I'm a fellow Brit, I have been lurking on this site for months and finally decided to sign up. We sent our K1 application on December 27th, we received an email from USCIS on January 3rd to confirm acceptance of our application. It's now being transfered to Vermont and we are waiting for the written confirmation they sent out at the same time as the email. I have been staying with my fiance in South Carolina since October, I am due to return to England on Monday. I keep telling myself too, that if it takes longer it gives us more time to save and work hard but I still wish I didn't have to leave at all. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	VSC Comatose Once More	Point being, this is hard for everyone. I know not all people are naturally bubbly and positive and sunshiney and . That's fine; you don't have to be. There are people, however, that are choosing to be positive. There are a ton of Igor's List members who have not logged on for months. There are a ton of VJ members who don't log on every day and who won't update immediately. There are a BIG ton of people who aren't VJ members. *shrug* I think it's overly pessimistic to post a thread with this title after the progress slowed (from what we can see on VJ) for 2 days. It's overly impatient and presumptuous and it breeds hopelessness and frustration among people who are trying to just get through this. Don't get me wrong; you have the right to your feelings and I don't blame ANYONE for being frustrated with this process. I don't blame ANYONE for being sad that they can't be with their loved one right now. But dwelling and stewing and losing it when the service center slows for 2 days does not help anyone, especially you. Take a step back. Take care of other things in your life that you'd like to have settled when she does come, and at the very least, if you can't do that, refrain from the excessive swooping in on posts where people are trying to find things to be happy about and be hopeful for. It isn't "false hope" - maybe it isn't as quickly as we would like, but we are going to get through this. It's silly to suggest we'll all be in NOA2 limbo forever - and it saves a lot of our sanity to look for the good things and to keep busy. You can choose to deal with the process in whichever way you choose, but please stop trying to get as many people as you possibly can on board the negative train. VERY well said! Elena is alone in Ekaterinburg, so she will not be leaving anybody behind either. I realize that some of you think the wait is entirely reasonable and that the system is just fine. To you, happy waiting. Just please chill out on your contempt for those of us who find the wait to be patently ridiculous and the system horribly broken. We are entitled to speak out against this system just like you are entitled to speak out on how great it is. I still believe my advice is relevant, apart from spending time with people you will leave. Sorry for not realizing you are the petitioner. Its a horrible horrible situation to be in. At times my Fiance and I find ourselves feeling so resentful of couples who live in the same town or even the same house and take each other for granted. But it's important to remember we have found true love and a relationship that will endure. It has to be to go through this for someone. Getting angry and frustrated wont speed things up, you are only bringing further suffering to yourself. I know it is a very helpless feeling and can imagine even more so, as the man. Its heart breaking seeing them suffer. But as someone else said, immigration is not our right. We just have to be patient and remember this is the start of a whole new amazing life, which is a gift. During my last visit to him we filed the K1 papers and spent almost 3 months together as a family. Then to have to come home and wait not knowing when then end will come sent me crazy. Its so disheartening. Last week I seemed to be always picking fights with him. We got it all sorted out and things are great now, I look back and realise it was stupid. I was just so stressed. Thankfully he is visiting me this weekend for 8 days, so I am busy getting ready for him arriving. It's the most difficult thing to have to go through, when you love someone so much and have to be thousands of miles apart. I often freak out and worry he will meet someone else while this process is dragging out, Thankfully he will go to the ends of the earth to reassure me. I am very lucky to have him. Remember this will be over eventually and you will have the rest of your lives together. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Visiting Fiance during K1 process	Hi guys, I am sure this topic has been covered but there are so many pages to search through to find information. I would like to visit my Fiance in the US in April, preferably for around 85 days as I did before we filed last year. However I am really concerned about not getting through immigration... Obviously I would not do anything to jepordize our Visa process after the time and money we have spent. But as we all know the wait times are crazy and we want to be together. He left England yesterday and the only thing stopping either of us from sinking in to depression is planning another visit soon. However I am self employed working for a London based company, I rent my home and due to all the travelling back and forth I resorted to Home schooling my son temporarily. Can anyone who has done this let me know what reassurances they gave immigration that they would return on arriving in the US, What evidence I may be able ot provide and what I need to do, Our tickets are gonna cost around £1800 non refundable, I simply cannot lose that sort of money if I am refused. But at the same time I desperately need to start making wedding/living plans with my Fiance. If we hear anything about our Visa such as our NOA2 or interview I would change my return flight and come home early. Any advice will be soo appreciated. Another December filer here, Some days I really think I'm gonna go crazy and other days I think maybe even if there's no logic to the USCIS there must be to God/The Universe, Maybe nothing arrives prior to the right time, So I am working on self improvement and trying to keep busy, spending a lot of time with those I will have to leave. The hardest thing for me is wanting to plan a visit, but