United KingdomLondon embassy questions.
Hello

I had my interview on April 12th and fly out on the 20th June, my experiance with all the docs was that most of them they didn't look at or even want, the letter from the employer they didn't read or want, the copies of pay slips they didn't look at, I got a years worth of bank statements sent over from my fiancée in the states, and all they kept was the last month, letter from the bank they didn't want, my advice would be to gather everything that they ask, remember each case is taken on its own merit, the folder of evidence I took in with me with a view to handing it over I actually brought home with me, my experiance was very fast from sending off the 1-129f prob took around 6 months, my actually visit for the appointment at the embassy took less then an hour and most of that was waiting around for my number to be called

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsKI approved
Hello

Well I am off on June 20th to the states, my visa was approved 12 th April and my passport with visa was in my hand a week later. So going back to July last year is when we first sent off the I-129f didn't take to long for the email to come to say they had recieved it. So maybe a month or two later we where asked to send in additional evidence that we had missed out the first time, sent that back, again recieved an email that it had been recieved, Christmas eve 2011 recieved another email to say the petition had been approved, so once the new year was underway, I caled the embassy with the LDN number as hadn't heard anything and was advised they ad my house number recorded down wrong, so had to send email to the embassy which took two weeks for them to update, anyways as we now had a LND number I was able to book my medical, advice fom me is once you ave that LDN number get your medical out of the way, it's valid for 12 months and is send to the embassy in five days, the medical takes approx two hours however mine was a little longer as my blood pressure went thru the roof so was taken to a room to lay down for an hour to have a second reading, anyways I think it was just the fear of the poking and prodding that I was expecting to have...... They didn't poke me much by the way. Tip.... The drs is easy to find come out of bond street tube, cross the road there is an ally/ road in between denenhsns and another store just walk right up there, I did google map the building just so I new what it looked like, took less then 10 minutes to find. Ok so I recieved the letter for my appointment at the embassy, it was set for 09:30 am, I booked a hotel in London the night before and woke up ealy and made my way to the embassy, again easy to find on foot, tube at marble arch walk down park lane follow signs...easy.... So my appointment was at 09:30 and I was at the embassy at 08:00, went straight thru security into the embassy and got my "I" number, took a seat and waited for the number to be called, my number was the 3rd number went up to the booth handed in my docs took approx 10 minutes and was told to sit back down nd wait to be called again, I wired maybe 20 mins, and my number was called or the second time, this time I saw an American offical, this took all of two minutes and I was done and approved, paid my fee for the courier, I was done and dusted before my normal appointment time on the letter.

Recieved my visa approx a week later with my passport, booked my flight, had my wisdom teeth out, handed in my notice, changed money up, cleared all my stuff I had gathered over the years and took it to the local dump.

Medical insurance booked, atlas America.

The whole experiance was an experiance and an eye opener, the worst part is just the waiting and waiting and waiting, but it is worth it in the end of course. Remember to take lots of money, or at least enough to keep you going, you may ave the k1 visa but that's only the start..... There's more forms and fees to pay...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFinally!!!!
Congrats I got approved April 12th and got my visa in the post about a week later, fly out in two weeks, I think the worst part is the waiting after you send the paper work to the embassy in London and then suddenly the interview letter arrives

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI129f Passport Question
They will write to you and tell you what it is you are missing, we also forgot to send in copies of passport pages and copies of entry and departure stamps, they also requested letters from friends and family, this delayed our case by a month, personally I would wait for them to contact you, you could send them in now but I guess you prob don't have your reference number yet so it might prove hard to match up their end.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureswhats happing
On the us embassy web page for London they had a statement stating that no visas where being granted in May/ June, maybe this could part of the reason for a delay, with having a back log to catch up on. A good tip tho is once once you know the petition has been approved the case has to be delt with within four months of the approval date. From start to finish mine took approx 8 months for my visa to be granted.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2--> NVC---> London Embassy
Took a couple of weeks for me, maybe just less then two weeks, once you have the LDN number he can go ahead and book his medical and get it over and done with, he can go ahead and get his police check over and done with and if needed he could use this time to get a copy of birth cert if needed and startup gather all the other evidence needed for interview
