No, I'm not anticipating anything to come up unexpected.

Well, I believed myself to be smart enough to complete the Petitions by myself as they were basically self-explainatory. Now that the I-129F has actually been approved I'm just getting nervious and don't want anything to go wrong at this point. She has been waiting a long time for this and so have I.

That is why I thought about bring a lawyer onboard now but I know it is too late in the game for that. I just wanted to have no mistakes at such a critical stage. She'd kill me if I messed up her turn to do the leg work. hhhh

And yes I have heard about the K-3 becoming obsolete. Thanks everyone.

K-3 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsApproved
Today I rcvd notice that USCIS has approved our I-129F Petition for my wife and was put in the mail today August 20, 2012.

I am excited to see what is next to come. I believe that the I-864 is next for me to complete along with other information to complete and then all of this to her in Morocco so she can have an interview at the American Consulate there.

I had completed all of the paperwork and procedures without an Immigration Lawyer for the I-130 and I-129F but now I am thinking to hire one.

K-3 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsI-129F Approved
I was hoping that someone might could give me a heads up on what to expect next concerning the Affidavits Of Support?

Our Petition I-129F/ Spouse was Approved on August 20, 2012 so the NOA2 is enroute to me and enroute to the NVC.

I am the Petitioner and I am just trying to get prepared for what's coming next. This what we have been waiting for and it has put a lot of stress on my wife and I as I'm sure it does everyone.

My question this: How does a person know which Affidavit Of Support they will receive...??? Is it a simple luck of the draw...???

I thank any and everyone in advance for you feed back.

Sincerely,
MoroccanLove

K-3 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsK3 Advice
The K-3 Non-Immigrant Visa is still available. I am the US Citizen and I applied for the K-3 Visa after I had filed the I-130 in April 2012 for my wife to bring her faster into the US and then apply for Adjustment of Status while waiting for the I-130 process.

Well by the time our K-3 Application had been approved in August 2012 and sent to the NVC, our I-130 Petition was also approved and sent to the NVC as well. This action made our K-3 Visa Petition (Non-Immigrant Visa) useless and now we have been changed to the CR-1 Spousal Visa (Immigrant Visa).

So what I am trying to say is that if you file the I-130 Petition then filing for the K-3 is a waste of time and paperwork. After we experienced this process I would say you are better off filing for the I-130.

But it is up to you. Good luck

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NOA2 I-129F Rcvd...???
We received DS-3032 and a request to pay the AOS fee of $88.00. No problem.

My concern is that we applied for a K-3 "Non-Immigrant" Visa, however in the information they continued to speak about an "Immigrant" Visa.

I am thinking they changed our Non- Immigrant Visa into an Immigrant Visa....??? If we are applying for the K-3 Non-Immigrant Visa do I still have to pay the AOS fee...???

Thank you for any help

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NOA2 I-129F Rcvd...???
Today, August 24, I got in the mail NOA2 I-129F, which was approved. However, there were no additional documents included. Only a statement saying that the approved petition had been forwarded to the listed consulate, in this case Morocco.

So the approved I-129F is on it's way to both the NVC and the Consulate in Morocco...???

What happened to the Affidavit Of Support form...??? Why was this not included...??? When will I get I-134 for the Non-Immigrant Visa...???

If anybody can clear up my small confusion about what's going on in this stage I'd appreciate it.

Sincerely,
MoroccanLove

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK-3 question
I was worried about the samething. I just got notice from the California Service Center stating that our I-129F Petition was Approved by USCIS and I will get instruction in the mail soon. It only took 4 months to be approved.

The notification did not say K-3 which is what I petitioned for my wife. I am sure they will let us know. I hope

Middle East and North AfricaHello Everyone. 1st Time User
I am a US Citizen and my wife is living Morocco. I just got notice that our I-129F Petition (Spouse) has been Approved.

I am wondering what is the next step in our immigration process. i know that a packet is soon to arrive. My quess is that it will contain the I-864 Affidavit Of Support. I believe the next step will be for her to complete the application for her Visa at the American Consulate in Morocco.

I welcome any advice from anyone with experience on part of our process.

Thanks

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-864, I-864A confusion
Now you have me confussed about the I-864 and I-1864A. The I-864 is for the Petitioner to complete in this case me and the I-864A Contract Between Petitioner and Household Member where the household member agrees to add their income and assets to the Petitoners.

I am seriously concerned about the I-864 as this is the next step for my Moroccan wife and I.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresIV Application Question
On the IV Application there are questions about who's information actually goes into Questions 19-28 is this information wanted about the parents of the Principle Immigrant or the information of the American Citizen who is the Petitioner...???

I know that Questions 14-18 were for my information the petitioner/spouse.

Thanks for any experienced feedback

Sincerely,
