Dear fellow VJrs,

Good evening! Maybe someone has ask a similar question regarding this matter. I've been trying to search tonight but couldn't find an answer. I was previously working in Hong Kong for two years between 1999 to 20001,I was wondering if do I have to get a police clearance from that country too? Thanks for any reply! God bless......

Yes, you have to. According to the USCIS and US Consulates it states that you have to get a Police Clearance in ALL Countries you have stayed/worked/lived in for more than 6 months since you were 16 yrs old. Hoe this was helpful. I lived in the Philippines and got my NBI there amazingly fast. Let me know if I can help. Good Luck! innocent.gif

Ok thanks for the reply! Do u know the link to the site where I can obtain a copy on-line?

Hmmm.. dont know about this one. But if you have received your Packet 3/4 then it states there. R u in HK? Filipina?

Yes I am a Filipina but now working in Singapore previous years in there HK for two years. I just realise just tonight as I was reading some topics here about police clearance in HK since I was there before.

I don't thing your friend could do anything about it... She's screwed...

But I think the child can do something, when he/she turns 18 he can do something about it..

Roserick I think she meant, BUTUAN, a town in Mindanao not BHUTAN (Vietnam) whistling.gif .

I feel sorry for your friend, its a heartbreaking love story that tests the long-distance relationship. I think she should seek an attorney. Good luck to your friend. There might be others who will give a sensible answer for your questions. unsure.gif innocent.gif

Nope, you don't have to go in person to Singapore to get police certificate. Download the form in their site and submit a copy of his fingeprints in his local police station send them together with proof that it is required for getting a Visa.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureswhere to file???? Help

If you are working and considered a resident of Singapore, you can interview there in Singapore, just indicate this on the I-129F.

You will still need to acquire police certs from the Philippines, as well as Singapore.

And yes a relationship of less than a year is not a problem.

wow! I was surprised by a quick reply! So happy about it. My work here is only for two years so does it means I am not a resident here? Too hassle to go home for interview if the processing country is Phils. Thanks for the quicky reply I really appreciate it!

You only need to be a resident. Don't need to be a permanent resident. The length of your relationship is not a factor but all couples need to show evidence of ongoing bona fide relationships at the interview. Continued visits and communication is the most common way of doing that.

I suggest both of you start by studying the guides here and the instructions for the I-129F. Then come back with any questions.

Thnaks a lot for all the comments. I am glad that I found this site. it really helps a lot especially for people like me. Yes we have continued communication everyday. Only that we can't wait for more months to be separated. THANKS!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureswhere to file???? Help
Hi guys,
I am a new member here and I will be really glad if someone could advise me. I met my fiancee last December, 2006 thru yahoo chatroom and everyday we chatted and write emails as well. So we decided to meet last April, 2007 and he got engaged too. Now I came back here in Singapore to work again and he's now in the US. Now I want to know if we are qualified to apply a Fiancee Visa and the processing country is Singapore though I my home country is Philippines? Is there any chance for us to be granted such Visa since we only have less than one year relationship. Though our feelings is so strong towards each other and we are so desperate to be together everyday. Please help!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurestouched???
we are a May filer. It's two months now from the day we filed our petition but we have never been touched, why is that so???? :crying: I see some applicants here who have been "touched" many times already yet did they skip or forget about our case???? Then in our timeline its says ours is:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as September 21, 2007*.

Is this how late they would take care of our application? Please let me understand all of this.. Thanks in advance!

Really??????? Thats a lot. After we chat everyday we also sent email to each other. blink.gif Thanks Deezee, I am hoping too. All I can do is to wait and pray and lots of patience I suppose. Goodluck to you,

Make yourselves a favor and send each other not only emails but also snail mail. I enjoyed a lot writting letters for my fiance since we began the relation and we had a bunch of letters for the interview. They actually didnt pay any attention to them but they saw. And then I took them again for my AOS (Adjustment of Status) interview and it work perfectly.

Aside from emails and chats we also do have snail mails. Still like the old fashion letters though smile.gif star_smile.gif heart.gif

Thanks a lot for the reply now I have the idea on what to do.

Im so ignorant when it comes to this process sometimes (procedures) but, what number do you call? A touch would be better than silence.. wacko.gif Although trying everyday to be very patient.

Try to call the 1-800-375-5283 thats the number my fiance' called. Everytime he call that number someone will pick up the phone. Just relax besides you are a June filer while there are still more May filers who are not approve yet. Goodluck and thanks!
