K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	December '08 Vermont K-1 Filers	Too late to edit my previous post..... I found this info on another thread which helped a great deal. Our notice said 14 April, but I had to put 13 April in to find it. Luckily there are so few filers from South Africa, it was quite easy for me to find ours. Here is the tracking information that has been posted: The State Dept uses DHL to ship their packages. Once you confirm the date that the I-129F was sent, you can go on the DHL website to approximately track your case. There are forums here talking about it but I'll sum it up below. 1. Go to: http://www.dhl.com/ 2. Select track by Reference, enter the info as follows: EXP DD MMM YYYYA EXP is constant DD is the day the NVC said they shipped the case. MMM is the three letters representing the month the NVC shipped the case YYYY is the year the NVC shipped the case A is constant For example, if the NVC says they shipped the case on February 5 2009, this would be entered as "EXP 05 FEB 2009A". 3. Date range for shipment - From: Enter the date of the day NVC said they sent the case 4. Date range for shipment - To: Enter todays date 5. Once you enter the info, press "Start Tracking" 6. I kind of came up with a theory this week...(clearly you will notice I started going during this process) When people ask why the approvals dont come through in the date order they're received. Other than those that get RFE's, I'm thinking and using small scale here. If you can picture what Im going to say it might make some sence Lets say there are 10 people at VSC that work on these files, so there are 10 boxes standing there. As the petitions come in they dont all go into one box, they get divided between these 10 boxes. On a day there's only 6 petitions that come in, so each one gets put in a different box. The next day there are another 6 petitions that come in, the first one of that days batch get's put into box no 7 and so they go on dividing the petitions between the boxes. The big thing here is there's only 2 people that work real fast and smart, so they get through their box of files before the other 8. Thats why we see some of the early filers only being processed later....it's those 8 people who dont work smart Did I just write all that? Edited by BL2B, 10 April 2009 - 03:02 AM. To use those employment letters would be wrong if you're no longer employed by the company. Do you have someone that can co-sponsor? Maybe you should start working on getting a co-sponsor while looking for a new job, just for incase. Getting laid off is my fiance's biggest fear right now, especially since we are almost there.
