US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Just missed a call from the embassy	Hey Guys, Hope you are all doing well!! So my interview is on monday, and i have been doing pretty ok up until this point, Then my mother calls to say there was a missed call from the embassy. Immediatly i freak out, they didn't leave a voicemail or anything like that, I just wondered if anyone has had a call from the embassy a few days prior to their interview, and also any idea's why they would have called?!! I called them back but they said they were closed till monday and that i should try then, but my interview is monday so it's kinda not going to work. And one more thing, Those of you who had your interview and been approved, IF you didnt recieve your visa on the day of the interview, How long was it till you got it? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Visa Interview gone wrong	Please try to look on the bright side...... Don't say ''they are depriving me of my passport to keep you out of the USA'' Say... ''good, they have my passport, this could go well and everything will be fine'' Look at things positively and you will have a positive outcome. I lived everyday in fear that SOMETHING would go wrong, and for SOME reason, i would never get my visa and wouldn't get to come back to my love. But i never gave up hope. as hard as it gets (and we all know how hard it gets) you can't loose sight of what all this struggle was for. Its such a shame you had a bad experience at the interview. But be positive. I promise things will work out for you. You are both in my thoughts. I was just wondering what the waiting time was to hear that they have recieved our paperwork, so that we can check our process online and such!! We started to panic ourselves thinking what if something happened, what if they got lost in the post, what if we didnt fill them in correctly all kinds of crazy thoughts, and the nerves are setting in now cause its been a while since they were sent!!! I am so upset and totally freaking out, we sent in our paperwork, I129f form i think it was weeks ago, we haven't heard ANYTHING back yet at all, i was looking at some of your timelines and it seems that there was a pretty quick response, i have NO idea what to do, ALL of our stuff was in the package, cheque, photo's letters etc.... now.....i was also looking at the link to the processing times, i checked the activity for the past 3 months, it shows 1 application for a K1 visa for ireland....Do you think that could possibly be us??? Its the only hope we have left, the process is already taking so much time, i just want to be back with him so bad....its so tough. Sooooo after stressing ourselves out so much, AND a really long wait....We finally got our NOA!!! took alot longer than we thought it would but at least we have it, we are so happy, and relieved!!! whats the next step now?? James sent ALL of the stuff at the start, the package with our pictures and letters etc, so i dont know if we will have to send it again?? I'm really not sure of the process, its so confusing lol. Also he booked me tickets to come visit for 3 weeks in october, I know i should bring some things with me to prove i'm gonna come home after the 3 weeks, but i'm not sure what i should bring y'know, Is it usually a problem going to visit?? I know in some cases they IF they dont issue you you with the visa on the same day as the interview, it takes 1 week for them to post it to you, OR they ask you to go back the next day to collect it. i am really hoping that its one of the latter, i really dont wanna hang around lol, i wanna get back asap!! So i guess i should wait till i have the visa, the interview is the 8th, think i'd be safe enough booking the flights for the 16th?? and would immigration stop me at the airport i wonder?!! I am alot less stressed over the work question now hahaha. the whole affidavit of support is boggling both myself and james, from questions 8 onwards, it would seem that it doesnt 'HAVE' to be him that is my support when i am in the USA, HOWEVER it obviously has to be him??? i mean who else would it be? lol. i would appreciate some help with this though, IF anyone can.... question 11. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Sept 2008 K1 VSC filers	Hey guys, glad to see everyone's case is moving along I received my paperwork from the embassy, Finally, I made my appointment for my medical exam, It is on Thursday YAY!! The day after they sent my paperwork, i got another letter from the embassy, saying the medical exam has changed significantly, I now have to call my local healthboard to request ALL of my vacination records. Bit of a set back as our health system tend to take their time with things. anyway i thought this might be useful info for you guys. Also one thing that is bothering me, they ask what i work at currently. Because of this recession i have no job , i have been working as a photographers assistant BUT its not really a full time thing, I am worried this will go against me, and also they are asking what i plan to work at if i do get my visa and go to the states, i had wanted to go back to school but hadnt really thought of what EXACTLY i was going to work at. any thoughts on it? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Sept 2008 K1 VSC filers	Hey Guys, So after what i thought was going to be a major setback, (they sent back paperwork to my fiance, cause there was a yes/no box not ticked) anyhoo, He sent it back the next day and i was all set to sit back and wait another couple months to hear something, then i checked the USCIS site, like i always do, just on the offchance and this is what it said Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed. On February 17, 2009, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register. So, i dont know if its important news, i dont wanna sound dumb, but this is a good thing right?? I tried to check the processing time thing and i really cant figure it out, all the dates say 2008?!! Is there somewhere else i can check the status now? And has anyone else from the september group got this yet?? and if so how long was it till you heard some other news? I was rather upset about it, but I know of another couple who had to send in 'further evidence" during the Consukate interview! So I did what she did-and so should you! 1. Make copies of 1 page of montly phone bils IF you have them, showing that you have had an on-going telephone relationship. IF you can put his/hr name in stead of the phone number, like I can with Verizon, do that. Personalisze it. 2. Make copies of several pages of phone chats from MSN or whatever Chat you use. 3. DO NOT put the photos on a disk! They do not have time for that! Print them out, either paper or take them to the instant photo place and take copies. Send them picciesof the two of you together, with dates and notes. 4. ANYHTHING you two bought together, receipts! Barry paid for the I-129 paperwork with his bank account number while we were in Sweden! So i have proof I was there with him. 5. My flight Itinerary, ticket stubs from my visit. 6. E-mails to my family and friends talking about us together, sent from Sweden during the visit. 7. Photos of Barry and his son taken by me, and photos of me and Barry taken by his son. 8. Love letters! Honestly, anything and everytging...I had so much I had to go back and purge some of it. Make a nice little packet with a cover page and table of contents. Date everything!!!!!!! Good luck...we have been waiting for almost a year now! We have our Interview on Wednesday. (Barry has to sit for 10 hours on the bus from Sundsvall to Stockholm, 5 down, the interview, and 5 back!!!).and I can use some good thoughts here! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	it all starts for me next week	So we have our check, which is what we were waiting for to get the ball rolling and send off the first lot of paperwork. He is gonna post it all then, i am so excited, i will feel so much more releaved knowing that this is the start of the process...The ebassay posted all of our paperwork to us, they also included the I-129 form, do we send them all together? or is there a specific time to send that?? and also, what exactly needs to be send in the first package??? a couple of things i wanted to ask is, I was planning to go visit for a couple of weeks in october, does anyone think that this would be possible? and one more thing is, i have been trying to figure out the timelines, and honestly, i dont know whether i dont get them or i just cant concentrate long enough to figure them out, i wanted to get a rough idea how long it usually takes, OR if there is anyone here from ireland that is or has gone through the same process that i can chat to, part of my is thinking it can't possibly take as long as some people has told me, then part of me doesn't even wanna believe that its very likely that it'll be longer than i think.
