How do you say goodbye?

this post really made me feel sad, it reminded me of my last days in manila back in 2008..
i remember how hard it was to push my baggage cart not only because they're heavy but because my chest wanted to explode..
the feeling of walking away from my mom and dad while they watch me walk towards the airport gate was indescribable!!!! Posted Image

i tried to be indifferent, tried not to look back because i did want them to worry and cry.. but it was really hard.. Posted Image

St Luke's Hospital Sucks

Now because the psych wards director is sick for a week we are going to have our interview delayed 1-1.5 months later. We left plenty of time between when we started the medical to when we scheduled out appointment and now they have screwed everything up. Now, I will even have to send last years tax documents over also.

i know it sucks but the SLEC and USEM take psych issues seriously..
i remember one girl i met during my interview has a really light and tiny scratch on her left arm near her wrist..
it's not even that visible but just because they do inspect your body including your arms (for marks),
she went to the same psych process because they think she tried to commit suicide in the past..
so since your wife has a legal record of psych thingy from her annulment, they have to do a strict and stupid process..
sucks more because of the people doing the paperworks!

St Luke's Hospital Sucks

st. luke's in ermita is not a hospital, it's just a clinic for immigration purposes that's why it's called st. luke's medical extension clinic (SLEC)..
st. luke's in quezon city is the main hospital and it's called st. luke's medical center quezon city..
it is the best hospital in the philippines that's why it's the only hospital accredited by the US, canada and new zealand to do their immigration medical exams..
the medical for visa is very important and complicated, im not sure if you read the posts here abt medical experiences but SLEC is very strict because the USEM requires them to be..

she can't go to her interview without finishing her medical because it is the requirement to do the medical before the interview..
as i remember after the medical, SLEC holds the passports and medical records then SLEC fowards them to the USEM..
also, even if u file a complaint to the USEM, it's never gonna help because it is the USEM who gave SLEC those stupid procedures..

My wife's immediate family is dirt poor as her Mom sacrificed everything to provide for her siblings and refused to depend on an unfaithful husband as she scratched & clawed to provide for her children.

My wife wasn't able to finish her college education because the educational funding program her mother paid into for years collapsed during her 3rd year of school.

My wife was 24 when I met her but the only way age was even a factor is that I was worried about probleme arising from too large a difference. I could never marry someone who is the same age as my oldest daughter.

I have no problem with meeting someone the internet, I'd done it before with girls in the US and honestly when I found Anna I wasn't looking for a wife, just a dive buddy for my planned dive trip to the Philippines.

I've said it many times before and I'll say it again and again, Don't marry someone because they fit some stupid list, marry them because their soul touches yours.

Your wife's family seems to be the source of that stress. Maybe the best thing you can do is to advise your wife to resist contacting her family much, until they adjust and stop pressuring her for money.

i dont think the family is pressuring her to send money, the wife just doesn't know how to say NO..
if the wife told her family from the very start that she cannot send money or it's not gonna be a regular basis, this won't be a problem!
reality is - there is nothing that her family can do if they can't and won't send money, it's her discretion!

i always tell this to people that i know who get upset when they're husbands wont give them money to send back home..

Beware if you travel alone to the Philippines

When I went on my first trip none of these things happen because I research everything even the airport. You can find plenty of info. on Youtube how to get through the airport with any problems. Also would send money to my wife at the time was my fiance and should would exchange the money and also she would get private driver to pick me up at the airport. If research you can manage to get through the airport with no issues. If you show yourself you know what your doing they would not come up to you to help you. I also stayed in Tondo and never had any issues when I was their. The only problem that I had was getting a taxi early in the morning and most of the time they would want to over charge or do it off meter which we never agree. But I did do some taxi to deal with to work with my range and never had a problem because they needed the money. Also my mom came to the Philippines for the first time to the airport and I had explain everything to do and she never had any issue at the airport.

my hubby did the same thing..
he did a research before flying to manila..
he went to travel.state.gov then searched philippines then verified the info to me..
he also watched youtube videos..
i told him lotsa stories and let him read articles from the internet..
and i also informed him about the DO's and DONT's in the philippines..

they will ask you if u ever got pregnant or had an abortion.. blah blah blah.. a lot of medical related questions.. even drug stuff..
i looked at your timeline, u haven't had yer medical yet.. i don't mean to be rude or anything but please DON'T give out wrong information..

PS: they will even ask you to take all of your clothes off, lay down and open your legs wide.... then they will look deep down there! :secret:
