US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionHelp with k1 packet 3
Hello,
I have a few questions and don't know if you can answer them.
1. I am currently doing my k1 packet 3. I am in the process of sending step 1 but for step 2 (with the checklist) Do I send all those things in at once?
2. For the step 2 medical examination is that when I need to have all my immunizations up to date? Will there be another physical in the future?
3. Do I get all my immunizations administered by my family doctor or by the appointed physician?
4. It says on the site I need to get the 3 HPV shots. It also says the second shot is administered 2 months after the first, and the third six months after the second. Do I need to have all 3 HPV shots before I do the medical exam listed in step 2?
5. Do I send the checklist separately from the all the requirements in step 2?

Thank for you for any and all help you can provide.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPLEASE HELP (PHYSICAL- IMMUNIZATION)
Please help.

I need to do the physical and I was looking for the requirements for the immunization records and it says I have to get the Gardasil HPV shots. That's fine, the problem is is that when I was reading up on it it said the second shot is administered 2 months after the first and the third is administered 6 months after the second. If I have all my other vaccinations and 1 of the HPV shots will that suffice for the physical? I'll be going to the one in Toronto. Do I need all 3 HPV shots before I can do the physical?

Please please help me.
Thank you.

For proof of our engagement all we really have is the receipt from my ring. I got him a silver ring years ago and don't still have the receipt or anything for that. We don't have any pictures or video or anything for proof (from the day of our engagement, we have a lot of pictures just in general) because it wasn't a big to do.. so what other proof can we provide? What did you take to the interview?

Thanks in advance!

Marina

I didn't even have the receipt, just pictures of us together that they didn't even ask for or want to see. I was wearing the ring at the interview.

Thanks for your response!
I was also wondering, does your fiance(e) get to come in with you for the interview or are they just allowed in the consulate?

when i called there last week they told me i could get an appointment in a week .. but i need my vaccination records so have to wait now for another week for blood test results but hope my answer helps ya

Thanks RYCK. I'm working on my vaccinations now so I'm hoping to make an appointment for early dec. once all my vacc's are done. i also had to get blood work done just this past tuesday so hopefully this will move quickly smile.gif

I've never heard of anyone getting their blood work done by their family doctor and not being referred by the Civil Surgeon. You might want to check on that, or bring the results of that blood work to the medical, in case they require you to either take it over again, or so that they can enter that information on the forms, and include it in your package.

I kind of did it the opposite way. I just sent back my checklist without my medical yet. I know I can get a medical done within week or so and I figure I'll get an interview in March so I have time. I'm going for a tetanus shot next week and then I plan to book my medical with my case number. The list item just says "arrange for a medical" so I'm pretty much doing that by getting the last of my vaccines and then booking something.

I think a lot of people did this. Send back the form, as long as you know you have to still do it, don't let yourself get held up in getting that checklist back to them so that you can have an interview booked. I'm sure it says, you have had it done, or are going to have it done, but either way, you can have the medical after and even book it after you send the checklist back. Sapphire Dreams did it as many of us have done it. good.gif
I'm SO glad the DS160 is over with though. I timed out THREE times before I could actually complete the online form!!

My family doctor had me go to a lab to get my blood work done and it was to check if I had anti bodies toward chicken pox and hep a + b. he didnt want to give me shots i didnt need.

That does bring me to another question though, I was worried about not having my medical done before i sent in the checklist .. is that really okay? you just need to have it done by the time you do your interview? I'm leaving to see my fiance for christmas but i won't be able to get all my vaccinations done by the time i leave, thus, i wont be able to do the medical before i leave. i was sort of scared about leaving, then coming back, then doing the medical, THEN starting the wait time for the interview date. helpppppp.

Okay. So I got package 3 in the mail and I sent in step 1 (DS 230 AND I-156 or whatever) on November 5th. I'm on step 2 and working on the checklist. I have everything done but the physical as I'm waiting to get some of vaccinations done. To do the physical (I'll be going to Dr. Seiden in Toronto) I have to bring them a letter of approval. Is that the NOA 1 and 2 from the initial petition that my fiance did? Or will they send me another letter of approval in response to step 1 of the package (the DS 230 and I-156 or whatever)????

Please help. I'm going to visit my fiance (he's in Indiana) for Christmas so I wanted to get this all sent in before I go so while I'm gone I can pass some of the waiting period with him in Indy.

Thanks in advance,

Marina.

The letter needed by the doctor's office is a letter from NVC indicating your interview date.

See the link below and I believe trailmix has attached a most recent K1 interview letter. I believe that is the letter needed to be brought to the interview.

CanadaMedical at Dr. Seiden (Toronto)
Okay so I looked on all the sites and I'm just about finished getting all my shots so I made sure I'd given myself enough time and booked my physical with Dr. Seiden's office in Toronto for the end of March. As she told me what to bring with me she then said "and $275.00" I looked on all the sites and they told me it'd be $180.00... I'm getting all my vaccinations ahead of time so I know thats not the reason it has gone up 100 bucks in price. What's the deal? Has anyone recently done their physical in Toronto and how much did it cost you?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 PACKET 3
We got our NOA 1 and NOA 2 telling us the first package we sent in was approved.
I am Canadian, my fiancee is American and I'm trying to move to America.
Now, I got this "packet 3" and what I'm wondering is on the DS230 PART 1 it asks me to state ALL the times I have entered the US. The problem with that is that I've been coming to the US since I was a little girl and I'm now 20. I've been here more times than I can count. As I type this, I am visiting my fiancee in Indiana. How do I go about answering that question. If you are British or Canadian you do not need a visa to enter or visit the US for up to 3 months. After 3 months you need a visitors visa. Therefore, I've never needed a visa and have no way of telling how many times I've been here let alone the exact dates of entry and return. I've always come over legally and been legit with passport and all but as a little girl you didn't need a passport, and half the time when I return to Canada they do not scan it.

Also, I have 2 middle names. On my passport it has only my first middle name, whereas on my birth certificate, it has both. Do I put my second middle name under "other names?" or put them both under middle name?

Please please help. unsure.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWaiting on Montreal Interview. I have questions.
Okay so I've sent the checklist and have everything ready to go. Have my medical booked and I've got all my immunizations, etc. So I'm just wondering.. What questions are asked at the interview in Montreal? My fiance and I have been together for 5 years and we know everything about one another so I'm not worried about any questions they'll ask pertaining to our relationship really but as for proof with the years going back and forth I never thought to save ticket stubs etc. until we started the visa process and now I'm sort of nervous. I'm also really bad with dates so if they ask me exact dates of when pictures were taken etc. I'm afraid I'll stumble and they'll get suspicious. I just want to have SOME idea of the things they may ask me cuz I'm SUPER nervous. HELP! thank you.
