K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2009 K-1 Visa filers	I've been trying off and on for the past three days now Noticed the change in the prompts right away, BUT I still cannot get through to a human being!! GRRRR!! I push 2, then 1, then 5, hear nothing for about 15 seconds, then it sends me back to the "You have reached the National Visa Center" message you hear at the very beginning...It is VERY tempting to push 1 (Haiti), but I know better.... ok, so I push 2 again for non-Haiti related issues, then quiet for 5 seconds, then "This service is available 24 hours a day .... blah blah blah", push 5 again, and "I'm sorry for the delay, our operators are assisting other callers, please try again... blah!!!" and over and over and over again! Anyone have any tricks? OMG! Never mind ... I kept trying, somewhere along the lines I accidentally pushed a 3, and IMMEDIATELY there was someone on the line! Woot!! Got our case number, they received our packet on 1/27/10 and sent it to Vancouver TODAY!! YAY!!! WHEW!	Beth and John	Female	Canada	2010-01-29 11:05:00

The number is still same: 603-334-0700, but keys combination has changed due to Haiti's issue. Now it's 2-1-5. By the way, I called today at 9 am, got through from the first attempt, spent 7.5 minutes on the call, total. So, maybe it's just morning and low call volume, or it got much easier because they have separated Haiti's calls. At any rate, best of luck to everybody. Back to job. WOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Congratulations!!!! I'm so happy for you hi all..me and my fiance also file k1 visa october 2009...i already receive the letter from USEM that appkication was approved..all i have to do now is go for medical next week...i having problem trying to call the Visa Information Center cause only postpaid can contact there 1909 number...i was hoping to call for schedule of interview..fiance is visiting this february and kinda hoping we can fly back together already if visa will be approved... I (hopefully) lit a fire under him last night. We don't have the NVC case number yet, but that packet 3 information is looming ahead of us, and very quickly. His interview is set for March 11, 2010 at 8:30 am. We have some of his stuff done, but we are going to call tomorrow to make an appointment for his medical exam. With in days we got our NOA1, last Tuesday we got our NOA2, this Monday we got our NVC#...I just got off the phone with NVC. they told me as of the 25,Jan 2010 her packet is at the Manila Embassy.....With God's graces, she will be in my arms within the next couple of months. Its been 2 yrs, since I felt her touch. And God knows I miss her touch!! j Congrats on all your progress so far!! We received the hard copy of our NOA2 today! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2009 K-1 Visa filers	i received an email from the USCIS this morning, i was so excited to open it as i thought it was my NOA2... false alarm... i just says: "Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed" i guess they're a bit slow as my response to the RFE packet was received on friday... nonetheless, at least i got some news from them... still optimistic that we'll all get our NOA2s by the end of the month... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2009 K-1 Visa filers	I'm holding my breath. Went to sleep at the middle of the night yesterday, hoped, it would be an email. Hopefully, it would be a good news next week. It's coming! I'm sure of it. I find it so interesting that some get "touch" after "touch, some get only one "touch" when the NOA2 is issued, and others get no touches and all of a sudden approval shows up. Must be that those adjudicators that work from home bring back the ones that are approved and someone just enters a whole stack of approvals, other adjudicators work in the office (these are just assumptions/guesses)? I received a gloriously PLAIN piece of paper in the mail from the United States Department of State National Visa Center that was postmarked Jan. 20, 2010 (makes me think that my package was more assuredly put in the Montreal package via DHL on Jan. 20). Except for the fact that it has my full name, first middle and last, it is so plain. It isn't like the "fancy" paper I received my NOA1 and NOA2 on. It has my Montreal case number on it so it is a LOVELY PIECE OF PAPER! One step closer to being with my love forever! If John weren't in it, I can pretty much guarantee you that I wouldn't have paid to go see it last night and would have waited for the dollar theatre or it to come out on DVD. You see, my guy is a background actor, and has done so for many a year. Today, The Tooth Fairy came out, and John has a part in it! We weren't sure how "much" of his part would make it into the movie or if it would make it to the cutting room floor. I took my middle daughter and her friend to see the movie tonight and let me tell you guys ... the squealing that came from the three of us when we saw John on the screen AND saying his lines, that he ad libed entirely (no script!), was astronomical! I was just SURE that our NOA2 wasn't going to come and I would have to start fighting with the USCIS at the 5 month mark. What a relief and such excitement. I called the NVC yesterday and found out that my case was sent to Guate on the 14th! WOW. I already emailed the USEM here and am waiting for a response. I want them to e-mail the packet because mail here is unreliable. Woo hoo! You guys are moving right along!! Hopefully they can email it for you CONGRATULATIONS TO BETH AND JOHN! Oh well, it's not as if I'm surprised since I pretty much expected it once I discovered this forum and saw that photos often weren't enough evidence to prove a prior meeting. No problem, I've got plenty of evidence to send. I'm just really, really bummed that this case has to be delayed any more. Bastards! Oh well, that's life I suppose. At least I can expect a fairly prompt approval once I get the evidence sent in. Looks like most people got approved within about a week of submitting the required evidence, so I can live with it. Sure is better than waiting! Ugh, sorry to hear that, BUT it should be an easy fix, no? And did they update your case on the USCIS site, or did you get the RFE in the mail? What is the I-797 "date" mean in the RFE line ... cuz that's just the number they put on RFE's (I googled it to double check). So did they get an RFE? and when if so? It actually told me to call back between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. or so. but since I was calling at 8:07 a.m. I just stayed on hold. I can't wait to hear when my package is on its way to Montreal! The lady asked for my fiance's email address, I am figuring so the consulate can send the packet 3 via email to my fiance'. I can hardly wait! Very exciting!! (and I'll be hanging out with the November folks. From then, i have not heard of anything... so disappointing..... It was killing me.... Did you sign up for email and/or text alerts? Also, keep checking your mail box! I saw some people that received their NOA2's but never got an update on the USCIS website let alone a text or email. Good luck!!! Don't think there's any way we can afford that so we're gonna have to get rid of him. I'm so tired of things not working out the way we want them to. I can't stop crying. This is all so stressful. I'm so tired... UGH! That is outrageous!! You can't have him be your "carry on" like so many people do? I'm sure you have checked it out, I'm just trying to think of anything. I would be devastated if I had to give up one of my kitties. They are very much my babies. I'm so sorry! It is very stressful. John and I had such a mixed visit over Christmas - a mix of good and bad and not much down time for ourselves. I'm just ready to be with him, in each others arms, wake up next to him every morning.
