K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K-1 August 2010 VSC filer	Got a question. WE have notice from the Moscow Embassy on Feb 11, and I wrote the Embassy for information on when her interview was and this is set for April 20. She has not got a packet from them on anything and I thought they had something to send to her. It has been a month and there is 32 days left. I was wondering is the list found on this link the same information that maybe coming to her. When can she expect the packet and by what means wil it be delivered? Thank you for your information. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K-1 August 2010 VSC filer	Well to update ours ... we have the NOA2 in hand and I called last week because it was the 2 week mark since our petition was approved and the paper said that we should hear in 2 to 4 weeks something. I called the National Visa Center and they had only recieved the paperwork a week later. This is all we know right now. How long from the NOA2 does it usually take to the Moscow interview? Anyone know about the Russian Moscow Embassy and if they have a backlog? She has not got anything from anywhere yet. By the way congratulations to those who have their NOA2 approvals. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K-1 August 2010 VSC filer	Well today I have recieved in the mail the hard copy of my NOA2 and it says that the National Visa Center (NVC) wll build me a case number and the processing should be complete in 2 to 4 weeks after receiving the papers from USCIS. After this is done they will be sending the petition to the Embassy in Moscow where she will be interviewed. I will receive a letter from them when they have sent notice to the Embassy in Moscow. The USCIS has completed all action; further inquiries should be directed tothe NVC. Thanks hope this helps someone and encourages others. She and I are so elated and happy. Next big thing is her interview. I wonder what date approx. the interview for her at the Moscow Embassy. The man Freddy was reading from a script all the time when I tried to get him to answer me away from the paper he was reading from he would go right back to the script. So If you all are getting information of added information about other visas being processed before our K1 visas. The man I talked to just did not offer any other hope in the mix of things. I know I'm glad I took the time to plan another trip to Moscow. I will be taking the needed papers in person to her now for her future interview. Wow what a journey!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K-1 August 2010 VSC filer	I get to go back and see her before we get the approval. My supervisor gave me the Ok to have a week of unpaid leave off to go to Russia. Her family is excited to have me come out. I went in the hottest part of the summer now go in the dead of winter to Moscow. This was great news for her and I. Now just 31 days to see my bride to be again. My timeline says they will be working on or petition (Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 17, 2011 and January 25, 2011*.) Do you all know what I should take papers that she will need of me so I can take to her directly so she is ready for her interview later? I have to give her a copy of all that I sent in my papers with the I129-F papers? Is this correct? I know I have to give them the I134 form too. Thanks for the help. I just wish they would process something for the people of VJ... just to know there are people doing work at Vermont! When I was looking today I noticed on the times of the processing that they are sending out NOA2 from July 17th applications. Meaning theyare that much closer to us who filed in August. It just to bad we had to land in the middle of the busiest holiday seasons. Christmas has always made the US government slower. January will pickup speed and we will all be getting better new soon. That may be the one thing I have to keep from being so impatient. I know my Russian bride to be is more patient than I am. This forum also breaks up the dulldrums of the long wait. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K-1 August 2010 VSC filer	I seen in one of the petitioners from the California Service Center they had their NOA2 sent to them on November 23 and he filed in July it was 140 days from NOA1 to NOA2. With that timline I will be waiting till January 17, 2011. Oh well a springtime wedding will be beautiful here in the Boise, Idaho area. We have snow still even in the valley in April. She asked me where all the people are and I said we have people not 15 million like Moscow. In the Treasure Valley it covers an area of 630 sq miles with less than 500,000 people in it. That's a "touch" .. they are relatively meaningless, so I wouldn't worry about them too much, but that's where you find them. Where exactly do you find this? All I get at the web site at US immigration site just initial review. Our I129 was processed date was August 30th. 2010. I knew that was maybe the best decision. Your best course of action is to consult with an immigration attorney. You need accurate information for a complicated situation. Soliciting legal advice from wannabee "expert" attorney's (including myself) who are not licensed nor accountable could just send you down the wrong road. I Want some help here because of the long list of law it is easy to get lost. I petitioned for her mother and her August 2010 and she turned 21 in January which was the 5 month mark of our papers. Why don't you read up on why the law was put in place and then come back and tell us if it applies to your situation; The Child Status Protection Act (CSPA), Pub. L. 107-208 (Aug. 6, 2002), was enacted to provide relief to children who "age-out" as a result of delays by the Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) in processing visa petitions and asylum and refugee applications. The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) defines a "child" as an unmarried individual under 21 years of age. 8 U.S.C. § 1101(b)(1). The CSPA does not change this definition, but instead changes the point at which the child's age is calculated. Prior to the CSPA, an application for permanent residency as a direct or derivative beneficiary child would be approved only if adjudicated prior to the child turning 21.3 Upon turning 21, a child would "age out" and lose the preferential status of a child. As the result of agency backlogs and delays, many children aged out before their cases were complete. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	how do I get my to be 24 year old daugter to the usa	I have a similar question about my step daughter who is now 22 I filed for her when she was 20 with her mom. Now married to her mom and she has green card. I have a document about children that was signed in 2002 which reads the following: On August 6, 2002, the President signed into law the Child Stutus Protection Act (CSPA), Public Law 107-208,116 Stat. 927 which amends the Immigration and Nationality Act (Act) by permitting an applicant for certain benefits to retain classification as a "child" under the Act, even if he or she has reached the age of 21. I was told by USCIS that the wait for Russia was 9 years for her mom to petition but after I called and asked my wife had friend do some digging and found this information and she has been told that I had the daughter on my original petition and I am still able to get her here.
