Today I Received an email from USCIS saying the following
"On April 25, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

Im here to support everyone who needs it. just call your Representative they will do something. that's what they are paid for.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresContacting Col. Paul Cook, Local Congressmen

This.

I think the most important thing for getting your letter taken seriously is to show that you really understand the problem, that you aren't just asking your congressperson to chase your own personal rabbit down a rabbit hole, and that you expect your elected officials to take action on your behalf when a government agency is failing you so horribly.

To that end, I suggest devoting two or three paragraphs to meticulously explaining the problem. Talk about how, based on the USCIS's published data, there has been virtually no review of K-1 visas for at least three months at the CSC. Further explain how the USCIS is obviously manipulating their processing time frame in order to avoid accountability for creating this backlog. Finally, talk about how it all seems to be related to the DACA program and possibly political pressures that are forcing the USCIS to let DACA petitioners jump in line against citizen petitioners with no end in sight. Be sure throughout to emphasize how the USCIS has become completely unaccountable for and opaque about all of these problems and is in desperate need of oversight.

Next, I'd add some words about your personal situation and how the delay is negatively affecting you and your spouse. Talk about financial and emotional impacts. If there is some special hardship (medical, etc.) you are facing, be sure to highlight it.

Remember, the USCIS is a service run for the benefit of US citizens, not a service that is supposed to cause so much unnecessary frustration. Everyone deserves better than this and its up to us, who have firsthand experience, to tell our representatives, who likely do not, all the ways in which it is broken. And we have to make clear that we expect them to fix those problems on our behalf, one way or another.

The reason, by the way, that I don't just provide a form letter copy of what I wrote is because I think these types of requests need to be personalized. I'd hate for a single form letter version to get spread widely so that congressional offices came to recognize it and discount it.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. I was talking to a buddy of mine and explaining the situation, he recommended that i hire a linguist to proper write this letter. just had a quick question. "what you mean by explain how the USCIS is obviously manipulating their processing time frame in order to avoid accountability for creating this backlog"? do you mean how they have not yet updated the processing times? and should I send an email or a letter in the mail?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresContacting Col. Paul Cook, Local Congressmen
October 9th Filer here, I know I'm not still in the proper processing time window, but i don't want have to wait untill it goes out of range then start to do something about it, and my Fiance is going crazy about process taking too long before she comes here.

I'm going to email my local congressman Paul Cook, what should I say in the email? I was going to explain how the California service center hasn't updated its processing times and its taking longer posted for them to process our cases in mannerly time. should include anything else? what you guys recommend?

I want my email to be taken in an important matter and something is done, not just for me, but for other CSC K1 Filers, instead of being ignored. I read a few posts saying that California congressmen wont do much regarding this situations, but I believe something can be done.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresParalegal case speed up
the USCIS processing time doesn't tell you 5.5 or 7.5 month specifically for NOA2, it would mean the whole process.

people arnt going to refer her if she is lying.... only time will tell, if she gets the approval like she said, then she isnt lying.

and we all belive we are getting the run around with this whole july 18 #######...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresParalegal case speed up
My friend is an August filer, he went to a paralegal who specialize in immigration, she told him, the following:

You must receive your NOA2 with in 90 Days of petition submission.

the whole process from day one should only take 6 month no longer.

its nothing but excuses that they are telling everyone who calls, they are responsible to finish the cases in a the given time frame, regarding how much of a workload they have.

she asked him if he had tried to go to CSC and get status update? (apparently you can goto the CSC in person and request info on your case.)

she took a fee, and she will proceed with helping him speed up the process, she will goto the CSC herself and get the Petition approval right there.

this Paralegal, is very trusted and proven to have been getting cases sped up in the process.
