Africa: Sub-SaharanI-134 Question

I thought it was asking for savings account info only, so I did not fill that section, as I don't have a saving acct., only checking.
I wrote down what I thought was the amount for my assets. I would add what ever I could to make my income/assets higher, better to be safe then sorry. Also, I did have a co-sponsor and he does not have a saving account, he left that blank. What they really wanted was our income tax returns. well I hope this might help some.

Hi:

Thanks for your information. It helps.

God Bless you on the rest of your journey.

Africa: Sub-SaharanI-134 Question
Hi All: (It was suggested that I post this in this forum)

I have a question regarding the I-134, Affidavit of Support, and I am sure this question has been asked and answered somewhere already and forgive me for asking it again.

Anyway, I am trying to complete the form and I am getting "stuck" on question #7, part 2- I have on deposit in savings banks in the United States. Are they asking for savings accounts or all types of bank accounts? I hope this was not a stupid question to ask.

Also While I am asking, I was wondering if I had to submit the asset information, if my income meets/exceeds the income guidelines? Maybe it depends on the consulate where my husband will be going for his interview. I am sure the Lagos Consulate wants to see everything.

I'd rather be safe than sorry in this situation.

Please help. Thanks a bunch.

I am so excited!!!! I don't have all the details, but I do know that he was approved at 1:30 p.m. his time. I didn't sleep all night, guys. Now, I feel like it is okay to be excited about my wedding. After I speak to him, I will ask him to write a narrative (please forgive his spelling errors) and then I will post it here.

Thanks you guys for all your support. It is so wonderful to meet people who so openly and willingly share their stories, happy and sad, so that others can gain. I can't stop :crying: because this has been an emotional rollercoaster as you all know from experience.

Congratulations and God Bless You Both

Okay,

I saw this on another forum and thought it was sweet so I decided to post it here. Do you and your SO have a favorite song? Our song is Mary J. Blige's I found My Everything. That's going to be our first dance at our wedding. Our second song is Tuface Idibia's African Queen. He used to sing this to me before I ever went to Nigeria. He told me that I was his Queen. Actually, that's what he calls me (in front everyone) :star:.Once I got to Nigeria and heard the real version(lol), I fell in love with it even more. He's so sweet.

So tell me your song(s).

My husband writes songs and the one I love to hear him sing to me is "You Are The Love of My Life" and the one we both love is by another artist and I melt in my heart everytime I hear it and it's "Give You More" by J. Moss. We absolutely love this song. :)

If God is for you, who can be against you? I really thank God for the success of this visa journey. My husband's visa was approved today, and he will return on Tuesday the 31st to pick it up. This process has been trying, and stressful to say the least, but I thank God for keeping Fola and me sane! Thanks for all the prayers, and I will continue to keep you all in mine!

Congratulations on receiving the VISA and may God's Blessings Be Upon you throughout the rest of your journey.

Thank you Nigerianlove and Ladylove for your input and advice. I really appreciate it. I wish you both the best for the interviews. I will continue to keep you two in prayer.

Would it be too early to get the medicals done? I don't want to have him get it done and then turn around having to get it redone again because it is not a recent one. Does it matter?

You are so welcome. Glad I could help in some way.

God Bless you both on your jouney and beyond.

Africa: Sub-SaharanLagos embassy

Wow, I must say that this journey is going quite smooth, but very quick! I have yet to send my fiance the information needed for the interview as I have stuff to copy and get together. I guess I have been a bit laid back regarding this process.

Anyway, I was wondering if it's possible for the Lagos embassy to schedule interviews before receiving packet 3. I received an email stating that the petition arrived and uploaded in their system and was told an interview has yet to be scheduled and will mail out packet 4 to fiance as soon as a date is scheduled. Who knows, maybe I am just jumping the gun here. I wonder does it mean it will be scheduled after packet 3 is done or will they schedule the interview while my fiance is getting the medicals and police clearance in the process. Has anyone been through this before? In the meanwhile, I should get my rear into gear.

Thanks for any insight.

Hi:

In my experience with K-3, I was told that my information had been uploaded in the system as well and that an interview had not been scheduled. About a week later, I told my husband to go to the embassy and try to pick-up the packets. I e-mailed him the letter I received from the National Visa Center and the NOA2. He went there on June 13, 2007 and was given the packets at that time and was given an interview date for August 21, 2007.

When I e-mailed them about the medical exam, I was told that he can get it done at any time.

I hope this helps. Maybe someone else has had a more similiar experience.

My baby went to the embassy to pick up his visa today! He IM'ed me saying "baby, we hit the jackpot!"   I am so happy and thankful that God allowed these people to see we are a genuine couple. I didn't think my financial situation would cut it, either, at one point. I am too overjoyed and he has gone completely ballistic, lol. According to a coworker of his, he has been running around back and forth and jumping up and down. I guess his calm and relaxed attitude are completely out the window, lol. A big thanks to everyone on VJ. If it weren't for this site, I really don't think we would be celebrating today.

Also, a big thanks to everyone in the Africa forum. Even though I was going through Liberia, it was the details from everyone else's case that kept me going. I really appreciate it and I pray that everyone else here makes it "out" successfully and in a timely manner!
