Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionA couple of I-751 questions!
Hello

I searched through the forum and guide for answers to these, but did not turn up anything:

Should I put Melissa's new last name (her married name) as her family name on part 4 of I-751 where it says 'information about the spouse or parent through whom you gained your conditional residence'? Or should I put her maiden name?

Why is yet another biometrics appointment (and FEE) necessary after already having fingerprints and photos taken during the first part of this ordeal? I'm a little fed up of travelling to my local office at the derelict shopping mall in Hammond, Indiana.

One last thing - does anyone know if Nebraska Service Center prefers checks or money orders for the I-751 fees?

Many Thanks for this and past help, VisaJourney community!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionThink it is enough??
I also only have about half of what is on that list. Personally I'm trying not to go too overboard because it just seems like you're trying too hard. Absolutely no offense to the original poster and everyone has their own circumstances and reasons, but 10 affidavits seems a bit overkill and I would be concerned that the USCIS might interpret it incorrectly. Probably won't be saying that when I get an RFE though! :crying:

After reading all of the guides and advice I decided to send:

Copy of resident card
Warranty Deed for our home
Two affidavits from friends
Copies of our federal and state tax returns for 2005 and 2006
Recent copy of our joint bank account
Copy of our joint car insurance policy
Recent copies of garbage/trash/water bill, energy bill and dental bill (some in both names, others not)
Copies of three Christmas cards and one postcard with both our names
Copies of our Sam's Club and Kohl's cards.

The bottom line is that if your marriage is real, then regardless of the circumstances or lack of evidence, you really shouldn't have too much to worry about.
