Vietnam156K evidence

I know this may be a silly question, but on the 156K form it ask for my fiancee to "attach" evidence of engagement.  Is a photo alright?  Anything else?  Am I obviously overlooking something?

VietnamRed flag???

She has been talking English classes for about 10 months now, though she can read and write in english very well.  Probably spells better than me!  LOL

VietnamRed flag???

Plenty of proof.  I sent her copies of our chats and phone logs, since I mainly call her, they do not have the discount plan to do so that I have.  Photos, letters, etc... I even sent her signed photos of hockey players that they signed to her.

VietnamRed flag???

I was just wondering after reading a few threads if my situation will draw attention  during her interview.  I was introduced to Mong by my neighbor, her cousin.  We sent letters, pictures and chatted on the phone for about 5 months before I went to Vietnam, with her cousin, to see her.  We got engaged several months later and I call her twice a day since then.  Will Mong being my neighbors cousin be a red flag to the consular?  After all, I asked him, he did mot say hey, how about my cousin?  People meet here by those means alot anyway.

Vietnamstatus of application?

Ours took ours almost 2 months before she got packet 3.  All was mailed back and our status date changed again to 1-25-14 but she has yet to get anything from the embassy.  I am hoping it is about her medical and interview. Maybe New Years over there slowed mail.

Dave & MongNot TellingVietnam2014-02-04 14:53:00
VietnamNew VISA system starting February 22

Yes she received packet 3 and returned it  The embassy said in an IV response they have received all required completed forms and will schedule an interview.  This takes between 1-3 months.  That was around 2/7/14.

VietnamNew VISA system starting February 22

So, people that already got an email that they are being scheduled (She got hers last week) will not need to use the new system?  They said her wait is about 1-3 months.

VietnamVisa fee paid

Depends where you go for the medical.  One place will accept US cash, the other, Dong.  The embassy will inform you of your choices of where to go.

Congrats!!!  I was thinking of doing a posting to get some "real" they ask but your post helped.  My fiance has her interview on 6/13/14.  I hope ours goes as well as yours!

Thanks,  so if send her $140 for the physical and maybe another $100 for the shots?  Sound reasonable?

Does anyone know the costs for vaccines at HMC if my fiance needs any?

VietnamCertificate of single????

My local county courthouse said they can provide a certified letter on their letter head that states there is no record of marriage for me as of this date.  Sound good?  After I pick it up I can email it to her.

Dave & MongNot TellingVietnam2014-05-06 13:43:00
VietnamCertificate of single????

Thanks.  This is for me to get correct?  Not her?

Dave & MongNot TellingVietnam2014-05-06 13:06:00
VietnamCertificate of single????

My fiance over in Vietnam says that she needs a "certificate of being single" to take with her to her interview.  I do not know if this is required there or not.  I can send her a copy of my divorce decree, but that was included when I filed the 129.  My local court house said they have no such thing.  Is she just over reacting in trying to be sure she has everything she may need?  Anyone who has just been through a interview at HCM consulate lately have any advice?

Thanks in advance!

Dave & MongNot TellingVietnam2014-05-06 12:18:00
VietnamSoooo nervous

So, after a long wait the journey will be coming to the end on June 13, she has her interview.  I am the USC but I feel I am more nervous than her!  Just venting!!!  When we speak she seems to have everything in order, I hope so.

Dave & MongNot TellingVietnam2014-06-10 12:01:00
VietnamShould I make my first visit to see fiancee since she returned home after J1 visa and accompany her to K1 visa interview in HCMC?

The consulate did ask of me on a 221g she was given at her interview, as to why I had only visited her once.  It had to be signed and notarized.  We are in AP as of now.

Mong did her own and had it notarized in Vietnam. Not sure if you did it here in the US.

VietnamInterview documents

As for Bruins, it just said to list where she lived for the last 10 years and who lived there.  As for frontgear, I could not answer that for sure.  Maybe just a notarized statement that there is none in the USA.  My fiance was asked just about relatives in the USA, which she has two families here.  I met her through her cousin, my neighbor, at my request.

My fiance was asked for a list of relatives in the US and 10yr. list of where she lived and whom lived there.

VietnamFinally get to tell her "Welcome to America!"

My fiance will be arriving here in PA this Wednesday evening.  Or at least I hope so as she has never flown before!  I sent her an email on what to do and who to ask should she get confused.  Get to welcome her to a nice cooler enviroment, she is from south Vietnam.  I want to have a coat ready for her but I am not sure of adult small or Petite.

But most of all I would like to thank all who helped and gave support through this long journey!  Good luck to the rest!

She is going from Vn to Narita, Japan.  Her POE will be Detroit and then off to Pittsburgh, PA on Delta.

VietnamFood supply suggestions needed.

Well I have a lot of Beef, both steaks and ground, and pork.  I live near Pittsburgh, PA and there is an Asian section there with markets.  I go there to eat once in awhile.  Thanks for the suggestions, I was planning to take her there after she adjusts to the time difference.  Was just thinking for a couple of days till I can take her there.  Oh yeah, and a big vase of flowewrs for her arrival.

VietnamFood supply suggestions needed.

My fiance will be arriving tomorrow evening.  Does anyone have any suggestions on staple foods that I can have at the house for her?  I have jasmine rice, vietnamese fish sauce, curry powder, peanut oil and rice paper from my own cooking attempts!

VietnamNow what??? Help!!!

Thank you for advice, anyothers?  I think the same, sickness due to being home sick.  The problem is, my neighbor is her cousin.  She mad him mad a couple of moths ago when he was talking with her and telling her what she needst  do, for the embassy.  She replied, " I can handle this, you stay out".  Since then, he has been alienating her and told me " she is your problem now ".  She brought him gifts when she came over but he returned them, saying he does not want them.  I told him to grow up and now he is pis**ed at me!  He seems to be the type that a woman can not do without me, guess he was wrong!  He is 20 years older than her, and refuses to speak with her now.

VietnamNow what??? Help!!!

Well my fiancee has beeen here for two weeks tomorrow in the US.  For the first two days she was eager to do things and meet people.  But for the last week and a half she will not even leave the house.  She will not go food shoping or meet friends.  One of my friends came over and she would not even come out of the bed room.  She says she is tired or sick, but no temperature.  She wants a particular type of food and when I get what I thought she wants but I am worng, she just gets mad and shoves it away mad, so I said you come show me what to but and she says, no.  She will not go clothes shoping and the only clothes she has were from Vietnam,  so she will need more (North East).  Any suggestions, Help???

VietnamI do not have my Birth Certificate! I am the US Petitioner

They never asked for the original, they had a copy.  But they did want the original divorce decree with the raised seal of the court from me.  Even though they had a copy.

USCIS Service CentersK1 Transfered from VCS to TSC multiple texts

I hope so also, that will spped things along sooner than expected!  I have been having my congressional aid constantly following up on it.

USCIS Service CentersK1 Transfered from VCS to TSC multiple texts

I filed in April and got a NOA1 from VSC in late May, 2013.  On Tuesday last week I got a text alert and a letter stating my case was transfered to TSC.  Now yesterday I got a text and email stating a ststus update again, but when I checked it is still in inital decision.  Does this mean they may actually be working on it now?  That would be great if so!

Dave & MongNot TellingVietnam2013-08-13 09:28:00
USCIS Service CentersNOA "transfer"

I am in a similar situation.  Mine was filed at VSC but was transfered last week to TSC.  Hopefully they are faster in Texas.