at almost £2000 a trip for myself and my two children its not worth going for less than a month, my fear is we would get there, receive our NOA2 and have to return. Ugh My brother has renamed the USA The United States of Paranoia LOL His girlfriend is from LA, and they were able to be together within a few short weeks because she was able to move to him. Post Decision Activity On May 18, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service. I cannot believe it!!!! We didn't receive any emails or text messages. I just happened to log in and there it was!!! I just stared at it for the longest time unable to take it in!! Then I called my Fiance. I was screaming so loud "WE WERE APPROVED!!!" Funnily enough I was trying to buy health food and vitamins when I abandoned my shopping, I was feeling so run down. I agree that finding your soulmate is something to feel joyous about, but being with them like a living situation, then apart, then together then apart as we have been is like the evil dangling carrot "Here's your happiness, everything you ever dreamt of...oh wait no it's gone again" The more time we spend together the more I drift away from my life in England, then I return and simply feel empty and alone. I truly believe this situation can deeply impact your mental health, especially with children involved. I saw my doctor today, he has me on better anti depressants and some Valium for those particularly dark days. You guys are right, it takes super human strength to endure this!! and only true love could give us that. Only WE understand this. There IS light at the end of the tunnel even when we can't see it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I feel like I'm losing my mind :(	I have been doing long distance with my Fiance for two years. I just got back from a ten day visit with him last week, and as usual the post visit blues have struck. But this time it's different, all I can do still, is cry. I just went to do some shopping and the self serve machine kept declining my card despite me having plenty in my account, I just abandoned my shopping and walked out sobbing. I'm usually such a happy upbeat person but this situation is killing me. I had such bad depression over it last year I had to be put on medication, I can't be with anyone else. I love my Fiance so much, we have four children between us who love each other like brothers, on the last visit I went alone and bonded so much with his Sons I feel like they are my own, everytime I think of their little faces I break down. Its been 4 months since our NOA1, I should be feeling like the light is at the end of the tunnel but I'm just becoming more distraught, I feel desperately home sick! I tried throwing myself in to my life here, spending time with friends and trying to have fun, it worked for a while, but now nothing is helping, as you know we cant make any plans, here or for our lives together there. I just dont know what to do with myself. I had hoped to visit again late May but our Noa2 is due around that time, now everyone is saying they are taking 6-7 months to come, I dont want to book the flights and find that it comes and I lose all that money. I have been picking fights with my Fiance terrified he will meet someone else, even though he is the most devoted man I could wish for and never gives me any reason to dis-trust him. Then I am back in a spiral of depression and self hate. This isn't my home anymore, my family, friends, home and life are 4000 miles away and I actually think I'm having a break down. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	December Filers	Hellooo!! Bring your police check to the medical. They asked for my fiance's and his medical exam was May 27th. It doesn't say it anywhere in any of the forms, but because of what I had seen here, I asked him to take it anyway. He said it was the first thing they asked for. I believe they give it back, but make copies just in case. You do not need to send any documents in with the K-1 Application forms. You bring all of those documents with you to the interview. Always make extra copies of everything. The financial information is the I-134 filled out by your fiance proving that he can support you. You bring that to the interview as well. I keep hearing that London doesn't go through your secondary evidence, but just in case we have the receipt of our engagment ring, pictures, flight and hotel ticket receipts/stubs and emails/chat/phone records. I hope that answers your questions! Good luck. And yes, I agree, don't wait on packet 3. A lot of people don't receive it. So long as you know that London has LOGGED your case and your forms will match up with your case, then send away. xo Awww thanks so much honey, I was worried if I sent it off without the supporting evidence they could send it back. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	December Filers	Hey guys I am hoping someone can help me. I just got done finishing off our paper work and am a little confused... It was confirmed our case was received in London on 25th May and I got our case number from a nice guy on the phone, no packet 3 yet, but he advised me not to wait and go ahead and send the forms (Yey!) However, it states on the DS 156K that the forms must be sent with the police check etc...I thought we were to submit the supporting evidence AT the interview? I was also told on the phone that I would need the police check at the medical, so do I just send an extra copy to the embassy? it also asks for financial information. I am presuming this is my Fiance's financial information, is that correct? I don't have that yet, it is on its way from my Fiance via courier...I'm guessing I need to wait for that before I can submit the paperwork. Is this right? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	November 2010 K1 filers	what concerns me a lot is that people seem to have a BLUE cirlce on one of the grey circles on their status yet mine are all still grey??? my reciept is dated nov 5th and the top right hand corner says "notice-nov 9th" so im pushing 2 and a half months in yet my status has no blue circles and says nothing other than what i stated in my recent post. All help and advice is greatfully recieved guys When did you get your NOA1? I wouldn't worry too much about the colour of the boxes as long as they are illuminated, but I don't really know.
