IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresIR-1
Hello everyone

I am a USA resident married to a Philipina for 2.5 years, we live in the Philippines for economic reasons. I want to patition my wife and her 3 kids on the IR visa but I don't have tax returns for the I-864 because I only recieve disability income from the US government (SSD). I have a joint sponsor that more than meets the requirements. My questions are: I understand a letter explaining why I have not filed tax returns is required, how should the format of the letter be written? and I also understand that proof of my SSD income will also be required, how do I get this SSD proof information? also will I need coppies of both my I-864 and coppies of my joint sponsors I-864 for each of my wife's kids? note her 3 kids have no father listed on their NSO birth records.

the top of the I-130 instruction says and I quote: "if your ailen relative qualifies under paragraph2(b) or 2©above, seperate pititions are not required for his or her unmaried children under 21 years of age" and she qualifies and her kids are under 21 and not maried also they are considered my step children by the uscis.

as I read the instruction for the I-130 the kids are included and only 1 I-130 is needed so just 420 USD

I am also in the process of sending a pitition to Chicogo, I will use the I-130 and will include my wife and her 3 kids along with supporting docs. and the G-1145 and cover letter. Will this become the IR-1 and IR-2 for the kids automaticly?
I am married to a filapina now for going on 3 years, she has 3 kids under 18 years of age and no fathers listed on the NSO birth records.
I can not meet the income requirements for the I-864 and so I will use a joint sponsor.
Somewhere I read that it is best to send everything at once including the I-864 of mine as well as the I-864 of my joint sponsor. What is your advise on this? and do I make 2 assemblies? 1 for the 1-130 and 1 more for the I-864's?
Thanks much

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNVC and AOS fees
Hello everyone.

I have received all 4 sets of AOS but I have a question.
when signning in to the NVC for the AOS payment page, it shows related cases for my wife and our 2 youngest children, But our oldest child seems to be a stand alone case with no related cases?? my wife is the primary applicant and here case shows related cases of the 2 youngest children, while both the youngest children's cases show related cases of their mother and the other youngest child. So my question really is this: Is there an age limit to where our oldest child would be a seperate case? She is 9 years old.

Thank you everyone......Rodmanvirgo

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNVC and AOS fees
Hello everyone

Yes I have filed 4 seperate petitions for my family members with my wife of over 3 years as the primary.
Thank you all for your fast replies. I have one more question. In the AOS fee papers I see something about adjust status. How does that work? we are married for over 3 years now and will my wife get tempory residentcy, tempory green card, or permanent, and whats the best way for me to do this considering that right now we are scraping the fee money together here in the Philippines, and once we are in the USA my wife will be working so maybe her and the kids can adjust after were there?
Thank you all

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresIR-1 WITH KIDS
Hello everyone

I am filling out the ds-230 for my filapina wife, she has 3 children all under 16 years of age. I have compleated the AOS fee payment and that covered the 3 children as well. I am ready to submit the I-864's and also I-864 from my joint sponsor along with supporting documentation.
my question is: do I need to fill out ds-230's for each child? or only coppies of the principle applicant (my wife)? also I understand the fee of the ds-230 is $230.00 usd, will the fee be times 4 because of the children?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureswhat is A number on I-864
Hello everyone

I am about to submit my I-864 along with supporting docs. but I have a question.
On the I-864, part 3 (Information on the immigrant(s) you are sponsoring) number 9. lines a,b,c,d,e it asks for A number if any??? is that the application number of each immagrant that I am sponsoring along with the principal immagrant? such as: my wife is the principal immagrant and her 3 children are added in part 3. all have nvc case/application numbers, is that what I put as the A number?

wife: MNLXXXXXXXXX6
daughter: MNLXXXXXXXXX4
daughter: MNLXXXXXXXX3
son: MNLXXXXXXXX1

Thanks everyone!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMarried to filipina with 3 kids, need help ith process!

if you have resided in PI for 6 months or more, can file the I-130 'collection' to US Embassy/Manila/IV Unit.

IF you wish to file, instead, to the lockbox address in Chicago - hey - that's do-able to.

One I-130 for each person (1 on her, 3 more for the kids) - 4 sets o fees.
and
The K-3 isn't really available anymore - see/read/review http://www.visajourn...eived-together/

Bob's given you the link for the I-130 Guide - but bear in mind - any instructions there about the K-3 - IGNORE THEM

If you choose to file I-130's to US Embassy/Manila/IV Unit - wei - that's 'Direct Consular Filing' or DCF - here's 'that' guide --> http://www.visajourney.com/content/dcf

I'm not sure if Manila 'allows' co-sponsers/joint-sponsers for CR-1/CR-2 visas, but it's worth a shot, always.

Rodney - are you a permanent resident of the USA, or a USCitizen ?

Hi
I am us citisen and live my whole life in Wisconsin. I lived in The Philippines for 9 months after my wedding there.
I read the I-130 instuctions and my wife's kids fall into the part of the form for unmarried children under 21 and so no seperate I-130's needed for the 3 kids. I dont think I qualify to file DFC cause i was not philippine resident for the required time as per their guidlines. Any help is very welcome as we want to be together asap. Rod(in need of joint sponsor)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMarried to filipina with 3 kids, need help ith process!
Hi everyone

I was married in the Philippines on Dec. 11th 2009, and lived there with my wife and her 3 young children. Now I want to patition them to the USA. I see a few options of visa types. I am hopeing to find someone that has already been down this road for advice and guidence. The 3 kids have bith records as illagetimate so not fathers to deal with. My wife has never been married tilll now to me. I only receive disability income from the TSA and so I will also need a co-sponsor. I want to use the IR1 and IR2 for my wife and kids is this the best? i would like her to be able to work as soon as she arrives.
So the first step would be to find co-sponsor right? after that fill out the forms (not sure of what is needed) for both me and the co-sponsor. I know i need to fill out the I-130 and maybe the I-129f? then submit all to the uscis office for my state along with all fees, right? like I said I really need to chat with someone that has been there before.
Thanks everyone......Rod, Jube Joy, Alexandra, Heaven and Yanis Justin....Brown family
