US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Waiting for K1 VISA	Hello all, I have a question for anyone that might be able to provide insight. My fiancee had her interview at the embassy on April 23, but had to submit additional paperwork on April 29th. She was told to wait a week, and we assumed the visa would arrive via Delbros after the week. But here we are, april 6th, and the visa has not yet arrived. In fact, she even contacted Delbros, and according to them, they still haven't received the visa from the embassy. Since she lives in the province of Laguna, it is supposed to take a week to be delivered by delbros. Therein lies our problem. She has a scheduled flight leaving from the PI to the USA in just 9 days. I can change the flight easily because of my elite flying status, but I'd prefer not to. Does anyone have any idea of how long it typically takes to get the visa after the visa interview? Do we still have a chance on the May 15th date? Thanks... I was the one who called DELBROS i really looked for the lady whom i talked to before and she apologizes it was a miscommunication according to her....what happened is USEM sent request 2x so they cancelled the first one (April 15) and finally,,,, i was included in May 5 batch to be verified to NSO. Why is it that when i get copies of the Documents (BC and CENOMAR) from NSO it only takes them 1 week for BC and 2 weeks for the CENOMAR. But now, its more than 3 weeks and NSO is not yet done with verifying those documents. I have never post here not even replying to the posts. I am just an avid reader, a silent member but now, i cant help it and i wanted also to share my sentiments. I know we are all PRAYING for our VISA. GOD Help US... HI ATE DID U CALL THE NSO TODAY? My girl was confused and she was fed wrong information. The counselors really couldn't know though, because they are giving instructions on matters that they themselves never experienced. The counselors at PRISM must specify that they are asking for the fiance's/husband's mother's maiden name in place for the middle name. That way applicants won't get confused about it. I'm fortunate that my husband explained to me how the name goes here in US. Because in the Philippines, men and women use their mother's maiden name for middle name. For women, once they got married, the middle name changes to their own maiden name, drop the mother's maiden name and use the husband's last name, while for men, even if they got married, nothing changes. It's so confusing too but that's how it goes over there. After I got married, instead of dropping my mom's maiden name and use my own maiden name as my middle name (the Philippine way), I thought I'd follow how the name goes here in US, which means keeping the middle name that I have been using all my life. I didn't follow how they do it in the Philippines to make things more understandable. And besides, I'm already here in US so I better follow how they do it here. Lucky for those who have two names like Maria Cristina or Mary Anne or Christine Marie, etc... Rice cooker and rice (secured them a few weeks ago) 2. 24 Hour Fitness Gym membership-bought 3 year prepaid for her, renews at just $29 a year after 3. Verizon Wireless Env Cell phone 4. House will be cleaned before arrival 5. bought new car, so she will have her own car.. Needs to learn how to drive first tho! 6. bought new laptop, so she will have own computer. 7. Checked into catholic churches and filipino restaurants in area (ate at one a few weeks ago... will bring her there) 8. Looking into Filipino package on Directv satellite TV. I just turned 40, and her 28. Don't get confused, people. She and I share the account, so sometimes you will see posts from one of us, or both, for that matter! I don't think our age makes a difference in our case. We are deeply in love, as my girl pointed out. When I was a bit younger, I wasn't really interested in getting married as much, and wasn't really desiring children... It just wasn't my time. Entering into my late 30's, and especially with the entrance of my beautiful fiancee Margin, I started to realize what I was really missing in life. So on June 19th, our journey will begin. Soon after, Zachary Jaden will be conceived and created, hopefully. At 40 years old, I'm finally ready to be a dad.
