Thumbs up for VJ! Without VJ, I won't be here right now with my better half.

Many people asked me how did we do it all without lawyer at all! Well, I got 'my lawyers' here, lol. We're not rich so we can't afford a lawyer but VJ makes it all possible for us to unite in US. I recommend this site to everyone.

Thanks for all VJs who never bored answering my questions and help me with their sharings!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduressending forms
Hello there,

Just a suggestion, I think everything about immigration-mailing stuff is worth to pay a bit more for tracking the package. If you don't wanna pay too much for Fedex or UPS, USPS does have a certified mail that cost a bit more than regular mailing but still cheap. Just ask them for a tracking system, and if you wanna keep it on budget, don't pay more for the signature receipt thing (I'm not sure what they call it but they always offer that extra option when you ask for tracking system).

Good luck!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionJust want to share - biometrics rejected, sigh...
All over again...

Well, this isn't the first time. When I applied for my (conditional) GC it took me over 2 years to get my card. I cannot help it, whenever I'm nervous my hands always sweating (a lot) and official stuff always makes me nervous. It took 3 biometrics, several InfoPass, 2 sets of Police Clearance that time until they approved my application and got my GC. Woooo hooo..... so happy, but (somehow) I knew it's going to happen again... LOL.

Yes, it does. Last month I had my biometrics, two times in a month, both rejected. Sigh... I was almoooossttt passed the first biometrics, if only the lady didn't keep on spray my hand with water and made it so wet (then I got nervous, yikes). Last week, the 'love letter' in our mailbox, (sigh) a NOA asked me to provide Police Clearance and affidafit letter.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresGetting Worried
I think you should contact them and try to find out what's going on. On our case, we always sent the package through a one night delivery and using Fedex so we can tract the package. It cost much but I think it's worth it and it's only one time anyway. Since we used overnight service, we always got the NOA not long after that (about a week).

Good luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresToo much?
Trey,

When we submitted our paperworks, we only included 3 or 4 of our emails (@ 4 - 7 pages each), some pics and copy of phone cards. We sent the package with a letter mentioning these are some of evidence that we sent along but we have more should they request it, just to let them know about the fact. I don't think you need to send too many because they don't really look at it though. (I guess they getting tired to read such evidence, can you imagine how many case they got each month? LOL)

The most important evidence (I think) is pics of you two together in the last two years and would be nice if you also have pics with her and her fam or your fam.

Last, lots of pray! ^_^
Good luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurescost of k1 after packet received

Hi I'm new to the group, and I read the faq's. I couldn't find an answer to my question. I would like to know if anyone knows the cost of the medical exam, and councelor fees etc. once your packet is received? Thanks in advanced....

I guess it depends on the country your fiance live in. I live in Indonesia and I only paid about $60 for the medical exam package and it's still valid when I submitted my AOS.

Welcome and good luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures7mos of waiting,my interview is coming this August
Hi Rose,

I'm not sure about how does it work in your country, I'm just guessing maybe it's the same as mine (I'm from Indo by the way), yes, the embassy doesn't allowed any other person accompanying you to go inside the embassy unless you have a really good reason for that (such as handicap probably, or I ever went there accompanied my grandma base on her age, she's too old to go there alone). Anyway, with your fiance being there won't help much either.

They won't asked weird question anyway, just take it easy. And if you have this relation with your fiance for real, you won't have anything to lie about anyway, so you'll be okay. If you were worried about language barrier, I think most of embassy people also understand native language, so you'll be okay anyway. I think the embassy people are smart enough, they can tell people whom lied or just nervous.

Last but not least, good luck to you two!
