His office is upstairs from the local immigration office. i wasnt aware you could go to a congressman if your case was still within the normal time frames?? Oh you can go to your congressman for anything. They exist to serve you, and that is also how they get elected. Obviously its not always so simple, but I went to my congressman and we are just 2 months in. They told me they would help! And if they do, I will vote for them for sure!! I received a touch and a change of status that something was mailed to us; it could be approval, request for more evidence, or a denial. Im fairly certain it is a request for more evidence, but the point is that I talked to my congressman that same day and my letter was forwarded to the congressional liaison that day, and our case was looked at that same day! Too coincidental!! Give it a try. We still had about 3 months till we past the waiting period!! Also, pray a lot. The visa process does push us a lot and we have problems in our marriage due to it, but I know at the end of the day we are married and are committed to the rest of our lives together.
