Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionA little advice please!
Hey,

I'm about to send my I751 off for filing with my evidence.

I can provide as evidence (all of which have both our names):
- Mortgage agreements
- Car Insurance
- House Insurance
- Tickets showing us traveling together (boarding passes with our names in adjacent seats)
- Bank account statements
- Tax returns (not IRS statements)
- Utility bills (only one of either of our names on, but show us living at the same address)

and of course the usual family photos.

My question is.... is this enough or do I need to provide 2 written afadavits? I understand these are to be provide in the event you might not have enough evidence. Do I have enough evidence?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWhat's the best thing to do....
Thanks for the advice.

We were married 4th Dec 05.

I have requested transcripts for 2005, 2006 and 2007; all three of which we filed jointly.
I also have bank statements spanning back to that period
I did also just dig out our old lease agreement from early 2005 and we stayed there until 2007 when we bought the house.

Then I'll back that up with utility bills, some of which I don't have going back that far, and our insurance stuff only goes back as far as 2007.

From Dec 2005 to Dec 2006 I just have the above, from 2007 on I have tonnes of stuff. Do I need to worry too much about pre-2007 stuff as long as I have the lease, transcripts and bank (checking) statements? What I'll call the "basics".

2007 on I have the above plus mortgage, house deed, joint car and house insurances, and all the other stuff at the top of this thread.

Ok, my provisional green card expires 1/17/2009, meaning I could have filed my I-751 with all the supporting evidence no earlier than 10/17/2008.

I was delayed about 10 days as I was away with work, but now I'm back and have everything almost ready to go.

My question is... I was only just able to request tax transcripts. Should I wait around another two weeks for the transcripts to arrive and mail everything as soon as they come in, or should I just submit everything I have above without the transcripts NOW???

I've already lost 2 weeks, and really don't want to loose any more time! I'm kind of paranoid about not submitting everything on Day 1 of my 3 months period!!! unsure.gif How many people submitted there's a few weeks in - did they have any problems and get their NOA's quickly enough?

I have as evidence :

- Tax Return (not statement) for 2007
- Checking account statements with both our names
- Car / House insurance policies with both of us as the policy holder
- Mortgage statements addressed to both of us
- Utility bills (which are only in one of our names but are same address and I have some with my name and some with my wifes)
- Copies of signing documents on our house (which we bought May last year)
- Ticket stubs from a flight we took together in June
- A health insurance certificate from last year with both names on it
- 2 signed & notarized affidavits

P.S. How long does it take to get the NOA at the moment???

I have had no news on this package now.

Any advice / ideas?

Did anyone else have a package forwarded - how long did it take to update, and should I get details along the way?

Called USPS - no help what so ever! They told me I should see updates on my online status, but its been 4 days - seems too long to not hit another post office!!

Thanks for your response.

I confirmed the form I use is version : OMB No. 1615-0038; Expires 10/31/09 - the same as currently on the site (which I was sure it was as I only downloaded it a little over a week ago).

However, the Instruction form with the same version states the address (as I live in Michigan) as the one in Nebraska. But, I just went to the website again and downloaded again, and all though the version at the top is IDENTICAL it states a different address this time, the California Service Center. The rest of the form looks to be the same, just the address is different.

Strange...

Hopefully I'll find out soon enough if it arrived there, or will land back in my mail box.

How long to receive a NOA once delivery is acknowledged by CSC at the moment?

Thanks.

I just jumped online on the USPS website to check my package was delivered OK and got this...

Status: Forwarded

Your item was forwarded to a different address at 12:12 PM on November 18, 2008 in LINCOLN, NE 68501. This was because of forwarding instructions or because the address or ZIP Code on the label was incorrect. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

Has anyone else had this? Has it been forwarded to another service center?

I do know the address was 100% correct and I paid in the post office so the proper fees were paid! wacko.gif blink.gif
