US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	HELP Juarez Consulate Reprinting Visa Appointment Letter	I am having the same issue except we never received the invitation letter still. They told me on the phone to go ahead and make the appt because we live in Cancun and sometimes we dont even get the mail. But now we need the letter and im freaking out. My fiance leaves the day after tomorrow. I called the consulate in Juarez and they said their systems are down and they cant answer my questions. I guess we are just in such a hurry to leave that I keep forgetting it takes awhile. My sis filed for her fiance in March and they were working on December filers at the time. Her fiance had his interview and was approved in August so theirs took 5 months. Gonna have to keep myself busy before I go crazy here hahaha. Hopefully everyones will get approved in 5 months. (Juarez - travel)	If it makes you feel any better they said on the news (Mexican news) that violence has gone down 60% in Juarez which is quite a bit. I haven't heard any bad stories about girls going. Just have her stay in a hotel across the street and just go to and from the Hotel. Obviously its very soon and they have not e-mailed us yet to notify that they have received it but My fiance and I were thinking of going to Orlando for a few days next week and then also my sister is getting married in November so we will have to fly to Minnesota for that. (We both live in Mexico) What do we need to do? I mean can he go to the states while this is in process?? Does he need to Say something to customs or what? Thanks in advance for your help!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Going to the states after sending i-130 form	I had posted a few days ago but not sure if it actually posted. My fiance and I (We live in Cancun) are going to Orlando on Saturday, we just sent out I-130 packet for the K-1 visa last week. Is there going to be a problem when we get to customs? We are going to Orlando for 5 days and then to Minnesota for a week for my sisters wedding in November. Do we need to say something to the customs agent? Has anyone gone through this?? (01-55) 5080-2000 I called them yesterday, thats the US consulate in Mexico City but because it was saturday they were closed as well as here in Cancun. My biggest concern is getting a hold of the California Service center to let them know too. . This could not have come at a worse time, just cant believe this. Just makes us want to move even more. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Stolen Passport	IMO I would contact them to let them know - then there wont be any confusion (in theory), about whether the stolen passport has knowingly been used to initiate a petition. I have been trying to find phone numbers but I cant find any where I can call from Mexico. The only number I found was for automated service, nothing else. I just sent them an email but will keep looking for a phone number. Hopefully the tomorrow when I go to the US consulate they can help me in some way. I have all the copies of my passport and stuff. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Stolen Passport	I recently sent my I-129 packet to Texas and it is on its way to California but my fiance and I got assulted yesterday and they took my purse which had my passport because we were on the way to go on our trip to Orlando. I dont have my birth certificate here in Cancun so I sent copies of my passport for proof of US citizenship. I have to get a new passport now but what do I do? When I get the new one should I send it to California. What if they look up the passport and see that it is reported stolen, should I call them and let them know? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	How far along is the CSC	Thanks a lot!!!! Patience is the key!!! I was scoping out the boards casually before I sent mine in. It seems that VSC and CSC switch every now and then for which one has a higher turn around. Last year CSC was working faster all the way through about May of this year. Then, VSC turned around and was working faster. Seems like this trend happens every year/year and half where it switches. Who knows why. lol By the way, congratulations! We just recently;y found out that I am pregnant and I would really like to have the baby back home in MN but I dont want to have to go without my fiance. Hopefully we will have the visa by May. I sent my I-129F on September 14th so I guess I have awhile. I thought the CSC was known for fast approvals so I was really excited when it got sent there, especially cause my sisters now husband got approved so quickly. I guess we just have to keep our fingers crossed!!! Good luck to you!!! CSC is slow to none! lol It is true that their Processing date is June 16th (even though the website says 5 months). People on the boards who have called have confirmed this. In terms of VJ members receiving their NOA2...some straggling June petitioners are receiving them and they seem to be on about mid July. I think a few August got accepted. Maybe one or 2..or that may be VSC (all the info is jumbled in my head). I'm watching pretty closely, as I sent my petition the end of July and received my NOA2 early August. I'm "right around the corner"....which in my head means "January." (I don't have much faith that we'll get our NOA2 in the 5 month time frame. The average is looking 5 1/2 right now, so I've mentally prepared for that. Although...my fiance and I tend to be the type who mentally prepare for the worse. lolol) Expect slowing down on top of the slowing down with the holiday season. *sighs* But what can we do. I am assuming it is for an I-129F since you posted in the K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process portion of the forum. Go here to check the processing times for CSC. This only shows the timeframe it takes to process the petition. It doesn't indicate the month of the received petitions they are working on. If your receipt notice date is beyond the processing timeframe indicated, which is currently 5 months for I-129F petitions, you can give the customer service a call at 1-800-375-5283 to inquire about your petition. The best method in IMO is to find some other members timelines whose NOA1 dates are spaced a few weeks to a few months ahead of yours. As those people reach NOA2 you will be able to gauge how close and how fast they are moving toward yours. Its not a perfect indicator as there are other variables, buts its better than nothing. I have been with mine for 8 years in June so I am a success story! We are at the end of the k-1 Visa process but we have lived together for almost 6 years so we already know what its like to live together and I would say we are a success. Follow your heart and your conscience. I always think it's someone you should know well. A lot of these stories you hear are from people that just met this person once or twice. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Haven´t received Packet 3!	I'm guessing its taking long because I live in Cancun, Mexico. We have been lucky to get all of our other mails from them but they never took this long!! My fiance's appt is almost at the end of April so we still have time. I already filled out the DS-260 and all the other forms. Thanks for your answer!! You have brought me some relief!! Packet contains a form listing all the documents you need to bring. You do not actually take the packet itself to the interview. If you can go online and download all the forms, and the listing of the documents you will need ( med exam, police report and so forth), you should be good to go.
